Not to mention, the church takes in the homeless, feeds the needy, and is responsible for many positives through history, such as the banning of poedophilia, and the murder of children, which used to be normal before Christianity. One of the funniest things about Tensura to me is that humans in the west actually believe they can beat demon lords. Any true demon lords would make them look like jokes.
Well, that nonsense was even bigger in the web, but in the light at least they had grambell, so it makes a little sense their confidence if taking him in account, although it is still very dumb

That's only because the Demon Lords have been silent for some years. Waiting for who the first one to male their move, making a very delicate power balance between them. Until it was all ruined by our little blue blob when he suddenly ascended to become a Demon Lord himself, subsequently making 3 other Demon Lords withdraw their position as one. It honestly fascinates me how much political and military power Rimuru gets because of his ignorance - lack of lnowledge of the current world he resides in - and still make it work out.

Honestly I'm not convinced about anyone but a select few in the Church to be taken seriously. I mean seriously they helped out Falmuth and look what happened to thier Military plus three otherworlders.
Honestly: props to Blummund for actually sending troops. Sure they were a day late and a dollar short, but they were down to fuck around.
Priest: Pray to God to be fully healed.
Tempest: Drink potion like cheap wine.
Rimuru is not aware but his negotiations with Blumund were actually beneficial, sure he now has to defend Blumund against the Eastern Empire but for the Empire to attack any western nation they need to pass through Tempest which would mean war against the Jura Federation. In short the war was inevitable either way but now Blumund is an official trading partner

Two topics that would be interesting to talk about in videos would be One, How did Rimuru put Veldora in his clone, and did Veldoras power take over the body completely or is Rimuru still connected to it. Two, How do the humans alternative to skills, Arts, work in series, and how do you get them.
As for Veldora, he is still connected to Rimuru and, in fact, never actually left his stomach. He's basically remote piloting the clone from inside Rimuru through the connection to it.

Rimuru is only connected by Soul Corridor linking him with Veldora. It gives him the Ultimate Skill of King of Storms Veldora but to use any of the sub-abilities of the Ultimate skill, he needs the permission of Veldora.
As for humans in this series, they have 2 evolution choices depending on the type of life they lived. One is becoming a Sage (Enlightened) through extreme hardship and gradually evolving to a Saint which takes time unlike the harvest festival for demon lords. Saints are as strong as True Demon Lords whereas Sage can be as strong as a Demon Lord Seed. Then there is the Hero's path. To get a Hero's egg you need qualifications like demon lord seed, like having a pure heart, wanting to help someone, being blessed by a spirit of light (or any other spirit as strong as light), and having no regrets on his own way of life. Awakening a hero seed makes you a True Hero, the proper equivalent of a True Demon Lord.
As for skills, with very specific conditions someone might attain a Unique Skill. Skills learned through training are Extra Skills. And people with big dicks get Ultimates. Ultimates even have tiers where two ultimates can have differences as to heaven and earth.

@@ravenfantasy5680 where did you get those hero's egg qualifications from? Never heard of them. Rudra, the first true hero, was so greedy that he threatened the first demon lord into giving him all his belongings. I don't see that as pure hearted.
Magic is just learned by practice, like any other magic system. Skills are given by the Voice of the World in acknowledgment of something you did, as long as your "desire" for it is large enough and the necassary magicules are present. Arts aren't something special, they're like hakoru's flaah step. Aka just tecniques learned through practice that don't take magicules, usually humans control their "ki" from what I remember. Gotta reread the "trinity in tempest" side manga cause it has more info on arts.

With how you are describing Rimuru, and how cautious he is, and how he’s thinking about how dangerous the humans are, it just makes me upset on how stupid it is he didn’t take any precautions for if humans attacked. He was warned multiple times, since he met the goblins, but yet he didn’t even try to prepare for it.

