Love this trip with you...just noting.. when you use phrases like "no one has approached us trying to sell drugs" and "same customers people think are going to steal our handbags" you obviously are referring to the way people look. My guess is that you are talking about persons of another race. Sure, be cautious, but passing on your associations on your videos made me raise an eyebrow. You did attempt to correct the stealing handbags association by claiming the customer helped with loading...still...you might want to think about this for future videos. I could be wrong also.
Linda Glover Wait, what?! What does either of those comments have to do with race or how people look? Sue was simply making a statement based on the concern of viewers in previous videos implying that by walking away from her cart/handbag, she may have it stolen by another customer-of no particular race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. The fact that another customer offered to help us carry the furniture to our car, only proves that most of the other customers are good people and not out to steal our handbags. I think the only “association” here is your own and you may want to be cautious before jumping to conclusions...

Linda Glover I did not hear any references to any race. It was just about leaving your purse in the shopping cart and turning your back to it or walking away from it. I always carry my purse but last winter I put my new winter coat in the cart because I got to hot and it was gone within five minutes as I was looking at racks of merchandise. Next time I leave the coat in the car because there are thieves among us and they look like all of us.
I have a young cousin whose son has autism. Thank you for asking people to be nice. The mom is probably doing the best she can.

Loved seeing you haul that furniture out of there! My neighbor abandoned a mid century hutch, sideboard, and bookshelf on her curb and I spotted it at 530 in the morning just as it started to rain. Her house was about five houses away and I was home alone...so what a girl to do other than figure out a way! Still not sure how I did it but I got those suckers down the street and up to half flights of steps before the rain came. My back was out for a week, but totally worth it and the hutch and sideboard like bomb with my old 1940s enamel ware kitchen table! My neighbor ended up stopping by to say good bye before she left on her move and I was pretty horrified for her to realize Id yanked her 'Trash" into my house but she was thrilled about it. (This same woman also threw away about 20 Longaberger baskets ALL of which were in brand new condition, with fabric liners and plastic liners and original tags. I still do not understand why people dont just call a service to pick things up for donation...especially things that are worth very good money...but Im not complaining because I was her charity that day and made over 600 dollars on the baskets I sold and I kept quite a few for my house.

I often shop by myself. I have a Yukon XL that I've removed the third seat from. I have cut a piece of bead board to protect the carpet, plus it makes furniture super easy to slide. With the second row folded down it's an eight foot covered, climate controlled beast. I have fit an entire Antique Booth of stuff in it at once. I keep moving blankets and straps in it all the time. That being said, if you lay a blanket down on the back of your vehicle it will make it so much easier to slide. Love your videos!

Goodwill stores in our area price anything that even looks worth having at idiotic prices. Things that are tattered and used are even marked at about a dollar less than the new price.

The ET glass!!!! Okay, you grabbed a Lisa Frank folder & told the story of your 30 & has a kid LF stuff was all the rave! Well I'm 42 & I remember going to see ET in 82 my first movie AT the movies! This was so much fun and had me absolutely in stitches. I am always so happy for you guys when you make such a fine haul of goodies. I thought I would die laughing at Sue's quip about the Hope Diamond and the crap porcelain. A few unknown facts about the Hope Diamond. I have a picture of my hubbies aunt wearing the Hope Diamond. Back in the 1940's she was a friend of Evelyn Walsh McClain, who owned it at that time. Evelyn used to put on big parties and fund drives for wounded and disabled soldiers in WWII. Aunt Betty wore the diamond to one of these parties. However, before anyone thinks this was such a special honor, Evelyn had a dog collar for her dog, fitted to hold the diamond, and the dog wore it a lot too. True story!

You both have taught me so much. Asked today at Goodwill about their 99 cent bins. Not anywhere close to me here in Houston although I don't think I'd want to go through them. Did meet a lady though who said she has been doing this full time for over 2 years. She gave me a lot of great tips and I gave her 3 stores to go to not Goodwills. And then, as I was paying, she came to me and showed me an entire set of dishes in her cart BUT handed me her cell phone where on the internet was a photo of 1 place setting of the dishes in her cart and marked for almost $500 for that 1 place setting...and yes, she she bought the entire service for 8. I came home and have been photographing like crazy. To be able to quit your job and do what both of you do and what that lady and endless others who share on TH-cam is what I want. Bless all of you who share and boy, am I ever having fun.

Awesome haul Jocelin, Jocelin please when you finish decorating your home give us a tour, you have such a beautiful home, yes I love the cabinet, I was born in the sixties, I can remember so many pieces in that style in my cousins home, my cousin was probably about 15 or so years older than I, seeing all the mid-century modern pieces just brings back such great childhood memories for me, yeah I am getting on up there in age, but so thankful for these years! I had a knock out deal this year. I got a vintage Woolrich sweater for 5 bucks and resold for 350.00. When you got the owls I jumped up and down since they are on fire on resales. The cake plate is everything!!!
I sell Woolrich all the time, from blankets to sweaters to vintage coats..it does not EVER sell that high for anyone.

I was in a resale shop and saw a lady pick a nice peice of pottery figurine I actually followed her around the store. In my head. I kept saying " put it down put it down". And she did. I grabbed it paid 5.00 for it. It was a Royal Dalton valued at 359.00. SCORE!

OMG - I had to pause right after I saw the comment about the autistic child. It's bringing tears to my eyes. I have an autistic son. He's 16 now and I can take him almost anywhere without trouble. But when he was young, I never knew if he would be okay or have a meltdown. For a long time I just wouldn't go out at all with him. When I did take him out I always worried about what might happen if he started to have trouble. Sometime people are kind, sometimes they were AWFUL! Thank you for being kind!!!!!!

I've just recently found your channel and love it! I can't get out as much as I used to so it's wonderful to tag along with you two! Also, A Big Thank You for the message about the noisy child. I have an autistic grandson and really appreciate the kind reminder to those who might be tempted to complain about the "kid in the background". My daughter is an angel and has worked very intensely with her children, but still hesitates taking them out in public. It's incredible how unkind and downright mean people can be. They'd "straighten him out" given the chance. Again, thank you for your loving comment!

@@KinseySwartz Your right, my daughters love sailor moon and have since they were tiny, they are 23 and 20 . My oldest has all the dolls and that doll is about the same size but it is not the right doll. My wife pointed it out to me and asked me to comment this since she is now busy cleaning up cat vomit, (fur balls gota love them)
