Ok this whole "im starting a new job doing "X" and they left me this strange list of rules" ones are great. Dont you get the feeling that ALL of these people's suffering could be avoided if the employer would just personally train the person for one night? Just a 3 word explanation for each rule, with a visual aid could do wonders.
I think there's a story out there along the lines of "I write the rules that are in all the "rules" stories" it was pretty good.
@@TaylerBootzthere’s a few like that. The one I like has the guy working for rules inc, where he has to write his rules in an insane asylum.
Like “oh yeah that’s just Greg. When he shows up don’t look at him. You can talk to him but never look”
@@screener0797can you pls tell the title of a video like that?
Boy if that was me reading those rules I would of haul ass lol
Protagonist: fails to return the cart the first time
Store: jazz music stops
Amazing comment lol
GAAAHHHHHHH 😖😫
I made the exact same joke the same number of months ago as you, and I got 0 likes. You got 86, you lucky son of a gun! 🤦🏻♀️
I love it when the rules are self aware, because the woman was definitely getting him to violate aisle 7 on purpose
No the rule exists because she wants you in 7 not the other way around
@@DblTap317 no there's a seperate entity in 7 she's trying to force u into
can't even walk down the street without a strange list of rules these days
Today I was on the toilet, it came with a list of rules.
It's like they are handing them out to every establishment now. Shameful.
Lmao
@@Ricoxosama bruh same, tho it's a verbal one for me. It a voice from a woman, oops 😂 it was my mom telling me to flush it properly after using it
@@Ricoxosama Rule 1: If the shower is on when you enter the bathroom, get a cup of cold water and throw it over the curtain. Then fart and leave.
"I stood there..pressed against the mayonnaise display" 😂😂😂 I love it when Stephen uploads!
I love these rules stories. I could listen to these every night. Don't stop making them.
Which are ur fave? Theres so many and some are hit or miss for me.
There's sooooo many good stories out 5here that ARENT rule stories though too...
@@wadejohnston4305 I am well aware. But rules are my favorite
@@kiaravincent4638 I enjoy the rules stories that are lengthy. I can't stand rules stories where the majority of the story is just listing the rules. I want to see them in effect.
I remember one of a security guard which was really good a couple years back but i can't find the video and that's upsetting.
What I love most about these stories is not the content but the authors; It's pretty clear that a lot of them are just security guards with nothing better to do and I relate so hard to that
As a security guard I can understand this
I was a security guard overnights for three years in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado it's a 437 acres of cemetery grounds, and mortuaries. There's always 5 guards on Duty 24/7 I help guard the veterans side of it. I had some really unexplained and supernatural things happen on my shift. And not just to me personally but other guards I work with told me their experiences.
I'd love to hear them!
Me too!
What happened?!?!
Yes, yes... Of course.
Curious I was a night receptionist in a hotel for two years and guess what? Nothing singular ever happened, but I can tell you that the people who write these kind of bullshit never actually work in this kind of job.
Never did you, otherwise you could have noticed that a night job is more than just sitting on a chair and make a round sometimes.
@@Hilljoona This one is extra painful as a PA resident. New Hope is a crazy affluent- like basically has multiple festivals a year and a row of high end restaurants and shops. Absolutely nothing is run down, also there is no Weiss.
Your story telling abilities are without compare.
Listening, I can imagine a campfire, and a counselor telling personal stories.
You scare the hell out of me and I love it.
Thanks for sharing.
I don't know about that, Mr. Ballen is pretty damn good, too.
Mr ballen is great with his format and story telling
He's great
As someone that worked overnight as a grocery stocker/manager for ~20 years I love these.
You are a KING of narration for sure.
Absolutely 💯 😢
Agree, but my other favourite is Mr. Ballen ❤
I'm surprised that these stories about Lists of Rules don't come with some sort of explanation.
New hire wouldn't believe anyway, but would make the list of Rules more believable .
Would make logical sense to include that, but we don't like logic in these here parts.
It's possible they either dont think they will be believed so just dont bother. Or they have tried in the oastb& people have either ignored it anyway or they didnt take the job.
Sometimes trial by fire is the only way people (who survive) will beleive.
Still pays better than a night shift at Freddy’s.
I love rules and ranger and stores stories!! This one , the poor security guard messed up the rules, its no wonder he heard the store music playing in his car when he drove home. I know rules sounds boring as a new employee, but I really wonder if one followed them in these stories if they'd survive with some sanity?? LOLs
Keep picking great stories, LH, I'm loving your selections vs the other peeps on youtube. 😍
The rules creepypastas are always the same yet different, but they feel safe because you know just what to expect, the knowledge feels good. And the unique narrator's voice and pace always adds to the experience 🥰🥰🥰
I used to work at dollar general and was staying late one night to get some stuff done. It was around Halloween and we had just gotten in some candy dishes that were motion activated one was a witch and when u walked past her she would laugh. I was up at the front of the store and the Halloween section was across the store. I working and I thought I heard the candy dish go off. I brushed it off and went back to work I heard it again and I stopped thinking again maybe my mind was playing tricks on me I again blew it off. Then I heard it a third time again this candy dish was motion activated and I was in the store alone and we were closed. I left everything where it was and noped my way out of there. I text the store manager and told her about leaving the mess what happened and I would take care of my mess the next morning sorry not sorry. I believe there is a reasonable explanation for everything but I could not find an explanation for that.
Basic malfunctioning.
Just unplug it and problem solved.
Might have been a bug landing on the camera. I work overnight reception at a 55+ condominium apt building and during the summer the front automatic doors open once every few minutes because tons of bugs fly around the lights outaide

