Writers: Alright, we have four episodes left, how do we fill them? That one writer who’s been sitting in the corner drinking while everyone else has been storyboarding: Aliens Writers: That’s perfect, great idea
The more I think about it, the only reason why I loved the last couple episodes was because I got to see progress in humanity. When I look back I actually got bored at the scenes in space.
@@Thiccness_Is_Delicious Not a problem if you have people flooding into your country in search of a better life. Cultural destabilization is really overblown, as most people don't keep practicing the majority of their culture after a few generations in a new country.
EXCEPT TRIGGER DOESN'T MAKE PACING MISTAKES LIKE THIS!!!! FOR PRIME FUCKING EXAMPLE JUST LOOK AT GURREN LAGANN!!! THEY KNOW HOW TO PACE A GODDAMN SHOW! Edit: I realize Gainax produced TTGL but people from there joined forces with other members to create Trigger Studios. So, There had to be some other forces at work here that made them rush out a hackneyed space opera at the "end" of their teen drama story.
I think you might be confused, friend. The show was only 19 episodes. It ended on that cliffhanger and we're still waiting eagerly for Season 2. There is no "rest."
@@cosmicmist2020 Yes, it was not an mix aof Evangelion and Gurren Lagann. It was a fusion of 3 Animes all along but they only take the bad from Death Note. That was the plottwist XD
And then the time-skipped completely changed her into becoming this “good girl that loves everyone” when she literally beat the shit out of the whole squad 2 episodes before
@@dk57nde23 I agree. Completely jarring mood whiplash for the viewer. It was not enjoyable at all, it made me completely lose interest in Zero Two leading up to the finale because she simply wasn't the same person anymore.

Even though the reapers are just "machine squid bad" they are at least threatening as a villain I still remember after ME1 when Shepard killed their first Reaper, it took a massive army and future knowledge from the race before to kill it and I had no idea how would they win the war against thousands
Fuck I missed when the Reapers were shown as such an impossible threat. Even ME2 had you wondering how the hell we were going to stop them. Then we get to ME3 and the color pillars within the Citadel bullshit.
It reminds me of the final episode TV movie thing of K,n,D, It seemed promising but when we got to it... well it was bad It did everything wrong! Among which included the show not just going Of the rails but jumping 25000 sharks in to space at warp 9 into a universe Were there are no rails to speak of. 🚂🚀🦈 🌌. 👎🏻😡 they even did the whole aliens thing to and they did an even worse job of it! Except this seems more enjoyable... I think it’s because of the mecha/biotitan goddess thing that 02 terned in to😍 I’m just saying
I have too agree with you there, it was random but the randomness was oddly satisfying in a sense. It was different from what I first saw at the beginning versus what came at the end
Kokoro wanted to have a baby so badly that she stopped thinking. She didn't give a second thought about how the adults won't allow them to have a baby putting themself and the child life in DANGER and Not to mention that she was just 14🤦🏻♂️
Kokoro: ooooo i want babi give me babi Also kokoro: consequences whats that still want babi doe (This was a joke but honestly she's one of my least favorite anime characters because later in series she gets really annoying)
I heard that the manga will be taking a different route but does that still mean that Hiro a d Zero two will die? Will they give this series the Akame ga Kill treatment? I remember the anime receiving so much backlash and in the end the manga had a different ending.
GuardianSoulBlade The plot didn’t have to go the exact way I wanted it to, but the ending arc was just unsatisfying and all over the place. Was a fun show to watch, but I’ll probably forget about it in a few months.
You forgot to mention that Tru Apus is her wedding dress. A moon sized dress that shoots millions of lazer beams from her gown lmao. Honestly though, when she did that final transformation I was blown away by the sheer insanity of the concept. Actually got an audible "What???" out of me.
It made me geniunley stop watching the show. It was so outlandish i literally sat there in shock for five minutes, clicked off the show and never watched it again. The epilogue looks sweet with all the characters being parents, but good god how can i still watch the show after mecha titties and that stupid ass battle?
But then they'd have to scrape together a writing/editing team at a strict deadline to rewrite the ending, and it'd end up being practically the same thing, or it'd end up with sloppy dialogue, the characters' main traits being taken to the extreme, and a really short, "Quick, fill all these plot holes" ending that would feel unsatisfying.
@@luminocuratoria1335 No I cried too, But it wasn't until I recently watched it again that I was disappointed with the last four episodes. It could have been loads better, but hey, What can we do.
FOR GOD'S SAKE....... Why isn't anyone mentioning the Darling In The Franxx Manga? It had a better ending where there was no aliens, 01 killed the whole papa councils ,sacrificing herself in the process herself and guess what? HIRO AND ZERO TWO WERE ALIVE AND SHARED A VICTORY KISS as everyone gathered outside to witness the dawn of a new free civilization.
For CHRIST sake please they should re do the entire series adapted to the Manga, or at least faithful, specially considering that this has happened before with other series
So they gave us best girl Zero Two who's sterile? Because let's be honest, a year have passed and she's the most remembered part of the show (that awful ending aside), still selling a lot of figures and getting a ton of fanarts.
@@burrito2526 Yes/no. It's not so much overpopulation, as it is trying to get the target audience (15-24 year old men) to have actual relationships with real women (or men, whatever). The digital relationship problem is probably the worst (if not in the top five) there in the whole world because of the technology, and lack of human interaction.
The reason this ending worked for Gurran was because Gurran was an insane anime. It was so weird and bizarre that by the end, the fact that a galaxy sized (and eventually universe sized) mech piloted by practically an entire government was fighting the collective conscience of an entire alien race in a similarly sized mech was completely normal. Darling in the Franxx provided insightful commentary on Studio Trigger(and its past as Gainax). It wasn't the same mood, so them recreating the ending to Gurran (on a smaller scale but still pretty big( True Aegis is about the size of Super Galaxy Gurran Lagann)) Was completely out of place and complety ruined the show's identity. If this show was the same tone as other Studio Trigger shows then they could have gotten away with it, but in the end the ending felt like a completely different show
Hell, Gunbuster managed to blend fanservice, combining Mecha, and drama, with all three culminating in the protagonist ripping her shirt off to pull the upper quantum reactor out of Gunbuster's chest and finish the job. Even the bad guys are literally completely without known motivation.
Gurran Lagan's ending goes beyond the simple explanation that the anime was insane. The whole narrative is about overcoming obstacles, with the repeating theme that each obstacle was put in place because of some higher authority. The local overseers are assholes? They were put in place by the local warlord. The local warlord is cruel? They get their legitimacy from a planet-wide government. The planet-wide government is intentionally trying to hold people down? They are only doing it under threat from a galactic scale shadow-government. And finally that galactic-scale shadow government is only running their racket out of fear of spiral energy destroying the universe. The whole series is focused on the revolutionary spirit (aka, "Ra ra fight the power"). Local problems are caused by systemic problems, but the answer is not to back down but to destroy the entire system, up to and including reworking the entire universe. In short, the escalation at the end may look crazy but it does build on the show that came before in a thematically logical way.
