This was truly a bumpy ride. Luckily, I live a half hour ride from the Rijksmuseum myself. I should visit more, but as always, busy, busy, busy. The museum is huge and absolutely stunning. Me, I don't like modern art much, so this is the museum for me.
I'm so glad you let us watch you figure out how to navigate through the galleries and how to use the Google tools. Often you see the host effortlessly use the virtual tools, then when you try everything is clumsy and frustrating. Your perseverance is encouraging :). I also enjoyed listening to your reactions to art that was new to you. I look forward to the next virtual museum visit with you.
I think it's fair to say Google haven't quite managed to recreate a true museum going experience just yet unfortunately. I've been to Amsterdam before, but unfortunately the person I was with had no interest in going to the Rijksmuseum so I've never been. I definitely plan on rectifying that next time I'm there!

On the other hand, it might have been nice if you had learned to navigate on your time and then been actually able to have us join you on a tour.
