I just love Chris Do so much. Not only am I learning much about the techniques of brand and marketing and business from him. He affirms that I’m not crazy. I’m late to Asimov or the world building as a concept, but these are the stories I gravitate to the most. For a kid from a working class black family, turned ‘ poor black single mother’ I’m not supposed to be interested in any of this. And yet here I am. Sean you are great as well!
Kendra, As a ‘poor black single mother’ you said you’re not supposed to be interested in any of this. We are designed to be unique. Like each snowflake that will never be replicated, you were born with your own special fingerprints & your own beautiful soul. Stand in your truth. Own who you are. Go be the best version of yourself possible. God made you this way for a reason. There is a purpose to your life that will be revealed as time passes. I grew up in an abusive home where my Dad expected us to amount to nothing. I reject that negative voice in my head in the name of Jesus. Now I know the only one who defines me is Christ!! 👍 💕
It’s 1:05am PST 3/12/24, and you just ministered to me, I am in tears as you speak into my life as I sit on the couch, watching you in the past. . .it doesn’t make sense but that is the power of God, no boundaries no limits and the word of God is always for today. . .God bless you Pastor Mike 🕊️🙏🏼🔥
The question on how to compete and how to find worth in pursuing it anyways despite the market being saturated was so good. I’ve been asking myself this same question within my niche, how do I compete with x y and z? They are so good at what they do, why would anyone watch me over them. Chris’s answer was so simple yet so strong. “Just do it your way.” It’s like the lesson he had with his coach, he just needed that permission. Less stress and anxiety over competition and instead now it’s how can I make this mine and how can I make the topic represent me and my style. I love this.
This is probably one of the best interviews on Think Media Podcast. I loved his authenticity when answering question and he is correct about people consuming long form content while taking care of other task.
I like what Chris said, about long form for the most part I like long podcast so I can hear the whole story, although I like quick mental pick me up aka short form,a power boost mentally, in general I prefer long form, but short form does have its purpose in my life❤
I can't believe that the things I learned in college are actually foundational to not only building a strong brand, but securing wealth and a legacy. At least I know that my student loans were not accumulated in vain.

There were a number of great takeaways, but the one that resonated was the Kill Bill - Pei Mei 5 finger palm exploding heart example Chris Do used relating to humility and learning. Excellent interview overall! By the way, I’m in the 0 - 10 followers on TH-cam category.

I really want to see the behind-the-scenes scenario: the lighting, the decorations, the depth. It's such a pleasure when I witness those frames. They look fantastic.
My aha was when Chris breaks down how he and his team generate ideas, chunk the content and how prepares the deck for a live video. Just nice to have the method reinforced.
That’s interesting about the dip- that “everyone knows” you have to work though the dip because there’s such high return on the other side. I notice it’s the same with even watching artists working on a painting- there’s just about always a point where I’m like - oh no, you just it 😢 and I get sad and stressed for them, the “ugly point” of the painting. But they just keep going and suddenly in like “wow, I maybe would have given up at x point, and never even known y and z were possibilities.” I’ve become much more determined in general after learning this.
The insights on personal branding from Sean and Chris are spot on. For entrepreneurs looking to leverage TH-cam, remember that consistency in content creation is key. It's not just about posting regularly, but also about maintaining a consistent message and brand image across all videos to build trust with your audience.

I did not know Chris was Vietnamese. I had a friend years back that came over to the U.S. from Vietnam with family that literally part of the boat people drama after the U.S. left. He told me how his entire family and extended family lived in a one bedroom apartment in NewYork City and none spoke any English. I was fascinated how he dedicated himself to learning English by watching TV. Then spent many years in public libraries learning English and U.S. culture. He got himself into college and became a high performing engineer in the hippa filtration field. He taught me how to apply discipline and determination to reach your goals. Great Personal Brand ❤
I am getting ready to start my own TH-cam channel so I can add to my income after I retire in 3-5 years. I appreciate all the content and references shared here. Funny at the end what Chris says about podcasts: I have been literally "washing dishes" while listening/watching, and stopping to take notes along the way! Fantastic interview! So many gems here, and not just for content creators but people in business in general. Sent this to a bunch of people who aren’t even creators because there’s so much meat in this and relevancy for today’s landscape. I loved it!!!
I think the quote about borrowing and stealing hinges on the difference between borrowing and stealing. When you borrow something, it is with the intention of using it temporarily and eventually giving it back. When you steal something, it is with the intention of making it your own and using it forever. To borrow a technique or approach would be to use it on a temporary basis, but to forget about it and/or fall back to your previous approach. To steal a technique or approach is to use it forever, adapting it to your own style and proceeding to claim ownership.

I would love to teach but I'm so overwhelmed doing design for clients that I don't have the energy to create content to help others even though I really want to. I can't figure this out in a way that fits in with who I am right now. This conversation helped me to go sit with that. I think it maybe in a future season of life. Thank you for this conversation.