To me, the ending is tragic for Hiro and Zero Two because they don't get to explore or experience their love as they lived it. Their whole lives were suffering and people keeping them apart. The hope that they'd get AT LEAST 5 min of on-screen happier ever after was the only reason I stuck through the story all 24 episodes. But seeing them spend years in space together but physically apart just to die and be forced to start over just left a void for me.
You know what, I agree with this. It never felt like they together on that trip, more like a bomber pilot talking to his wife over the radio on a suicide mission. Sure they are “together” but it never felt like it.
They tried to mesh together evangelion, gurren lagann, Fox news, Hayao Miyazaki, cartoon Network, mcu, and last but not certainly least sex lots and lots of sex
I watched the anime and it basically went like this Up until ep 19 damn this is pretty good Ep 20-24 *brain has left the chat* When I was done: wait what just happened
@Siddhu Lamperouge Eh, I didn't mind the more SoL-y episodes, but the flashback episode is where the downhill began. Parts of it were interesting, but it could've been better. And then the space shit and the prayer circle happened.
Every time I examine this show, I feel like the first arc (1-15) was written as a full season and the rest of the series was made up on the spot after they found out that the series was going to be 24 episodes.
OMG, if only that had happened!! It would have given them more time to flesh out the second half and make the plot more solid and consistent, and hopefully would have avoided the shitfest that was the last 3 episodes
Sambou Jaiteh I feel like initially it was pitched as 2 seasons of about 15-18 episodes. However some management stuff likely affected it right when it started or soon before. It just sucks since the show could have been way better with 19-24 as a full season of like 12 episodes
Opinion 1: Honestly, they should’ve made 02’s personality the same after episode 15 but at the same time she learns how to be nice instead of 02 suddenly becomes a good person. Opinion 2: They should’ve made a simpler arc in the second half. Episode 19 should be split into a few episodes so to not wreck world building and left the VIRM arc for another season. Honestly I enjoyed the series but the ending destroys what the story’s message is about. Somewhere in the comments someone said about a rebellion against papa plot. I agree to that because the 9’s would’ve been proper antagonists and leaves a more likely possibility for season 2.
02 still being mischievous could of went from “this bitch is obnoxious, we can’t trust her,” to “this is her way of showing affection, and it’s kinda endearing.” I’m sure we’ve all have mischievous friends. I mean, that’s why pranks exists. But just like pranks, there has to be a line. Before 02 made everyone uncomfortable or annoyed. But after 15 she could of did things and everyone could be laughing WITH each other instead of her laughing at them. Like when she took everyone’s clothes and her and Hiro was having fun together? That could of been everyone. So that really blows…..
Darling in the franxx is like a phone charger, you find it pretty good and enjoyable, until that time when you have to untangle it in the dark, you don't know how it happened or what to even do in that moment
Zero Two kept me watching this anime. Their bond couldn’t be broken and I was so happy when they reunited again in episode 15. The aliens part ruined the anime they could’ve symbolized the Sakura tree a lot better
@Deacon Blues when I first started the show, I wanted answers to the questions I have been asking. „Will they finally go back to the old ways of humanity?, will they know the information that has been banned for years now?“ so at the end of the show I was completely satisfied (expect with the whole zerotwo and Hiro not coming back to earth. I was so infuriated about that to the point where I tried to persuade myself that it was not true) I am so damn angry that the show just makes characters so good and then just destroys all that character design in a single blow.
Lol to bad its not as popular as Darling in the franxx. All you haters hate. If you don't like it stop watching reviews on it. If it's so baddd, then why don't you watch something else.
I was extremely disappointed in this series. I can confidently say that some of episodes in this series were astounding; and I was extremely fond of Zero Two, Hiro, and their dynamic. I found _Strelizia Apus_ assuming Zero Two's form to be cringe-worthy-and extremely plot damaging-, I was also annoyed at the lack of side character development. I do hope for a season two, which shall explore reincarnated Hiro and Zero Two's lives. A second season beginning from an alternate ending may also be possible. Nonetheless, _Darling in the Franxx_ shall always bear a special place in my heart.
Selphius I actually prefer Guilty Crown to Franxx in that the music and animation is so much better. And despite the way it told it's story I loved it for what is was.
Selphius yes i felt that way to gotta admit we got guilty crowned a bit in the end instead of the dude taking the girl in him the girl takes the girl inside her instead
The final arc of this show reminds me of Deus ex project snow blind ❄️ It was rushed poorly executed and it had forced tear jerkers in it that only Brought laughter
The direction they were taking was different so I think a second season would be the same thing with the same stupid reasons but more detailed but still fucked up
Cryogen honestly it didn’t need a second season it prolly needed half a season and I would have been more satisfied that’s that god awful of an ending but I still love this anime
great animation and art style? there's nothing objectively impressive about the animation in this anime, art style is subjective but that also feels like every generic anime ever
Cuz honestly as much as this shits the bed, there are a lot of really bad anime that get heralded as good. Fuck everyone thought SAO was good until a few reviewers were like "wait guys its bad" and then public opinions changed and now SAO is "the worst anime ever"
I'd give it a five. All I'm hoping for at the last three episodes was that the series ends well, and it can't even give me that. Looks like I wasted about 8 hours of my life on this...
Srsly the ending. Everyone is just pumping out children.... also i want a second season with the more Adult ones but at the same time dont cuz 02 and hiro are dead...
Yeah "character development" lmao literally none of this "character development" did anything to the characters. They didn't change in the slightest and everything was forgotten in 3 seconds.
I see Darling in the Franxx as a friend you grew to know deeply and together you cared for each other until one random they broke the law and were sent to jail for a decade. But hey maybe one day they can redeem themselves? Second season?
Yea, I was enjoying the anime And when I saw the giant franxx I was like H O L Y S H I T But when 002's face appeared I laughed like hell because it looks so bad and the fact they the ending was incomplete because I thought they would get back getting praised like gods, instead they die turning into ghosts spinning in a circle to oblivion
I was also really sad that they didnt get to go back to earth and see all there friends and end if like that , I feel like the creators need to go back and redo this because it can be so much better
I took a break from DARLING in the FRANXX after ep 19, but then came back to finish it to watch this vid. If you had never mentioned it, I would have completely forgot about Zero Two's quirky personalty and the sexual innuendos at the start of this show. DARLING in the FRANXX feels like 24 different people directed 24 different episodes.
