All I can say is "thanks a million!" I was fed up with our quite new "electronic" washing machine suddenly sounding like the house was falling down! I suspected an internal problem with the tub - and your video came right up. I can't thank you enough! You have a new subscriber. 🙂
I fixed my shocks (suspension rods), by jamming upholstery foam about 2 1/2" thick by 12" square in the corners. It is keeping my machine from violently shaking now. It works very well now. Hope this help others. Make a video and post it. No need to replace the rods!
Did service work for over 10 years in Oklahoma. On almost every brand, and except the Tulsa area I was responsible for the rest of the state. I watched ur video to help me remember how to get the job done. TY it was a very good video.
Thank you so much for taking (YOUR TIME) to show us how to fix this washing machine. I just replaced my shocks and it sounds great. No banging. Thank you. Saved me $500 on a new washing machine for only $30 on Amazon parts
Thanks Bro! My washer, a Kenmore 80 series is on its last legs. Then I see my next-door neighbor having a brand new washer being delivered. Once the truck left and their old Whirlpool washer was still sitting in their driveway, I went over and asked them if they would mind if I took it to my house (right across the street) because my washer was banging and slamming around during spin cycle. They told me "have at it, we have a new one", So I two-wheeled it across the street, got on TH-cam, found your video, and now I have myself a pretty much brand new washer! Thank You, Man You saved me a ton of money and schooled me on how to fix up old washers.! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thanks for creating and posting this video! I just needed to lift the top up so I could retrieve a sock that was trying to escape. Your video made it easy.
Thank you very much for your help in getting the washer balancing to back new again 😊. With so little parts compared to the old washers, I was wondering if I needed a new one just being over two years old. But thanks to you that was avoided again thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much for this video. I was able to fix our washer that was violently banging and walking across the floor. Ran my towels and it’s nice and quiet! No more run away washer. 😌
I did everything I could, New suspentions rods, new acuator motor, pulled the agitator and pulled all the change out of the drain holes, thought this may help drain.ran diagonsis said lid switch was bad replaced it, bought the new hub nut and wrench but at this point the best decision I have ever made was to load it up and take it to the dump and hurl it out the back of the truck, then went to costco and bought a new one. Happy Wife Happy life.
Great Video! With your tips and the step-by-step instruction, I was able to fix my washer in 30 minutes! Buy the factory parts, saves money in the long run! Thanks Bro!!!
Man i did the repair with shocks, it took about 15-20min. It worked great for a few days and then the shaking came back! After watching your video I realized i must have done something wrong, so I looked again and I guess one of the plastic pieces came off from the top of the hook, i just put back and added a load, well see if makes a difference.
This is my exact machine. I just removed the tubs to deep clean, due to years of pet hair build up. 😛. Came out beautifully clean. Now its banging as if the devil is trying to escape hell, via my washing machine. It won’t spin all the water out, so my clothes smell…again. I never knew about testing the pump. I’ll do that, then change the shocks.
Just a fyi! You can use the old springs as a hook to pull up to pull up one of the replacement springs. Putting a rag or towel underneath the motor as stated in the video, will aid you in the process. Thanks for the video "Diy Repairs Now".
Thanks brother. This video helped me to get my repairs underway. I have to wait for the dampeners to come in to complete the repair. I will hit the subscribe and like buttons to show my appreciation. Best wishes bro.
Had issue with mine banging and sometimes shutting off in sensing and after wash light lit up it would just stop...all these issues solved by replacing pressure switch clear hose in back had a pinhole where it rubbed against back plate ..Reason for banging never achieved correct water level because of the hole in hose ..took me weeks to figure it out ..diagnostic mode showed f8 e1 so if your getting water from then inlet solenoids ..check the clear hose
I’ve replaced all 4 rods and even changed the hub but it doesn’t stop the tub from swaying side to side. So when it does a spin cycle it bangs around like crazy. Any other suggestions?
When spinning the drum empty at full speed, the inner drum don't shake much, but the outer drum shakes a lot. I'm thinking the inner drum is out of round, and transmitting force to outer drum. Does that make sense?
For some reason the last balance code light come on but don't flash they stay all on then after 1 a minute it shuts off and still shaking like crazy and the spring are new if I sit on it it will do the spin but otherwise is like coming apart and course don't finish the spinning
If You Have a Wash Plate or Impeller Instead of an Agitator, You Can do the Test By Grabbing the Sides of the Tub and Pushing Down. Here is a Video as Demonstration: th-cam.com/video/NRzb_CxZk8Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bANTwAsGaZ1bpI5a&t=41

The rod system is the problem, replacing them is a very short lived fix. Shim the tub against the cabinet with foam or polystyrene . The most horrible washmachine design ever😂

just use the hook end on the shock you remove.
When finished installing the shocks
there is a small cutp about six
inches above the shock holder should this be pushed down on the rod ?
Just leave it where it is from manufacturing 👋

Bicycle inner tube around basket from the top. (Barely any air at all) Adjust pressure up or down and she will let you know, lol.

You can find the Model Number on the Back of the opening of the washer or on the Side When you open the Lid.
