A moment of appreciation for Tic Tac the crow please? What a little icon ❤
And Sarge, the goodest boy
The colors in this story have a deeper meaning than u thought. Being that some tribes have said that red is ths only color spirits can see, and that purple is associated with the spirit realm. A very interesting story indeed.
Isn’t green a spiritual color ?

I LOVE THAT THE DOG SAVED THE LITTLE GIRL FROM FOLLOWING THE BALL IN TO THE WOODS I WAS HOPING THAT THE WATCHER DIDN'T HARM HER AND I LIKE THAT COOPER DID A GREAT JOB
I have to admit, that was one of the best stories I have heard on TH-cam. Drew me in, and kept my attention to the last minute. Bravo! And thanks!
Same here ❤
What I want to know is where's the location of this gas station see I know I'm crazy to some people but I believe stuff like
I also agree. The story was so well written and well presented. I´m a 62 year old woman from Sweden. Of all the horror stories I have heard in my life, this is definitely one of the best.
@user-pj9fg6vd4b you do know these are just made up stories right lol

I love this story. The fact that he stayed, and that everything worked in an odd harmony (especially the animals) made this so satisfying. Thank you, Stephen! ❤
Great story!

First time I see someone putting so much efforts to telling a story.
The results are great.
Great story and it's nice to finally have a character that read the rules, actually remembered them AND followed them!
I’m not usually a fan of gas station stories, but I’d love more on this one. It’s wholesome and has some good spooks and everything without overdoing it. I like it

Me either, but this one was different. Really enjoyable.
Gotta be honest, I didn't much cotton to idea of you being on cam telling the stories. I just couldn't believe someone could pull it off without distracting from the story. Dang was I wrong! Watching you tell me these tales has actually engaged me more into the plots as you really are a damn good visual and voice actor! For all the hundreds of hours I have been engrossed listening to you LH, thank you.
That is a fact!
Exactly this
I love seeing him too and the AI video with the breaks of him taking gives a reason to actually watch the video most stories i just lock my phone and listen but now i can watch plus lighthouse is so hansom!
I really appreciate that!
Exactly!!
2 minutes in & I had to stop & comment: YOU'RE A PHENOMENAL STORY TELLER!!!! 💜
You created a fascinating, entrancing, and scary world. I was completely immersed in the story. Well-acted, good animation, but not overdone, so my imagination could take over. Well done!
Created? You mean fabricated and not real? Dang.
Determining what is real without knowing regardless of how ridiculous as it may sound is more ridiculous than this story. I have seen things that not even I believe, but yet still it happened. Nothing is ever what it seems.

Would make a great movie or series. "The Station!"
You are a superior narrator sir. Listening to your recitation of your tale was a real treat!
I really like this. Cooper is a champ! He took things seriously and did his job to the best of his abilities, and most of all he stayed! So happy for Milton, Tic Tac, & Old Sarge to have him!
I love this one. It's a little spooky and mysterious without being gorey and giving me nightmares, and there's woods near by! I hope the writer keeps doing this story, and I hope you keep narrating them!
There is something soothing about being able to see you tell the story.
You don't think the mouth movement is kinda off? Along with the cadence?

I love gas station stories. I don’t know how you do this consistently now, without headphones and a mic sitting down. This has to be harder to produce than just recording your multi voices. You have this technic down.