Her personality definitely changed after ep 15. She lost her quirkiness. They shouldn't of done that, it completely took away from her character and the show
Loved this anime enough to binge it, had to leave for a while after 17 but really wanted to get back to it, finished the series and one of my only thoughts was "what a waste of a day" Haven't been kicked this hard since Magi's manga finished with its own shit fest
Legit thought the season ended on like episode 13 when Hero and Zero 2 reunite. Didn’t actually continue watching because I thought that was it and that we were going to have to wait for a new season. Now that it’s done and everyone is talking about the ending, I’m just sitting here like: “did I dodge a bullet? Because that episode was a good way to end a season, imo”
FluteGeek You are lucky dude. Like the other two already said: Episode 15 is the last really good one. Me and others have to live with a broken heart now, because they ruined the whole outcome and plot of the show with the rushed rewriting of the script
Pretty sure “love’s good, have babies” is exactly the intended message. Also “sex is powerful.” All three of these are of pivotal importance in Japan, as I understand it.
The whole "we're going to space to fight aliens" bit ruined the suspension of disbelief. They should've stayed on Earth. At least for the rest of the season. The writers rushed things too much and really screwed themselves over. If they made a season 2, what the hell would it even be about? They literally tied *all* of their loose ends. I even felt like the side characters were more interesting than Hiro and Zero Two in the 2nd half. I didn't care about Hiro and his monster waifu fighting a hive mind, I actually cared more about seeing Ichigo and the gang rebuild society. Probably because Zero Two had no qualities anymore and Hiro becoming a klaxosaur had no repercussions. But then again I'm a sucker for some slice of life. Still a massive waste of potential. Sad that they took the same route as SAO. Side note: what the hell is with all the forced romance? Mitsuru and Kokoro found love out of thin air and Ikuno fell in love with Ichigo as if the writers were dropping hints all season. The Goro and Ichigo stuff was fine but what the hell, why not focus more attention on Futoshi getting over Kokoro since he was balling his eyes out half the time? Poor writing.
Im glad someone else mentioned sao. U can see Asuna and Zero Two are basically the same. Both had somewhat interesting characters till a certain point and then just poof
Also true that a lot of the side character romances were forced. I legit hoped for Mitsuru and Kokoro to regain something but they found love anyway cuz of......... **shrugs**
When I think back to it, kokoro had little to no connection with Mitsuru in the past. The reason why they got together was because she read a book about sex. BUT WHY NOT WITH FUTOSHI?!! I mean she had a stronger relationship with Futoshi anyways.
To be fair, they had been dropping various hints about Ikuno and Ichigo throughout eps 1-15. I really have no qualms at all with 15-19, even if it wasn't the same as the peak of the series with 14-15. What would've been ideal (or better at least) would be a rebellion arc against papa with squad 13 facing off the nines as the final boss. and nine alpha in the end either dies for papa or has a redemption arc where he turns against papa. then a season 2 where we actually go into klaxosaurs and whatnot, all the loredump of episode 19 but presented better.
I'd love to see Darling remade and have a couple seasons. I wanna see it follow them from where the original left off, I wanna see 002 and hiro grow up together, watch them go through things typical kids/teens go through. I wanna see them grow up together, get into fights and have emotional moments. I wanna see DARLING in the franxx not "rubber ball in the rubber room". Imo if someone ever decided to "make a season 2" or reboot it, they need to do it as a romance, like I said, pick up where 002 and hiro are kids and end the final season with them laying in each others arms as they pass. I wanna see 002 get the romance she deserves, not this "look, tits" bullcrap.
Idk if u have but u should read the manga adaptation. It have most of the same plot points before episode 19 except shuffles them around and basically make them better. For example kokoro isn’t a wh*re and ichigo isn’t a b*tch. Also aliens isn’t there so it’s quite a bit better
the first 15 or 16 episodes were amazing but it pulled a complete 180 out of nowhere. Darling in the Franxx you were an excellent student with a 100 in the class and then you skipped the last 2-3 weeks of class and bombed the final exam. you still passed with like a C+ or a B-, but why did you do that?
@Pipehiguita Well your opinion is different from mine, so by the laws of the internet outlined in the ancient codes of Windows 95, we are now mortal enemies... I think
So I agree with everything Jeff says here, as another youtuber put it, Darling in the Franxx shit the bed. However, considering that DitF has so much in common with Evangelion already, what if we got a End of Evangelion style movie to fix the series? Eva's last two episodes are kind of awful, as the budget ran out and the story kinda got put on hold so we could have a Freudian psychoanalysis bit with Shinji. Similiarly, Franxx also fell apart in the last few episodes. So, what if somewhere down the line we get an End of Franxx? Maybe they could fix/remove some of the worse ideas that plagued the end of the show. I'd be interested to see if maybe A1 and Trigger could try and fix the show this way. After all, the last 2 episodes of Eva may suck, but EoA did an excellent job of wrapping up the series. So please, Trigger, don't let all the good work you guys put into the first chunk of Franxx go to waste, fix this mistake with End of Franxx! Edit: Holy shit that's some response. Yeah guys, I know that this idea is a bit of a stretch and would require some potentially crazy levels of work and retconning. I get that it's not super realistic, I just feel like the first chunk of the show was good enough to be worth trying to save.
@Trevor Gruen I love your idea of a retconning film, but for an "End of Franxxgelion" movie to have the ameliorative effect you want it to have, that would require the series itself to have had interesting, 3-dimensional, well-developed characters to begin with. That's what made EoE have the impactful effect it did. (Looks around) Nope; don't see any interesting characters (except maaaybe Ichigo); don't see anyone on the level of Shinji or Misato (best girl) or Asuka.....sigh.....All i ask is that anime remember what good character writing looks like; is that so much to ask? IS IT???? Then you have people complain that I'm expect too much and I'm like: "No, people expect too little." Asking for good characterization or effective character writing in context with what your series is trying to achieve is not asking for a lot. That's asking for the basics.
They lost direction. You know what would have been more fitting for this show? If after APE left the planet, the remainder of it was about the kids figuring out how to adapt to life. That was supposed to be the theme of the show - kids becoming adults, learning to fly on their own or with a partner to lean on. Everything past that was just unsalvageable. The children learning to deal with being abandoned and forced to learn everything they were kept from learning would have been, in my opinion, the best possible ending.
It’ll be interesting if Papa decides to abandon them willlingly just to have them develop that way and no longer depend on him because he is slowly convince it’s a better direction for humanity to take.
Good point. The mechas were the window dressing to frame the drama, yet any attempt at producing dramatic writing failed laughably once the show started careening downhill embracing the shell rather than the core of its being.
