Just what the Doc ordered, thanks very much... I already have most software loaded on the Rpi400 and this video will make it easy to get it working... VK3CDE
I read you fixed it. But not, I'm not running FLrig. I try to keep the computer as lean as possible. FLdigi runs without FLrig with no problems. If you run FLrig before FLdigi, it will capture the serial port, and FLdigi will not see it, unless you configure CAT in FLdigi to work via FLrig, which I don't do. 73
@@KP4OTA Te felicito! - Es una radio muy buena, muy versatil, buen tamaño para el shack o para portable. Todas las bandas, todos los modos, no hay mucho mas que agregar! Un abrazo. 73
I note that the "Band Select" buttons found at the very bottom of the flrig interface (after pressing the down arrow) do not appear to work with this set-up? is this normal for the 991a or am I having and issue?
Unfortunately I do not have anymore my computer with Linux connected to the radio at the moment. I had dual boot setup and my Linux HDD died. I can give it a shot with Windows and let you know later.
@@VA3HDL Thanks. Everything else works great and got my first Digital/PSK 31 Contacts. I just wasn't sure about the band select buttons not working. Any info would be appreciated. I have done a search on the web without luck pertaining specifically to the band select buttons.
Hi Fernando, mainly as it is explained here on this video. The RPi runs Linux too. I have a couple RPi but I never connected to the FT-991A. For this video I was running Linux on my main PC. With FLDIGI are you running FLRIG as well? Can’t get the rig to communicate will the 991A file, I’ll keep trying though...