I need more of this series of gas station stories, please pretty please...
This one was so fantastic, I can't even imagine how good the next ones could be!!!
Yes please more on gas station stories like this! 😊
Look up tales from the gas station. That series is amazing.
My Grandfather owned a Gas Station with a Motel. Everyday there were new stories with different people. It's a great base for a Series because it involves transients and then the Regulars who work at The Station.
That's it! I'm going to write a Horror Anthology specifically for Lighthouse to Narrate! So addictive, just pure horror joy! The voices, on point EVERYTIME. EVERY narration literally makes the story come to life! Superb as always Mr. Lighthouse! 👀👀💯👏
I’m not sure that trading brand new camping gear for old junk was what the owner had in mind. Creepy gas station stories are the best! Thanks for this upload.
Milton may be an angel. I don't think he was concerned about the gas station's financials.
I love the stories where someone finds a sense of purpose.
With how you deliver the stories it's like these are your stories that you have personally lived.
You've been gifted with the PERFECT story telling voice...especially for suspense!
My first time visiting your show. You are a unbelievably excellent story teller. You sold me. ❤❤❤
That was GREAT! Well written, well performed, awesome storyline, five gold stars!
Really loved this story! I especially liked the ending. Far too many of these stories have unhappy and tragic endings, so this one was very much appreciated. It was terrific that the protagonist has found his calling as the new Gatekeeper. After all, the old "keeper" is elderly, and in poor health, he would need a younger replacement. You have to wonder if he was not led there by a higher power. And frankly, he is right about being needed there, far more than anywhere else. He is saving lives and protecting people, and maybe keeping dangerous supernatural creatures from roaming out of the park. A mysterious, spooky, but very satisfying story! Narration is fabulous, as always!
dude actually puts in the work on these videos and doesn't just slap on some text to speech, gotta appreciate the effort 😸
You are a wonderful narrator, very impressed.please do more narrations.❤
Yeah I hate robot fake voice
Love Weird Stories. Especially those that could happen any day to anybody who just happens to take that Extra Step down the road.
GREAT JOB!
I was working at an Exxon Gas Station in 1989, I was 19.
Back in the day, gas stations offered "full service" or self service. Self service is just what it sounds like. You pull up, get out, and fuel your car yourself.
Full service is a relic of the past. You pull up, stay in your car, pop the hood and sit back and relax. The attended (that was me) will fuel your car, open your hood, check your belts and fluids, and check the tires.
If any fluids were needed we put them in, if belts were needed, we could do that too. And of course we'd put air in the tires if needed.
That year Exxon was responsible for one of the worst ecological disasters to that time when a supper tanker, Exxon Valdez, ran aground and spilled it's cargo into the sea iff the coast of Alaska. The oil washed up on shore almost instantly and Exxon Corp got a lot of anger directed at them.
At some point after this a car pulled into Full service and as I leaned into the window to greet the driver something weird happened. There was a bright flash of light, I heard a popping sound and the next thing I knew I was sitting on the ground with a very sore mouth and blood dribbling onto my shirt.
This guy had punched me in the mouth, apparently for what had happened in Alaska. My boss saw it happen and got the guy's license number and the police had no trouble finding and arresting him.
Now here's the thing, the sign said Exxon, but I didn't work for Exxon Corp. I worked for the franchise owner.
However, directly across the street from the gas station was an oil refinery filled with employees of Exxon Corp any one of them would have been happy to discus the Valdez with him.
When they heard what had happened, most of them wanted to talk to the guy anyway. I'd known most of them for most of my life because my dad was one of those Exxon Corp employees.
None of them were skinny teenagers with a fake leg though. Maybe he just wanted a fight he could win. Of course even then he launched a sneak attack then split before I even knew what had happened. Perhaps if it had been a fair fight he would have discovered exactly how busy a one legged man in an ass kicking contest actually is.
Turns out the guy who punched you was a ghost, haunting the roads, punching anyone who doesn't put ghosts in their stories.
This is a good one! 👻
They're all good if you've narrated it
I'm a huge fan for any kind of Tales from the Gas Station kinda narrations. Thanks again my Friend

This is a great one!
Thank you!
What's the story with the lettering on the signs changing from what looks like Chinese to Bosnian to Czech, and Tik-tak parked on a changing billboard with building lights behind him going on and off, sometimes a building, sometimes a sign with Kanji? There must be something, or you wouldn't have gone to the trouble.
Fantastic story, really cool seeing you narrate and the images you include! I also love Tic Tac and Sarg, best characters honestly!!
thank you Zombie! Ha I liked Tic Tac & Sarge too!
Wow 👌
Yeah, I couldn't see anyone else take that job after you besides you and the animals seem to take care of everyone there. Dude, you're definitely the apprentice. You fit this job.
Great story man! I love how everything just fits together and how the new guy realizes that it's not a joke. And that he actually likes the job. And let's face it. It is an important one. I think I would have drove around the camp sites during the day to get familiar, or acquainted with the area.
Love this one!!! Hope to hear more from Cooper and the gang!! Bravo Lighthouse!!
Cooper is a rare and unique individual to want to stay at such a strange job!
Old Sarge reminds me of the dog on Mr Pickles 😅
In 32 minutes I got introduced to iconic characters, good story, good protagonist, and a lot of suspense... THATS HOW YOU WRITE A STORY
Some of us have jobs a lot like this. Nice to see it as a story. Stories often save folks from odd danger.
Love how you decided to record this story with being on camera. It adds a bit more depth to the story as if you’re the guy working at the gas station. Also, all the other imagery throughout is great. I mostly listen to these at work so I don’t actually watch the video, but I’m on break right now and was like “wow this is impressive”. Im not sure if this is how you always do it because like I said I mostly go by audio, but just to wanted to compliment and appreciated the effort that goes into these videos that I’ve likely ignored up until now lol.
I appreciate the kind words!
this would be a great game!! can be open world-ish, having a survival mode or easy cozy mode (where u just tend to the store while some crazy stuff happens sometimes)
This was an amazing story!
I love how the rules dip in and out of craziness each rule like:
1: If orgalord the borg lord comes, hide under the desk
2: If the cash register gets stuck use wd40 to grease the hinges
3: if GORLOCK THE DESTROYER knocks on the door turn out the lights and play dead!
4; If a customer cant find the cotton candy look in the back in the box labeled "sweets"
Again, another great story from one of my favorites! These are the moments I listen to these, when I'm home alone, no kids at home,no husband and just me and my Lighthouse Horror stories! Headphones on, for the perfect sounds and some snacks.. lift my feet up, because I have meniskin in my left knee, and it hurts.. so listening to something eases my mind and pain! Thanks for helping me, in my daily struggle!!!❤