Honestly, they should have kept the scope at a micro level instead of turning it into a space battle for the defense of a planet that was basically going to die anyways. Perhaps focus on the planet dying instead of throwing in new elements for viewers to forget. Papa was supposed to be this totalitarian leader that decided everything for everyone not allowing them to think for themselves and having individual perspective of how the world should work. My interpretation up to that point was that these kids, being the odd group, would eventually figure out that perhaps following the governments every order doesn't really help as they are stripped of their freedom, which would lead to a clash of philosophies. That's what I thought at least when the girls learn about how to make a baby, etc. Just a game of who's right and who's wrong, while having the sub plots of drama within the group with Goro being in love with Ichigo, while she still has lingering feelings for Hiro. BUT NOPE. They didn't take advantage of that for some odd reason.
If they did an FMA style remake where they just... didn’t do season two, and wrote something actually good, they might have a decent shot at a successful anime.
I was thinking the same thing. Or like the evangelion movies. But this show came out, what, 2 years ago? If it ever even happens, I dont think we'll be seeing a remake for a long long time
I think when you make a story, you have to really figure out the "surface identity" (what it appears to be about) and the "secret identity" (what it actually is about). The secret identity doesn't actually have to be a late plot twist, it can happen in the first episode (as was done in an anime this season) or just be themes that the audience might not expect at first. Darling's surface identity is fanservice mecha action, while its secret identity is the drama and romance behind it. It was reaching a point where that secret identity had been built up to become the focal point of the plot. But instead, they refused to let go of the surface identity, and so the most engaging aspect of the series had to play second fiddle during the climax. In my opinion, Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill manage their identities a lot better. In both cases, their secret identities stay in second place. In that spot, they can become a favorite aspect of the series to someone, but (in theory) not to the extent where it's the only reason someone is watching.
The weird part is that Papa and 001 were suppose to have this romance (which is why it’s so damn easy to connect the two with the couple in the picture book 02 was given). However, some dumbass thought it’ll be better to abandon that and make the Virm shit purely action based and completely ignore Papa’s fucking character when even the 4koma is showcasing what he is actually like.
It wasn't even that it looked stupid. I thought it was a really cool idea. It's just not worth pointing out or talking about it, because it didn't amount to anything.
I've been wondering if anyone would mention that and I've watched several reviews now. For me, It's quite hilarious and symbolic at the same time while working in a little Magical Girl aesthetic in the show. They really needed another 26 episodes.
Personally, having finally watched the show, I was never able to take it seriously from the start. Hell, the original reason I skipped it was because of the doggy-style piloting of the mechs. That combined with the design of the main mechs really took away from the action-drama the show was trying to be. So I wasn’t as thrown off or upset by the ending as you were. Not to say that it wasn’t still a disappointing answer to my question of “how are these kids going to separate themselves from “Papa” and the adults to live as true humans?” It also would have been nice if at least one of the kids or pairs (Mitsuru and Kokoro would have been a good choice) had challenged the lifestyle and ideals of the VIRM and confronted them about how they’d stripped away all humanity from humans and only brought those elements back to use as weapons. But also I keep coming back to the doggy-style piloting and with how ridiculous and silly that is, I can’t be too upset about the ending.
i mean, even without that episode 1 moment, gurren lagann is an exercise in explosive escalation, i wouldn't have been shocked if it ended in space regardless of that moment appearing.
Guren lagan is a exercise in embracing of the superobo genera (like wath mha do with shounen) so when in the fianl battle the flingng galxys li shirikens of course it maked sence it wass a super robo anime.
It's like they thought: "Hey, Gurren Lagann did that space thing." "Kill la Kill also did the space thing." *"How about we do the space thing with Darling in the FranXX?"* Edit: DitF had so much potential. Soooooo much potential. But they broke everything, piece by piece. And then they made a space thing that just didn't work.
They had 001 and Papa and their backst- the picture book. However, they downplayed all three things and turn the characters into plot devices so the main cast can get the happy ending this anime doesn’t deserve.
Captain Chair Screw off, I didn't mean *masterpiece* potential, but that the story could work well and could be a great story. But they failed. And this happened.
JazitJ i feel like they shouldn't have gone completely back to it i like her character the way it was thry could've just made her a little less mean but i liked her mischeviousness
FareShott yeh hiro grows horns and 02 becomes human but she still has horns. Also i fucking laughed at the end when 02 became the franxx it looked so dumb
it was more like she was rebelling against the system as she thought they ripped her reason to live away from her and when she found the one she been looking for she had no reason to fight anymore nor rebel she was truely happy. its like a father looking for his child and having to hunt down his kidnappers and once he won does he still fight after that no. he reverts to what he would truely be.
Yeah, but even used tropes can make a good series, take My Hero Academia for example, it brings nothing new to the table, but the characters are compelling and the world feels alive. Franxx attempts to touch on identity and sexuality but it fails completely because the characters feel flat and unoriginal compared to something like EVA which is one of the animes it attempts to copy :d
Mochi Imho MHA is refreshing because it does away with the general shounen logic that trying hard is all that matters. Not to my taste, but hey, thats somehing new. More importantly it has consistent execution. And as you said DaiF tries to adress sexuality and teen romance by placing mecha as a metaphor for, uh, sex? Maybe? The fresh idea is there, but the script is poorly executed so we cannot even be sure of what the idea was in the first place. I guess its more about execution. Fail, and suddenly everyone can see the stuff you took from.
Subspace Sausage about MHA, yeah, I'm more into seinen nowadays but you gotta give credit where it's due. And I completely agree with you and ParaChomp about execution, in the end I think everyone copies something, the only thing that matters is how you can integrate your own toughts into these ideas so they still stand out as something unique.
Anytime someone insults the Rebuild series by calling it dumb and shallow, I'm gonna show them this series from now on. Seriously, I had such high hopes for this series in the first episodes. But then the show turned out to be an representation of everything I hate in modern anime nowadays(in my opinion).
The best way to consider the last few episodes is that, once the arc of the main characters was over,it became a contest to see how many gainax references they could drop in,plot be damned
you know this felt like it should have been a 100 episode show. to much was rushed and pourly spaced out. not enought back story on some parts and yea if they had more then they could have done better villians and such. now i do like zero-two. yes they kinda messed her up at the end but its a small problem for me and i can look past it. the biggest problem for me was the pacing.
Me watching this show: Oh, so the graphics are good, I really like the characters, combat is kinda meh and the plot is messy. But I still like it. Ep.20 hits: WAIT WTF THIS STOPPED MAKING ANY SENSE WHO THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA Ep.24:*cries in the corner*
Rikuo86 nah SAO is good if you appreciate it for what it is, the romance is better I think and it improves on it self and is original. Also much better world building

They need a Darling in the Franxx recap film series that retcons the ending or something. Honestly, my biggest disappointment is how much they wasted the Klaxxosaur Princess. Enigmatic, lots of potential, but nope - here she is, oh, she is not really the enemy, here is the enemy and oops, they killed her.