Ah ha moment.. Building a channel based on NOT JUST my interests but also what the WORLD NEEDS. This was an extremely valuable coaching session/interview...
The skin care information was absolutely the most helpful part of this podcast 😂. That was hilarious. Btw I used to live in Vegas. Get a humidifier for your house. It will drastically help your skin.
I’m from the West - my people whose skin looks worse than an old leather saddle in Death Valley didn’t use sunscreen in their youth. You can also do your future 50 year old self a favor & avoid tanning beds. Don’t be stupid like me by baking in them & then have precancerous chunks taken out of your body when you get older. My Dermatologist said the tanning bed was the most dangerous for skin cancer. Now I’m missing pieces of me 😅 - out of my calf, back and my formerly lovely shaped left breast. 😢 Skin cancer kills and it’s a real thing, people!
Fantastic interview. Love both these guys and what they do! I will never look at packaging the same way again - what a cool idea for learning design. Thank you!
As a 56-year-old, obese lesbian who came out in 1984, what Chris said about us being the most confident people you’ll ever meet is very true. We learned early on that we couldn’t rely on a man to take care of us so most of us are well-educated and do very well financially. And we’ve had to be emotionally tough to deal with societal judgments, being lonely in our teenage years because we had to hide ourselves and who we loved and pretend to be straight (which is a horrible feeling), etc. We learned how resilient we are. We learned we are worthy of love even when our families disowned us (it doesn’t happen as much anymore but used to happen routinely) and we’ve had to learn how to accept that people think we’re unattractive, gross, etc. and brush it off. We’ve also learned that we have amazingly loving people who have stood by us even in the face of their own pain and confusion about who they wanted us to be (e.g. our mothers who wanted to see us walk down the aisle with a good man and have babies who’s now grappling with giving up her dream) - again that’s not as bad these days - but the older lesbians have seen a LOT of suffering. We watched friends and acquaintances in our tight-knit communities turn to addiction or suicide because they didn’t have the support they needed and deserved. And some of us were fortunate to realize we have the most amazing parents who love us unconditionally and are more bonded as a result. The rough times brought us closer. By the time you go through all that, not only do we know our worth and love ourselves but we know who’s got our back and who we can count on. Most older lesbians I know are pretty successful and happy by the time we make it past the first 30 years. I’ve always known this about us but am glad to see that others see that in us as well. Thank you Chris for that. ❤ And lastly, this podcast was AMAZING!! A big thank you Chris for all the incredible advice, book recommendations, knowledge and value you’ve given over the many years I’ve watched your videos. And same to you as well Sean for the course that got me ramped up as a creator in my fifties and for all the great videos. Your questions of Chris here blew it out of the water and Chris was a master as usual! Thank you both! 🙏
Wow! This was an amazing episode! So much value. Will definitely check out more of Chris' stuff. Hadn't heard from him before but all of this was super helpful for me 👍. Time to read those book recommendations.
"Why?" is a good place to start asking urgent questions. My recent record is a combination of AI & human musicianship. Know the line of what suits & not what you think best "fit".
Okay, this interview is packed with interesting points of view that helped me in these times to kinda freshen up my mind. Especially the parts about mastery, the art of asking questions (coz that is a concept that intrigued me my whole life) also the tip from Gary Herbert who encouraged people to take top 100 ad copy and really copy their cppy word by word for a 100 days in handwritten form to reprogram the subconscious. That is grand! - Love you guys and thank you.
So this was a great interview with a lot of beefy nuggets of information but the thing that blew my mind the most was that Chris has a son going into college?? What?! I thought he was in his early 30s! He looks so young

HIs question about the "soul" at about 5min in gave me a thought that I havent really heard being talked about...the "soul" cannot be "out" of anything but rather, the "soul" is defined and determined by the receiving party of whatever the thing is. For example: If there's an image that evokes a feeling in the person viewing it, the fact it was created by AI or not becomes irrelevant and we should stop feeding that narrative. That feeling lives on in the viewer and is then reflected in many ways, big and small, throughout their life. Thoughts?

