I love that we call metrics "vanity metrics." They're METRICS! The reason why they're vanity metrics is because they don't provide as much value as big tech promises from them.
A challenge can be - purchase decisions mainly align with a person's needs (gas for the car, food, insurance, reading material, software). Purchase decisions MAY align with an 'influencer'. But if you look at the purchases you make and ask 'how many things am I still buying to align with a specific influencer whose stuff I bought before?' the number is low. REASON: people buy what they need (or want) . Over time, it's got nothing to do with "let me keep buying stuff the influencer goes on about." .
That’s so truth!! So many people on TH-cam teaching how to grow a following or audience and how to increase retention and they have 800 followers, you are like okay first grow your followers then teach me
I’m interested to find out how South Africans can grow and really get their content out at scale without paid advertising, the algorithm is really a challenge in SA
Imposter syndrome is related to childhood trauma and has nothing to do with a person being dishonest. I’m starting to realise that most of what keeps many people from prosperity has much less to do with not knowing what people like Alex ‘know’, and more to do with the psychic obstacles experienced by people with various psychological conditions or differently formed brains even, which is a large proportion of the population.

Perhaps he should think about hiring an Italian stylist to elevate both his wardrobe and hair styling. This isn't meant to be offensive, just my personal opinion.