He's the only creepypasta guy I really listen to anymore. Ill still listen to like dark somnium and others if its a really good story. But i listen to everything lighthouse does. Just something about the voice, and he tends to pick good stories.
He is a good story teller.❤

A Lighthouse Horror story to end a practically perfect day. I got to spend quality time with my BFF and your tale was the cherry on top of an almost perfect Sunday sundae. (I'm a pragmatism; nothing is ever truly perfect, nor is it ever truly horrid)
You Mr Lighthouse never do Disappoint. Thanks for another awesome narration my Friend.
Hope everyone's weekend went well.
I loveeee the “strange set of rules” stories, they’re what pulled me in! Literally my favorite!! You’re amazing! Thank you so much for sharing these with us
I enjoyed this great story!!! You did an excellent job on narrating it 💙💙
Thank you Stephen, I greatly appreciate you 💙💙
Much love and hugs from South Carolina ❤️ xx
May God always bless you, keep you healthy and safe ❤️🙏❤️
The reading along with the story. Perfect combination! I love your list story reads.
I worked in a Macy’s Department store when I was young. The building it was in was pretty old. The store itself had 5 floors, but there was another 3 or 4 above it that were vacant that the store used for overstock. I worked in the China department, so many times we had to go up to area on the 7th foot to get merchandise. There was a old tiny elevator that had door that sometimes would not open, so they had put a crowbar in there to use if that happened. It was Sunday and I had to go up about 4:30 PM and the store closed at 5:00 PM. It was always creepy up on those floors. The rooms were super old and rundown and they had these big mental shelves on the floor that held the boxes of merchandise. You would always hear weird noises up there like footsteps or a loud bang. Sometimes the old fluorescent lights would start flickering. You wanted to get out as fast as you could. One time when I went back to take the elevator back down. It never came. There was an old wall phone, but it had been disconnected. This was before cell phones. There was a staircase, but the door was locked. I was sure The store would close and I would be locked in there all night. Luckily, right before closing I heard the elevator. I ran back to see a store manager right as the doors closed. When we pushed the button for the elevator to come back, it did not return. He had this huge ring of store keys and thankfully one fit the door to the stairwell.
I avoided going up there after that and a couple months later left that job.
I just found your channel. I love it! You do an amazing job narrating the stories.
Whens is the next! On the trail of a vampire coming out I'd love to hear it all in 1 go
Tied for the best with MrCreepyPasta! You’re in for a treat
Welcome ! You found the right channel, just look into the playlist and choose : long, short, 15 mins - 5 hours ( that one is no compilation) , compilations, forest, rules, vanpires, cryptids, skinwalkers, cabin , small town ranger/ cop / etc. 👋
He’s a great narrator!
"what kind of grocery store needs a security guard when it's closed?"
clearly you have never read a creepypasta
Wow, this story had me on the edge of my seat! The haunted grocery store with its eerie rules and mysterious occurrences gave me serious chills. Can't believe the narrator's courage to explore Aisle 7 - that was intense! Lighthouse Horror always delivers the best spine-tingling tales. Keep up the great work, can't wait for the next hair-raising story!
I swear to god this one was so funny. I love how the character quickly adapted to the situation and started sprinting for every patrol lmaooo. AND THEN THE BLOOD SHOWED UP TO STOP HIM FROM RUNNING HAHAHAHA. Very very good. I really enjoyed it.
If this story is true,I would have got the hell out of the Store.
I would have not have gone to the Break Room!
You are braver than me,dude!
The grocery store horror stories are the best! Good job Lighthouse Horror!
Very good story! Got sucked right in and stayed hanging on until the very end. I love those stories that come with a list of strange rules. You always want to know what will happen if you miss one, and this one gives you some weird, cool answers.
Thanks for the spooky ride into the night!