@@pralayajin-woo2700 it's not that he didn't care about them, it's more of that he's just an ordinary guy in his world, he probably didn't even imagine that someone would attack his hometown, those kinds of things didn't happen in modern Japan after.
Again bias blinds people, it was the bias of Rimuru towards dangers that humans posses. He had classified all of them as good guys, since he was one of them in his past life. He just didn't think that an entire country would come after him. He just wanted to be friendly toward humans.
He was naive, of course that naivete was broken when the guys did attack and Rimuru realized his mistakes.
I am going through the light novels again, and I get surprised at a few of the things left out of the show.

It's funny how the kingdom of blumond signed a mutual difense treaty in order to protect themselves against a human invansion, for the story to later evolve in such a way that the only time this agreement was interested was during farmus NOT VERY LONG lasting invasion in tempest.
Even more if you consider that later on rimuru's tempest federation ended up being the defensor of the western countries (in exchange of a tariff and some privileges, but that will happen in season 3 of the anime, so just wait!)

Hinata is the only Saint in the 10 great saints the other 9 are just Sages who are still a while off from evolving to Saints, but the western nation calls the group the 10 Great saints as humanity's opposition force to the 10 Great demon lords. Which feels disingenuous when we remember saints are roughly equal to beings who posses demon lord seeds and not actual true demon lords only Heros even have the potential to match true demon lords. The crusaders are a branch of the western holy church that serve as a standing military force to crush monster threats, 6 of the great saints hold positions in the crusader groups. Then 3 other saints belong to the master Rooks which is the Holy Empire's self defence force. Hinata belongs to both divisions as there supreme commander.

I think because we only focus on the story, not the meaning of it. If someone really focus on the story and think a lot of theories, then what were watching is the guy that knows the whole STORY very well.

As far as my progress is in reading the light novels, the paladins are: 6(+3)hastily introduced characters with very small amount of back story for me to relate or care about them, then are almost completely forgotten after the arc ends

Idk why but this type of content from this man is just so good and fun to consume. I really do love your work and hope you keep it up as it really does help inform fans of Tensura with these bits of information skipped and left out in the anime making it worthwhile to even go to the manga and read such.
I think that its a combination of both his soothing af voice and good pacing. He's not actually displaying any emotions (atleast thats how I see it) during the video's which make them really easy to digest while just listening to them without actually watching the video itself

Btw just a thought/question. I've began to read the manga after the Megiddo - i didn't regret it to see it slightly different than in the anime and also the extra chapter to see the day in perspective of a famas soldier. I did read about episode 3 of the second part of season 2 and in my mind i knew how many chapter were left to be on part with the manga. (i don't know anything about the light novel), but thinking about it. i think it might be difficult to get a season 3 if it's manga adapted, because there has to be manga content first.
i hope it will not get the same as with attack on titan. - which had it's (i think it was) second season made like 4 years later.
i wouldn't mind a "filler" treatment like in naruto i think >w
Its light novel adapted. The manga isnt even halfway through the light novels either. So there's plenty of content for the anime to get through.
I would love a video breaking down the different countries and organizations introduced so far in the anime. I definitely get them confused and they blur together quite a bit

Great Video as always (seriously, these are really concise and easy to digest for people who aren't into LN's).
Other cool topics to touch on would be maybe something a little more obscure like the GOAT Myourmiles' involvement in the story since they kinda brushed past him despite his importance (though he's not that present in the manga either).
Then again as of this point in the story he's not around all that much and it would probably end up being a rather short video so maybe not.
(If you're interested he shows up around ch. 49-50 in the manga and has a bigger roll around (iirc) vol. 9 in the LN).
Maybe you can make an "important skipped characters" video or something and include Beretta as well (since he'll likely be introduced next episode), maybe you can throw Mjurran in there too since she was also kinda glossed over.

The way that the Church worked reminds me of the Holy Roman Empire; it theoretically had the centralized power but it's constituent kingdoms sometimes were actually more powerful.