I felt like the real point where the series broke was at the Gran Crevasse when the parasites were suddenly able to take out countless Klaxosaurs when they needed teamwork before this point to take them out the medium sized ones and primarily relied on 002 to save the day in the previous episodes. They all received a massive power spike. Despite the rushed finale I did enjoy an anime that can give some conclusion for once and solidify relationships and develop them in the later parts instead of leaving it open ended.
Squad 13 was always an experimental and highly individualized/unreliable squad. When they met other parasite units was the first they realized how unusual they are because everyone else had standardized weapons and tactics. So basically, Squad 13 was Dr. Franxx pet project and APE let him have it because they were expecting great results from 02 and that was worth the cost.
It's kinda funny how the anime is like an exam, the first parts of the exam are pretty nice but you realized that you only have 10 minutes left to answer the remaining questions, so it's time to throw random bullshit like aliens invading Earth, making a giant zero two and killing off hiro and zero two.
I dropped this after the first episode because I kinda saw the stupidity coming. I was hyped for it cause KLK's one of my favorite shows of all time and I love most everything Trigger's done, but the first episode was just bad to me. From the start it felt like it had a conflict of themes. It wanted to be in-your-face, slightly ecchi, maybe a little bit of campiness for comedic purposes or homages, but it also wanted to be played totally straight and serious, even dark. One of my key complaints was on how it'd use fanservice as a punchline instead of as a vehicle for a punchline, which to me just feels awkward or forced / boring (IMO it'd work better if the fanservice was more passive if they're gonna play it straight). Overall it just felt dumb but not fun or crazy, and I could see the writing on the wall that it was gonna get worse. And going by your analysis it seems that was a safe bet.
Can’t agree more KLK is my all time favorite anime and I expected a lot from this but it really never drew me in. Personally I’m not a huge fan of mechs but Gurren Lagann somehow drew me in, which is why I highly respect Trigger and love their work, from the start of the show I immediately knew that it wasn’t going to be as good as either of those shows, and I wish I wasn’t so right.
I dropped it after watching the first episode too because I found it did a terrible job presenting its universe. I took that as a hint for bad storytelling and didn't bother watch episode too. Also all of the sexual innuendos felt so forced, I just didn't enjoy the first episode and ditched the anime completly.
I think Mitsuru was originally intended to be in love with Hiro, becoming his Pistil in the final battle and adding a ton of weight to his subsequent death, but they backed off from that for whatever reason. Maybe cause this show refuses to let their character reach their actual potential though
But you can only pilot a FRANXX with a male and female pair. Only the 9s were exempted from this rule because they had klaxosaur blood; since they were clones of Zero two. Which explains why the other thousands of people in the inner city, could only watch and rely on the kids to protect them, since they chose to be immortal, causing them to lose reproductive functions. Therefore, Mitsuru couldn't pilot with Hiro. However, since Hiro basically became a Klaxo-sapien during the final arc, he could have had the ability to pilot with Mitsuru, which would have fulfilled their promise.
I'd go farther back to the last eight. I don't like how Zero Two is suddenly just super nice and no longer rebellious in episode 16, like she's just being accepted back into the group with no development or emotional scene.
I may not have read the manga but I did find a fanfiction on fanfiction. Net where their brought back (klaxosapien technology) by Dr franxx's son to continue the fight with the virm
literally all that needed to happen was for the apus while it was still mechanical, push the bomb through the warp gate, then hiro and zero two come home, and show us the rebuilding. wouldve been a fucking amazing show, especially if hiro had become almost entirely klaxosaur
Sad but true. I do hear that Trigger left midway during the production and it was only A-1 after that. I don't know if it actually affected the direction and development of the story since the writer remained the same or if it coincides with the quality drop but I find it hard to believe that it would just be coincidence.
The writter/director for the show did no work for Trigger but directed a couple of seasons of Idolm@ster, which is a A-1 pictures show ( in the past he was an animator for Gainax) and the other writter did some Doga Kobo shows which I also haven't watched. What I wanted to say is that the main creative force for this didn't had the experience to handle such an ambitious project so I think it doesn't really matter. I think Trigger mostly did the visuals, which were ok, but unmemorable, imo.
The anime highlights certain issues that are quite applicable to the world today, such as 1)Are advancements in science and technology reducing the need for physical intimacy? This is seen in the anime with the old grandmother's husband only needing happy pills to feel great rather than spending time with his wife. There is also no need for children and therefore sex due to people becoming immortal. Similarly in the real world, entertainment technology like video games has caused people to isolate themselves from others. 2)Do peoples' desire to have children reflect their desire to be immortal? The anime showed how most people chose to sacrifice their reproductive functions for immortality. Children are described in this show as a way to influence the world after one's death. Therefore, with immortality, people feel they no longer need to have children since they will always be alive and able to influence the world. Similarly in the real world, life expectancy is increasing while birth rate is dropping. 3)Does lifespan determine how meaningful one's life is? This is seen in how Hiro is constantly willing to risk his life to pilot the franxx with zero 2, and him willing to venture into VRM's home planet together with her. He feels that time spent with her is more meaningful than having a long life. I found the ending beautiful as zero 2 got her wish to be human both physically and mentally by being reincarnated into one. Hiro and zero 2 can finally keep each other company for a lifetime.
The ending left me sad, hurt, and unsatisfied. He said „I love you for who you are I does not matter if you are human or not“ so why does it matter if she turned human? I thought Hiro would never break a promise again, but he never returned. Sure he got reincarnated, but by the time Hiro and Zerotwo are old enough, the gang would be dead. To see Hiro and Zerotwo‘s connection with their friends just be shattered. Made me angry, THE WHOLE SHOW MAKES ME ANGRY every time they make a relationship the destroy it or part of it.
Everything was great upto episode 15. Maybe some till episode 19. But honestly, everything just went off. Should have ended with ep 15 with: *DARLING* *ZERO TWO*

It wasn't the same mood, so them recreating the ending to Gurran
(on a smaller scale but still pretty big( True Aegis is about the size of Super Galaxy Gurran Lagann))
Was completely out of place and complety ruined the show's identity.
If this show was the same tone as other Studio Trigger shows then they could have gotten away with it, but in the end the ending felt like a completely different show
Wow that’s almost exactly like my problem with Kids next door’s ending 😯
Hell, Gunbuster managed to blend fanservice, combining Mecha, and drama, with all three culminating in the protagonist ripping her shirt off to pull the upper quantum reactor out of Gunbuster's chest and finish the job.