This one is fantastic! It is definitely an intriguing job that kinda hooks you into it. And $20/hour is decent money. The storyteller did a great job.
It is? Not in Australia.
@@heatherfruin5050 Where I live minimum wage is 13.65/hr (USD) as of 2023 and most businesses here hate paying more than that. (They also complained when it went up this year.) Cost of living is way higher so it's a struggle to make ends meet.
I looked up the exchange rate and that would be about 21 AUD, so I can see how 20/hr wouldn't be decent pay there.
I started listening to your channel because I love scary stories. You sir have me hooked on this channel to the point that I'm listening to your older stories because I can't get enough of your talent for story telling. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Bro this story could honesty be made into a tv series it's soo good. Love that main character chose to stay and work as the gate keeper's apprentice. Love it when the main character accepts their destiny and decides to fight the good fight.
This is one of the best presented stories on TH-cam. I was glued to every word the narrator was saying! Subscribed in a heartbeat!

Do you happen to be a voice actor? If not, then you should be! What a unique and amazing voice, and the stories you choose are all so intriguing. You have a very cozy channel!
That was a wonderful story!!!
I like to listen to your stories as I play cards on my phone. Most nights I go to sleep with the chickens and sleep like a rock, for awhile. Once awake I try to stay quiet and not stir around so everyone else can sleep. Your voice is soothing and the cards are monitonous so I often listen and get sleepy again.
In the story I like the help of Tictok and old Sarge.
The fact that the owner is so concerned about helping people not wear the color red is astonishing. He loses a lot of money in his quest to save lives. So the story has a couple of heros.
Nice change from spooky stories. Just so full of imagination! Kudos to the author!
Also the young "assistant watcher" seems to be cut from the same cloth. Just wonderful.
I really wish this would become a series I love this story and I honestly wish I could have a job like this one it would be perfect for me.awesome story wish to hear more!! Also you are sure a talented person with the narrations among everything else you are my number one story teller I wake every week for your story and I've listened to every one of your stories you've put out and I have to say that I never really was interested in listening to stories like this but I tried it one day and I picked one of your stories and I was hooked and I've listened to a lot of others since hearing you and no offense to the other narrator's but they just do not even compare or even have the talent that you have, the way you read/narrate the stories you just draw people in the way you do it, You are Amazing I truly wish you would do more than one story a week though lol for your stories are literally one of the top highlights of my week!!
This story was amazing. I normally put on a story to sleep to and keep coming back to finish them after I fall asleep. But this one had me hooked from start to finish and I couldn't doze off with images of the environment in my head while listening. Hope a continuation is made!

I gotta say, I’m loving the fact that not only are you on screen nowadays but how you’ve also start to illustrate for us as well what’s going on. Even though you always done well enough with just your voice to illustrate for me personally but I know some people aren’t like that, my fiancé sure needs that illustrations lol thank you for always finding ways to make your art form fit everyone’s needs, we appreciate you so much Lighthouse ❤
Aha I love that you appear and read to me on nights I can’t sleep lol. Thank you ❤
thanks for watching! I hope you enjoy this one
This was a fantastic story, so well done! My only comment would be about the animation at the end. The guy said that he wouldn’t have been able to see it if it wasn’t moving, and only it’s outline. Right as this bright electric giant skeleton thing appears onscreen, something you’d be able to see from miles away. It’s just incongruous with the otherwise amazing story. Love that he stayed and called if his dream job. A part 2 about the green lightning would be awesome, btw. Thanks for sharing it!
Darcy writes so very intriguingly..so great story to begin with! But the reciting of the material is splendid, just splendid! Only one other person on TH-cam does it as well, Mr. Ballin ! One of the best mystery suspense stories I remember from childhood was the the story The Iron Man.
I must have been about 7 or 8 years old when I heard it. My school teacher would finish the afternoons before school ended by reading a bit more of the story for 30 minutes. We all sat around on the floor listening in silence transfixed. Our teacher was a great story teller. The story begins with a local rural town in England where the locals wake up one morning to discover something very alarming has happened during the night. Half a farmers tractor is missing..as though something has bitten it in half and taken a chunk of it. Mysteriously every morning the local people wake up to discover more and more metal objects, fencing, railway tracks, cars are being consumed by something leaving behind a trail of very large foot prints the size of two buses. The Iron Man! What a great story for kids 😄