Eh, the Church *might* be a bit different than you think. You might be surprised from the stuff in LN 7.
Anytime the Anime maker skips that much content, is always a bad sign of how short lived the TV adaptation is going to live for.
To be fair, they covered most of the skipped stuff they could continuity wise in early Season 2. The original reason that all that content was cut out of Season 1 was to give a firmer ending that didn’t feel like so much of a cliff hanger. Due to the interest in Season 1, Season 2 was commissioned, and I imagine we may keep getting seasons until the end of the story if interest retains. Plus, the beginning of the next season will be amazing, then the adapted volume 8 & 9 will be insanely important but possibly a tad boring to people since it focuses on politics and economics with *basically* no big fights. But volume 10’s adaptation will pick it up hugely from where we are, then volume 11 will be action packed as well. Volume 12 will be a little dip, but Volume 13 completely makes up for it since the whole volume is literally nothing but combat. Volume 14 is a down again, but ends on such a huge note that it’ll all be worth it, as well as the stuff happening in that book being necessary to setup volume 15, which will be another combat filled banger. Volume 16 will have a good amount of combat near the beginning, before winding down into some politics, before the beginning of volume 17, which is actually just short stories, so I imagine it’ll be skipped in the main anime. After that is volume 18, which is the currently latest released volume, and it will start on a arguably high note, before getting mellow in the middle, then the ending will really take it up a notch, likely the highest it’s ever been and we are still going higher in volume 19.

Although it is definitely fair for you to think that they would eventually become allies, you shouldn't expect much of the "forgiveness and friendship" thing anymore going onwards. Because everyone thought the same thing about the otherworlders, and look what happened to them lmao. Not saying what happens to Hinata cause spoilers obviously, but it's much more complicated than "Hinata bad, Oh no Hinata make mistake! So Sorry" and swears loyalty to Rimuru or some dumb shit like that lol.

Having Blumund there is actually a good thing. He didn't really lose a thing by having them to protect. Fighting wars in the countries next to you is better than fighting them in your own.
I always wondered why in every isekai and most anime, churches are always some evil organisation 🤔
That's usually because these churches think that they are "doing the work of god" and the followers are oblivious to the fact that they are sometimes slaughtering innocent people and throw it under the rug by say "(insert gods name here) wills it!" while this is for the most part never true since its actually the (insert highest ranked individual here) getting pissed off or not liking those particular people (which are usually either the main character or someone who's better off then them)

They really fucked up Fuse's design in the anime.
I totally like the original designs more and agree it takes away from the original but sadly it just happens sometimes because they have trouble adapting the style to the screen. At least the animation isn't bad and most things are done well.

As much as it was a loss in World Building in the anime I can see why the Adventure Arc or as I call it the Journey to Ingrassia was left out of the main series. Because I can see it's an arc that is difficult to be placed into the slot when compared to some of the bigger arcs. BTW, is it just me or S2 part 2 feeling super slow? Although it does give a mild blow to where we the audience or even Rimuru would have known more about these Crusaders and the Council of the West.

From my memory the “Holy Emperor” is basically an underling of the “God” Lumonius Valentine. Said “God” is also one of the demon kings(Though pretending to be a maid during the banquet) as we would find out later when they all met each other(In the Walpurgis Banquet). And of course this “God” is also a vampire that leads all of the other vampires in the nation who are mainly situated in its nobility. And the human are basically cattle.
There’s a whole lot of other stuff that needs to be explained(Like the rivalry between Valentine and Veldora) but it’s complicated.

I would personally love if he did video on that anime since there are a couple of thing that I still don't get even after watching it a multitude of times
Interestingly enough, with Rimuru signing the mutual security, there isn't too much of a problem to be dealt with. Rimuru, the Goblin Riders, and more importantly as a general line of defense, Benimaru, Soue, Shion, and Hakurou. The only way to prepare for them would be what Falmuth did, and that'd have to be securely planned and defended, but with Soue constantly keeping watch, as well as Great Sage, or if events transpire after Rimuru's Demon Lord evolution, Raphael, then those situations would be taken care of swiftly. Rimuru also single handedly wiped out the entire army of Falmuth by just using water and sunlight. Honestly, it'd basically end up being "Blumund needs help? Alright. Benimaru, Shion, Hakurou, Soue, ravage the enemy. Call me if it's too much for you guys to handle." Or if Rimuru wants to handle it himself, he can fly there, wipe the enemy out, and make it back before lunch, and hopefully before Shion starts cooking.