Even the bad guys are literally completely without known motivation.
You know this show is a mess when An overlook anime most modern fans don't know has a better handle of different elements and a better ending.
Actually True Aegis is about the same size as super galaxy Gurren Lagann

Sambou Jaiteh I feel like initially it was pitched as 2 seasons of about 15-18 episodes. However some management stuff likely affected it right when it started or soon before. It just sucks since the show could have been way better with 19-24 as a full season of like 12 episodes
Sambou Jaiteh that's exactly what it felt like
Opinion 1: Honestly, they should’ve made 02’s personality the same after episode 15 but at the same time she learns how to be nice instead of 02 suddenly becomes a good person.

Darling in the franxx needs to have a Redo, fixing the last few episodes.
fixing the last 10 xd
chikifco nah just the last 5
Fixing every episode. The whole story is a mess.
you can (not) have a redo
They should fix the fight scenes. Those were boring
I don't know about you but I can't wait for season 2
Of Legends of the galactic heroes
Too bad it's not happening as far as I know, we're getting ovas in a year or so but not a full second season
Carlo Bissolotti what?
No second season?
Noooooooo!
Lol to bad its not as popular as Darling in the franxx. All you haters hate. If you don't like it stop watching reviews on it. If it's so baddd, then why don't you watch something else.
ImmaLittlePip and you don't know about me
But I bet you want to
If there's going to be a season 2.
Or a movie at least.
Ep 1-19, greatest anime ever
Ep 20-22, okay, this better settle down soon
Ep 23-24, COME AGAIN??!?!?!?!?!?
Phısıca What rating would you give it overall? I'd give it a 7.5/10, it is just good not great or a masterpiece imo.
@@sheriffaboubakar9720 8.5/10 for the overall show,
FreshBeats it’s my latest guilty pleasure “7/10 anime” from 2018. (Just finished watching it today tho)
I only give it a 10/10
Because
Child ZeroTwo is cute AF
I wish they'd just rewrite the ending in utter defeat.
There was just lots of shit going on that didn't really go anywhere in the end. Kinda feels like Guilty Crown tbh.
Least Guilty Crown is a solid 4/10 compare to Franxx low 2/10 to a strong 1/10
guilty crown is one of my favorite series, but i cannot disagree with you
Yeah guys guilty crown was a unique show wasnt cliched at all but it was horrible due to shuu suffering hella bad after inoris death
They rushed it, it would have been nice if they did a second season
The final arc of this show reminds me of Deus ex project snow blind ❄️
It was rushed poorly executed and it had forced tear jerkers in it that only
Brought laughter
The direction they were taking was different so I think a second season would be the same thing with the same stupid reasons but more detailed but still fucked up
@@wendy2 I think they rushed season 1 to get to season 2 or to get to the movie i wouldn't gives my hopes up for season 2
@@ravianperez6512 darling in the franxx is dead to me :v
Cryogen honestly it didn’t need a second season it prolly needed half a season and I would have been more satisfied that’s that god awful of an ending but I still love this anime
Be honest everyone was laughing when zero-two wipes honey on zoromes favorite shirt
Nope, that was just wrong
*No just no*
MY SUNDAY BEST!!!
Just a little “hmph”, show didn’t make a laugh.
the great animation and art style is the only thing that i find alluring in this show
The soundtrack too imo
Even then they genric to subpar at best.
great animation and art style? there's nothing objectively impressive about the animation in this anime, art style is subjective but that also feels like every generic anime ever
So, like SAO
bocodamondo soundtrack and Zero Two And Hiros romance were alluring to until the weird ass ending
Meh, 7/10. I figured the kids were going to rebel at the end. I got space battles instead.
that's a really generous score
Cuz honestly as much as this shits the bed, there are a lot of really bad anime that get heralded as good. Fuck everyone thought SAO was good until a few reviewers were like "wait guys its bad" and then public opinions changed and now SAO is "the worst anime ever"
Yep, too high. Worsr than sao;)
Kiel Weiss 7/10 is pretty high. I'd go more in a 4.5-5. I was on the "this might be cool and new" train until ~ep 9, then I stopped giving a crap
I'd give it a five. All I'm hoping for at the last three episodes was that the series ends well, and it can't even give me that. Looks like I wasted about 8 hours of my life on this...
What happened?
*People got pregnant,People got their character development shafted and the ending triggered me.*
TheBmans bunker Ah... Triggered. I see what you did there.
TheBmans bunker super pregnant very pregnant.
Srsly the ending. Everyone is just pumping out children.... also i want a second season with the more Adult ones but at the same time dont cuz 02 and hiro are dead...
The pregnancy had no use in the plot
Yeah "character development" lmao literally none of this "character development" did anything to the characters. They didn't change in the slightest and everything was forgotten in 3 seconds.
I see Darling in the Franxx as a friend you grew to know deeply and together you cared for each other until one random they broke the law and were sent to jail for a decade. But hey maybe one day they can redeem themselves? Second season?
Yea, I was enjoying the anime
And when I saw the giant franxx I was like H O L Y S H I T
But when 002's face appeared I laughed like hell because it looks so bad and the fact they the ending was incomplete because I thought they would get back getting praised like gods, instead they die turning into ghosts spinning in a circle to oblivion
I thought that ending was very satisfying
Team Hiro Two blasting off again?
I was also really sad that they didnt get to go back to earth and see all there friends and end if like that , I feel like the creators need to go back and redo this because it can be so much better
The ending was a eureka seven rip off
crazy sifter99 i hope the manga does just that.
'I'll show you what comes after kissing' god i wish that were me
OMH Plays I'll get you two a room
Me 3
it’s usually panic, screaming, and a restraining order
But she didn't show him what comes after kissing
She calls him fodder like 10 seconds later tho, so...
I did the same, and I have to say this show was a big disappointment lol. I hope they reboot it or create an alternate ending.
Maybe that was the case. Each person getting more the reigns over one episode and switching roles.
Her personality definitely changed after ep 15. She lost her quirkiness. They shouldn't of done that, it completely took away from her character and the show
"feels like 24 different people directed 24 different episodes."Doesn't that basically happen in quite a lot of anime
Loved this anime enough to binge it, had to leave for a while after 17 but really wanted to get back to it, finished the series and one of my only thoughts was "what a waste of a day" Haven't been kicked this hard since Magi's manga finished with its own shit fest
I'm just impressed with how hard they managed to fuck it up, i genuinely liked it until that weird twist
FluteGeek
You basically did, episode 14 and 15 were the last good episodes.
FluteGeek
You are lucky dude. Like the other
two already said: Episode 15 is the last really good one.
