    You don't ride the Cyrusher, the Cyrusher rides you.

    This is a great video. I’m actually very impressed how it performed. I would be great on tamed fire road. Would be interested if you considering doing bolt on kits e-bike conversion kit test. I have a buddy that can’t afford a true eMTB but added a bolt on Bafang kit on his Santa Cruz hard tail and pretty much keeps up with true eMTBs. Awesome jobs guys!

    This foray into comedy is great! Super entertaining 😂. More videos like this, please, with you whooping through corners in terror on garbage adventure bikes. I usually zone out on the emtb reviews because all of them are going to basically be good in one way or another since most emtb these days are super capable, but this kept my attention throughout and it was fun to watch you try to carefully choose your words to provide a review that wasn’t snarky or defamatory. I see a garbage e bike shootout in the future. It would be so freakin funny to watch you and your other reviewers hanging out and comparing these turds. Algorithm crusher 😂

    This bike and similar such as the Himiway Cobra are fantastic bikes, just not for the typical MTB type downhill trails where you’re doing jumps or drops. If you’re wanting to go off or on the path, deep into the woods for hunting, and such these bikes do very well. There is a definite use for these types of bikes, but they’re certainly not E-MTB’s and for use on those type of trails unless your plan is to go slow and site see.

      @TheLoamWolf  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely and we agree with you there. We hopefully got that point across, my father in law has land in Tennessee and he is thrilled about riding this bike around his land with no intention of ever riding the trails we ride, or needing to spend thousands more.

    You should have tried the Cyrusher Nitro, which is the high end one, mid drive, made for climbing. Also, air shock not oil shock. I'd love to see an a closer apples to apples comparison.

      The nitro is a beast 1000 watt bafang mid motor peaks at 1500 watts would eat those trails the ranger is a bit of both commute and bit of off road but really good bike

    The frame breaks it takes 4 months before they mail you the part and the brakes never work they're so weak cheap so I bought another one from them and within about 6 months it's just a hunk of crap.. so I went on and bought a battery bike by the company Jeep in Manhattan hasn't need any type maintenance and I've had it for 2 years and the brakes spot on every time.

    Thank you again for your review. I watch a lot of your TH-cam videos and they are all great. I know exactly what you mean with the Cyrusher. I have a Cyrusher that a cruise around the neighborhood and tow my dogs behind. But beyond that, I could not imagine riding this on my local single track trails. One of the trails I ride on the most is really rocky and has a lot of roots. I would feel like it would vibrate all the cavities out of my teeth. Lol. I have a Specialized turbo levo that I ride single track with, that has Ohlins’s suspension, Magura brakes,,Galfer rotors and there is just no comparison between the two bikes. Thanks again for the review. Keep up the great work with your videos. I have learned a lot about different parts and E mountain bikes from videos like yours.”😊

      I picked up the specialized Turbo Levo comp carbon fiber on sale for a little under $7000 last year. I have changed the suspension to Ohlins forks and coil shock for the rear, Ergon seat, Magura brakes, Galfer rotors and Pembree pedals and stem. I just love this bike. Lots of power.😎

    I can't get over looking at that stem/triple setup in the video, lol.
    There is a market for these, just hard to explain to those that don't ride, or ride a rental bike once a year.
    The only part about the bike I do like is the, 9 speed. I think we need less speeds on ebikes in general.
    Was going to say you should have reviewed the "nitro" as it is a mid-drive, but that bike is much as a base model giant, trek, or spesh.

    How did you keep a straight face while reviewing this bike?I was laughing my face off I kept picturing an old couple in there 60s trying to get up the mountain on the way to the store.I've been watching all kind of reviewers pushing these heavy cheap chinese death traps that go anywhere's from 30 to 60 mph on sub standard brakes and suspension.None of them are UL certified thus all the battery fires that are on the news these days.People are buying these in droves for 2k to 3k the reviewers should include funeral costs in the price.And the worst part is all the anti e-bike lawmakers are having a feast of all the bad incidents and are going to pass so many laws that we don't want to see!!!Finally an honest review thank you!!!

  • @superyamagucci

    I was just thinking "fair enough, cheap ebike..." then I checked the exchange rate. For the same price you could get a wide range of established quality brand front suspension e-bikes, any number of rigid e-bikes, and I'd suggest they'd be better than dual pogo-sticks for the same money.
    There's a few sales on here just now (NZ) and that's getting into carbon-with-XT trailbike money. (Minus the motor)
    $2800USD isn't "cheap" or, to me at least, "value for money" by a long shot. Obviously someone buying this isn't already a rider, and despite being an entry to the sport, their perception of it won't be great when their investment provides an unpleasant ride and frustration, and no doubt won't be riding in a year or two.

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah we agree on many fronts. For someone who has no intention of actually mountain biking, this isn’t bad, but if you’re looking to actually hit trails, a slight increase in initial purchase price will be better served for sure

  • @erikehudin8146
    @erikehudin8146 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you're saying there's a difference between a well designed mountain bike with superbly integrated electric assist, and a $350 hub motor kit and $300 battery held up off the ground by $250 worth of bike?

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's exactly what we're saying, yes. haha. For some reason viewers seem to think that we only review bikes that cost lots more because we're paid and brainwashed into believing they actually perform better... Kinda weird.
      However! There are plenty of people who would be happy with these types of bikes for their casual riding.

      @@TheLoamWolf I'd be willing to wager that 99% of them would be better served with a rigid or hardtail bike with a suspension seatpost and 2-3" tires, but marketing. I'm constantly linking them Sam Pilgrim's video on a cheap, folding, full "suspension" fatbike that starts to fold up during his warmup run down some gentle berms. Should have taken the Cyrusher off some sweet jumps!