Im totally prepared for negative comments on my social media, no random stranger could possibly say anything meaner to me than what my ex has said to my face.
💔😢💗
😂😂😂 thats funny and sad at the same time
I don't usually give likes but the skincare part was so wholesome, genuine and funny, on top of all usefull information.. it was deserved 😂
I'm sharing this with several other content creators. This is definitely one of the best training videos I've watched amongst hundreds! Thank you Sean and your guest.
1:22:29 Chris talking about Tyler Joseph being a master.
Learned a lot from both Chris and Sean, even about skin care. Thanks for sharing!
Ah ha moment..
Building a channel based on NOT JUST my interests but also what the WORLD NEEDS. This was an extremely valuable coaching session/interview...
Chris Do ❤🫶🏼❤ such an inspirational individual
"white good night "😂😂😂
I think the reason why no one wants Mr. Do to crop his conversations is because of the way he explains things and his stories
And lastly, this podcast was AMAZING!!
I learned so much from Chris Doe, I watched this 3x. Going over to his channel now.
I homeschool my son now. We cover mostly skills he will need in the future. AI work is on the agenda daily. I'm thinking of vlogging the process
The useful content aside-I loved the humor in this video! Got a few laughs and it made my day (the skincare and podcast reference at the end! 😂)
The Futur and Think Media are some of the best channels on TH-cam, love the content!
So this was a great interview with a lot of beefy nuggets of information but the thing that blew my mind the most was that Chris has a son going into college?? What?! I thought he was in his early 30s! He looks so young
Amazing stuff. Love Sean and love Chris’s stuff. Always great hearing him spit some game 🔥🙌🏼
Awesome conversation! I’m definitely taking notes on the book lists! Thank you both for all you shared!
regarding the DIP: i call it surfing the wave. The ocean has INFINITE waves. Peaks and troughs are expected. One must SURF.
Wow!!! Loved this episode - Thank you! So excited about the future.
100% I hve heard a short sequence of a video from him - never ever able to forget that anymore. it was brilliant.
Thank you Chris for sharing today; I already left my comment earlier in podcast

Right now all I do is shorts but I can see myself doing podcasts in the near future 🙌🏻😃
I recently started uploading again with the niche that I am passionate about. Huge difference because I actually enjoy making these videos, I WONT GIVE UP! If you are into free thinker, truth seeker and honest content, lets connect! I cant wait to upload more later.
It never fails. I really love to learn from Chris. Thanks!
2 of my all time favorites, legends 🏆 Excited to tune in.
Thoughts?
I just got some graph notebooks and I love that it’s the same size as their minimal planner. I’m turning it into a weekly planner because the one I was using with tomoe River paper had just way too much ghosting for me. I’m hoping H&O branches out and comes out with new weekly layouts. I love their lay flat and paper quality!
Ai is pretty beneficial to youtube but good content is still wat the people want.
Chris seems to such a humble gentleman. Always greet content
Awesome information. Thanks Think Media for allowing this interview to happen.
❤im so excited chris and sean are talking again. I am a wildlife artist and since i got to a thousands subs my channel is growing faster now. Yesterday I received a possible brand or affilate interest from my favorite paint 🎨 supply company for my artwork i create in my videos. Im thinking now how i can communicate with them. I've heard you speak on the numbers of users and Creators youtube is growing . Could you give me this stats ? So i can use them in my pitch. Thank you so much . I love think Media . Sean, you and chris are my favorite speakers❤
Thank you for this interview. So many helpful nuggets and perspectives!
That's deep. Did he say he's trying to be as big as Think media? Wow, what a compliment coming from someone who is also winning big. With that being said, I need help. With my TH-cam channel, but I'm not giving up at all.
The right business coach is like having an additional member of your team
This was excellent. Love the whole vibe. The insights dropped were profound and game changing. Thank you!
The skincare talk at the end... 😂 perfect.
😂😂😂
Great podcast Sean. I started listening at the gym this morning haven’t finish yet 😅. I’m learning a lot. Thank you.
Chris I love your advise & all the help you’ve given us over the years. The fact that you said about Elon: “Too much power for one man”…& you live in America…& you vote. Think about it. C’mon sir, get real!
That last question cracked me up too!
I liked your answer a lot!
Agreed on family foundation really helps you in adversity. Could you say also your brand is also possibly a mirror of family foundation and therefore keeps you grounded :)
Sean asking AMAZING questions wow thank you
Superb interview, thanks! Hahaha, that's why I left my performing art behind (around 25 years ago) and just having plain what is: say yes what yes and no what no. My spouse does not like it, but I hate acting and only being the great pretender (like the song, not the sung). Cheers!
I love the “will statement regarding children It’s does hit home
This was like reading a book while driving 😍🙏 thank you guys i love it both for such awareness
Awesome content! Sean your interview style is slammin and Chris Do- MASTER yes! Thank you both!! ❤❤❤💥💥💥💯💯💯
Here we go 🎉 two of my favorite friends 🎉keep up the good work fellas!!
Big fan of both of you. This was a great conversation. Thank you for being real and raw.
Agree or not with the man’s opinions, his goal is to keep the platform free speech.
Not even a minute is , Lighting is Amazing
You asked Chris some amazing questions.
Masterful! Thank you both ❤ Chris, please just keep talking 💝
Great interview. His take on the usefulness of tools was so well stated.
I agree. Don't bother editing. I put it on and listen. 101:30
I love Chris Do he just gives value 🎉❤

Totally experiencing the inspiration and momentum for becoming more creative