Bryan Crowe they would redo the ending
I AGREE 1000000% WITH THIS!!! HEY GOD, ITS ME AGAIN 😭
Idk if u have but u should read the manga adaptation. It have most of the same plot points before episode 19 except shuffles them around and basically make them better. For example kokoro isn’t a wh*re and ichigo isn’t a b*tch. Also aliens isn’t there so it’s quite a bit better
@@lqtor5950 How is Kokoro a whore? You’re weird.
just, read mastermind in the franxx. it has the same characters, the same like, setting, and it explores the same themes, but in a much better way
the first 15 or 16 episodes were amazing but it pulled a complete 180 out of nowhere.
Darling in the Franxx you were an excellent student with a 100 in the class and then you skipped the last 2-3 weeks of class and bombed the final exam. you still passed with like a C+ or a B-, but why did you do that?
Nice analogy, imo the first 1-15 ep are good enough to forgive all the shit that went down in the later half, for my is a 7.9
It was bad form episode 1
@Pipehiguita
Well your opinion is different from mine, so by the laws of the internet outlined in the ancient codes of Windows 95, we are now mortal enemies... I think
You'reThatMantis lmao
agreed. I thought anime was finished 15-16. LOL, I was so surprised there was more episode n not like 3-month hiatus.
I'd watch an Ending in the Franxx movie.
Trevor Gruen Yeah, that would be good. And it’s another thing for DitF to copy from Evangelion as well.
Oh I so hope that happens
Except this didn't have the same problems as eva, and EoE doesn't retcon the ending, it expands on it. I rather just let this die.
CaptinSpice Also known as, 001, Papa, and the Vicehead should’ve been actual characters.
BUT NOPE. They didn't take advantage of that for some odd reason.
lordlinkthegreat They didn't have to, because conveniently, weird sudden aliens happened.
Anime where the secret identity is told ep 2 and it still works : plastic memories
well say it
DARLING IS LITERALLY IN THE FRANKXX
OOOH YES
metaton neo theme intensifies 🎼🎶🎵
YEAH AND A CLONE OF A ALIEN IS IN THERE TOO HOW MIND BLOWING :OOOOO
I’m pretty sure that means that she is the Franxx!
At least that’s what war hammer 40k would have me believe,
That’s the title of the show brother
We're not going to point out that Apus' True Form is just 02 wearing a wedding gown? Heaven forbid people somehow didn't catch how blatant it was.
Zweihander Steve and how the bomb is a metaphor for bukke
It wasn't even that it looked stupid. I thought it was a really cool idea. It's just not worth pointing out or talking about it, because it didn't amount to anything.
Pe pi interesting how it goes the opposite for me lol. It looks fucking ridiculously for me but it did served some interesting symbolism
I've been wondering if anyone would mention that and I've watched several reviews now. For me, It's quite hilarious and symbolic at the same time while working in a little Magical Girl aesthetic in the show.
They really needed another 26 episodes.
T3HR3PP4 this show has way more praise than I thought
Personally, having finally watched the show, I was never able to take it seriously from the start. Hell, the original reason I skipped it was because of the doggy-style piloting of the mechs. That combined with the design of the main mechs really took away from the action-drama the show was trying to be.
So I wasn’t as thrown off or upset by the ending as you were.
Not to say that it wasn’t still a disappointing answer to my question of “how are these kids going to separate themselves from “Papa” and the adults to live as true humans?”
It also would have been nice if at least one of the kids or pairs (Mitsuru and Kokoro would have been a good choice) had challenged the lifestyle and ideals of the VIRM and confronted them about how they’d stripped away all humanity from humans and only brought those elements back to use as weapons.
But also I keep coming back to the doggy-style piloting and with how ridiculous and silly that is, I can’t be too upset about the ending.
Gurren Lagann literally starts in space so its a near given than it would appear again, this was just a shock not an expectation
i mean, even without that episode 1 moment, gurren lagann is an exercise in explosive escalation, i wouldn't have been shocked if it ended in space regardless of that moment appearing.
Guren lagan is a exercise in embracing of the superobo genera (like wath mha do with shounen) so when in the fianl battle the flingng galxys li shirikens of course it maked sence it wass a super robo anime.
It's like they thought:
"Hey, Gurren Lagann did that space thing."
"Kill la Kill also did the space thing."
*"How about we do the space thing with Darling in the FranXX?"*
Edit: DitF had so much potential.
Soooooo much potential.
But they broke everything, piece by piece.
And then they made a space thing that just didn't work.
They had 001 and Papa and their backst- the picture book. However, they downplayed all three things and turn the characters into plot devices so the main cast can get the happy ending this anime doesn’t deserve.
night mare The whole cast could have died and I would have still liked it.
Well, maybe that's a stretch....
Theirrelevant Hiro and 02 need to live and some squad members like Zorome need to discover their own weird unexplained mystery.
TheIrrelevant It had no potential, you just don't know the genre.
Captain Chair Screw off, I didn't mean *masterpiece* potential, but that the story could work well and could be a great story.
But they failed.
And this happened.
I thought of Zero Two's sudden personality shift as her reverting back to the little girl she was when she and Hiro first met
I think it was more about hiro getting horns and 02 turning 100% human.
TechnoIdiot if you look at the franxx just right it looks like a wedding dress so in a way she got to marry her prince.
it was more like she was rebelling against the system as she thought they ripped her reason to live away from her and when she found the one she been looking for she had no reason to fight anymore nor rebel she was truely happy. its like a father looking for his child and having to hunt down his kidnappers and once he won does he still fight after that no. he reverts to what he would truely be.

You know, there's the saying, "be inspired, but don't copy".
Seriously, this whole series feels like a bootleg evangelion.
Mochi eh, I would say nah. Mecha genre today now kinda like Shonen. There are only some many fresh action mecha tropes at their disposal.
Subspace Sausage
about MHA, yeah, I'm more into seinen nowadays but you gotta give credit where it's due.
I found it to be enjoyable. Despite the wtf moments of the final few episodes
The best way to consider the last few episodes is that, once the arc of the main characters was over,it became a contest to see how many gainax references they could drop in,plot be damned
I loved when darling said, "let me be FRANXX with you" the best moment in all of cinema.
you know this felt like it should have been a 100 episode show. to much was rushed and pourly spaced out. not enought back story on some parts and yea if they had more then they could have done better villians and such. now i do like zero-two. yes they kinda messed her up at the end but its a small problem for me and i can look past it. the biggest problem for me was the pacing.
100 episode is generous. 2-3 seasons at best.
Yeah. It was a bit rushed at the end. The creaters where like: "Now everybody's happy. The end" I wanted moreeee
zerodawn09 no the studio would go bankrupt.
I agree with that, would have loved to see more
zerodawn09 it’s Tokyo ghoul all over again
Me watching this show: Oh, so the graphics are good, I really like the characters, combat is kinda meh and the plot is messy. But I still like it.
Ep.20 hits: WAIT WTF THIS STOPPED MAKING ANY SENSE WHO THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA
Ep.24:*cries in the corner*
So the first half of the series is great if a bit wonky and the second half is a total trainwreck?
So it's just SAO huh?
Rikuo86 SAO was trash from the start
no, SAO didn't even make it halfway.
only the first 3 episode of sao were good
Rikuo86 nah SAO is good if you appreciate it for what it is, the romance is better I think and it improves on it self and is original. Also much better world building
Both were trash from the beginning
i was kinda lucky with this one
i bingewatched the whole thing after it finished
my brain didnt have enough time to process how nani the fck was the third act, i was just enjoying the explotions and the romantic stuff
by the time i finished watching the last episode i was like "aww that was cute" then next day when i was remembering the whole thing i began to realize some stuff and think "wait what the heck was that?"
_They didn't stick to what made the show great in the first place, that's what happen._
the kid 002? i would watch like 10 episodes of that small story expanded
I hate most shows that do that, even if many liked Samurai flamenco and how it turned into a parody anime in the second half I liked the drama centered of the first.
To be fair, Japan probably needs the message of "Have babies."
The message of DitF isn't "have babies". If anything its "you don't need children to have a meaningful relationship."
Someone said the most similar thing ever he said that this show was like a wake up call or propaganda to have children for japans declining birth rate😂😂like holy fuck i didn't think of that
Instead of making propaganda through anime, maybe they should fix the problem from the core?
Not really, no.
NykowPalalum you make a point there. No one's gonna listen to a show if it doesn't exactly make its message clear enough to atleast hint and if it isnt even their message for making a show. You gotta tackle it head on not this brainwash garbage👌
It makes me angry to see how badly this anime tries to be Neon Genesis Evangelion by ripping of about everything NGE has ever done but leaving out all the good points somehow!
it ripped off way more than just eva.
At least Hiro didn’t pleasure himself over a comatose Zero Two, though.
It rips only 1 element of Eva. And it's stupid to compare a physiological/mystery to romance/melodrama
@@Apostle_47 There's a video comparing Evangelion and Darling in the franxx, watch it
@@yocarter9221 there is no proper video comparing the both shows sir. If just taking 2 scenes from 2 animes having similar tags and putting them aside makes you think a show tried to copy the other, its you who is the fool here. Try to understand the themes. It makes me feel like you didnt even understand eva, comparing these shows on such a superficial lvl
Darling, I don’t feel so good
HellNightFlare *raises two fingers and disappears
Anime not delivering on its promise? What an unexpected outcome!
You sound sarcastic. It's as if you have experienced such failures before and are not surprised.
It's kinda funny how the anime is like an exam, the first parts of the exam are pretty nice but you realized that you only have 10 minutes left to answer the remaining questions, so it's time to throw random bullshit like aliens invading Earth, making a giant zero two and killing off hiro and zero two.
i thought they would just take down ape and papa but the alien shit was a bit much. lol thanks trigger. still liked it
I dropped this after the first episode because I kinda saw the stupidity coming.
How you going to say "I dropped after the first episode" and then give an opinion?
I thought it was okay... Pulled through... Kinda. Show felt wrong on ALL LEVELS
Brandon Hanson Because they’re just talking about their own experience of the show and their thoughts about it based on said one episode.
I think Mitsuru was originally intended to be in love with Hiro, becoming his Pistil in the final battle and adding a ton of weight to his subsequent death, but they backed off from that for whatever reason. Maybe cause this show refuses to let their character reach their actual potential though
I agree with this little cat
@@Azuware IM ON IT
Bruh this ship sounds weird
So basically, Shinji x Kaworu 2.0?
But you can only pilot a FRANXX with a male and female pair. Only the 9s were exempted from this rule because they had klaxosaur blood; since they were clones of Zero two. Which explains why the other thousands of people in the inner city, could only watch and rely on the kids to protect them, since they chose to be immortal, causing them to lose reproductive functions. Therefore, Mitsuru couldn't pilot with Hiro. However, since Hiro basically became a Klaxo-sapien during the final arc, he could have had the ability to pilot with Mitsuru, which would have fulfilled their promise.
Trigger and A-1: Hey, can I copy your homework?
Anno: *Looks at Eva* sure, but don't make an exact replica
The homework turned in:
D4C reference noted Funny Valentine did nothing wrong
Funny Valentine for President
All hail funny valentine.
i liked the vid imediately after he pulled that reference. I'm a simple man, i see/hear jojo and i like.
what time?
Anime got infinite rotationed.
Darling in the Franxx was what happens when you take three animes and smash them together until they become something barely cohesive.
🎼“Findaloo Findaloo Findaloo Findaloo NA NA”🎶

Kill la kill, darling and gurren lagann are all a copy of getter robo.
It’s also a lot like Zardoz!
add a little of Saikano: My girlfriend is a gigant weapon
I think we just need a fan rewrite of the last few episodes, maybe the last 6 would do. Can any manga readers tell me if that ends any better?
They live happily ever after in the manga
@@nukekahapola7220 seriously?
@@Eren-jb7sq yup
I agree thats the ending we all wanted
VIRM is just Brainiac, but without actually being a character.
It’s slaanesh meets the borg and the Tau but not as interesting
The anime highlights certain issues that are quite applicable to the world today, such as
1)Are advancements in science and technology reducing the need for physical intimacy?
Just the name “verm” is funny to me Personally.
trigger be like:
hmmm eva got already Nerv so if we use the word m instead of n then the result would be merv and if you reverse that we get
verm
Reminds me of the verminator from Over the Hedge
I'm sad that Darling in the Franxx got canceled halfway through.
True. Why did they end it on Episode 15 though? What an odd number of episodes.
I was looking forward to seeing Trigger take things to space once again. I guess not this time :(
Well they managed to condense seasons 2,3 and 4 into the last 3 episodes. So there's that.
Someone saw the success of the manga and decided to scrap the show just to make more money.
I wish it would have just stopped halfway. At least then it would have been an open-ended story that left on a happier note.

You should do "How to Fix Darling in the FranXX".
Do it, you wimp!
This
It's pretty easy too. Just don't go to space
Please do that!
I further bump this idea
I would have excised Virm from the show entirely and instead have them fight against Papa and the rest of APE
Everything was great upto episode 15. Maybe some till episode 19. But honestly, everything just went off. Should have ended with ep 15 with:
*DARLING*
*ZERO TWO*