Love that you are visible in your narrations. You effortlessly deliver with great inflection and interpretation of the story. Thank you for all you give❤
Thanks so much! Love these "rules" stories. ⚘️🙋♀️
Nice story but wouldn’t it just be safe to stay in the break room all shift? And stay an hour later OT to clean up
Love these stories. I’ve been in Law Enforcement for 24 years, can we get a couple of rules stories with cops.👍🏻
As a grown ass man, nothing get's me to sleep faster than listening to another grown ass man reading me some horror stories at night. And you LH easily do it better than any other narrator! I'm a big fan. Supreme quality content as always + you always pick the best stories👌
Check out Dark Somnium if you haven't; he's my favorite. And Mr Creepypasta has really started to grow on me as well. All three of these guys are pretty top tier.
@@codyhensley640 I listen to all of those! They are awesome
I just noticed, congrats on the 500k! I'm so happy for you! The story was great, too!
Another brilliant story & narration, thanks as always Stephen. A continuation of that story would be cool xxx
Perfect timing, just starting my nightly lighthouse binge.
I hate when the rules are totally impossible to follow.
I love these "List of Strange Rules" type of Creepypastas.
I always know I'm in-store for the bizarre and I love it.
Hey Lighthouse, hope all is well with you and yours. Best narrator on TH-cam, strikes again. Thanks again for your fantastic work. Be well and take care.
When I was in the psych ward I would use my hour of phone time to always listen to these stories. I'm so glad he's still making these vids!!! ❤
Were there any rules for phone time?
I worked at McDonald's here are strange rules you have to follow #1 always reheat french fries when a customer ask, #2 always prepare the Mac sauce at 10 a.m. before lunch, #3 if a Karen pulls up to the drive thru and you forget to make her double cheese burger plain she will come inside and complain make sure to give her extra ketchup and a complimentary apple pie, #4 the most important rule never under any circumstances clean the ice cream machine,#5 always double check doordash orders or you will receive a bad review and last but not least #6 if it's 10:50 a.m. make sure to inform the customer that you are no longer serving breakfast
Rule 6 made me laugh. That was hilarious cause it's so true
The imagery makes the story more immersive!
There is a haunted Antique Store near me. It was originally a fruit packing plant, because California used to have a lot of orange groves. It's a big wooden structure with several rooms spread over 3 floors. People lease spaces and sell their things. My brother dated a girl who worked there and she asked him to come over because she didn't want to be alone. One of the lower rooms had a light switch way in the back, so you went down 4 stairs , across to the back, shut off the light and make a run for it. My brother said things were pulling his clothes after he shut off the light. They went around turning off lights and as they passed that room the light came back on. They just kept walking and locked the door and left. It's in Whittier California, it's called King Richard's Antiques.

Hey Miss Jen .me too something soothing ghost stories and his vois
I love the way this guy tells the stories. Best bedtimes horror stories ever
Enjoying the stories, but this one I have to critique. New Hope is a very, very well-kept area on the river, filled with quaint shops and yummy restaurants.
Nothing run down there at all, lol.
It reminds me of story I read years ago. A woman was traveling from Delaware to NJ during a snowstorm. She somehow made it to NJ without realizing it. It's not possible - you have to cross a toll bridge to get to NJ. The author described the suburb of Cherry Hill as farmland and that if you lived there you need a generator in the winter. Um, no. It's all suburbs and stores, no farms.
BERKS countian here and I thought the same about New Hope!
I'm from PA, and I thought...what a weird way to pronounce " Weis"
And then I thought.
" Where is there a haunted Weis, in New Hope"?
Now an Acme? I could believe that.
Immediately I had to rewind... Haunted store in New Hope, sure. A rundown anything near New Hope? Definitely not.
Ah, we need a sequel to this! The ending gave me Grave Encounters 2 vibes.. I hope MC is going to be ok..
Thank you for a narration well done as always, LH.. Hope you have a great Sunday night.. 😊
I love the Grave Encounters movies!
Love your stories! Have you ever considered doing voice acting work? I'm sure you'd be pretty good at it, you hold a lot of emotions in your voice in characters that people hiring would love! 💕
Night shift at a store does get creepy with no customers and a skeleton crew of workers there
Night shift anywhere is creepy
I Love what you've been doing with the channel! All of the visuals you've added really have increased the enjoyment that I get when listening to your stories! Great job, Stephen! Die hard fan now!!

Thank you Stephen for making my night again with another awesome pasta. As always, an amazing narration. There's definitely been a lot of rules to follow lately.🙃 Thank you for everything you do.🖤🖤🖤🖤
You are so good at what you do! It’s amazing! You should be so proud. It is so awesome to see someone doing what they’re supposed to be doing. Congrats!!❤️❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Stephen, you are absolutely amazing! I'm a horror junkie, so I listen to quite a few narrators. You are hands down the best! Everything you read sounds as if you actually lived through the events. A few of the other narrators I listen to have tried reading their stories on screen. Not one of them continued doing it, and honestly it was distracting and did not add to the story. However, you have perfected on screen reading! You are a natural, and it adds so much to the narration! Keep up the amazing work! 👏 ❤
I can go to sleep listening to Lighthouse , hope he goes in for years to come
Superb! Thank you ❤🇬🇧

Always look forward to another episode, great narration excellent pipes, we love light house horror, thank you
This one was great. Overt paranormal horror stories are fun to listen to, so many of these r/nosleep stories try super hard to be overly cerebral or try to couch things in realism and vagueness while be SUPER dramatic about how normal the protagonist is (because it could happen to you!!!1). It's nice to just get stories that absolutely don't shy away from being in your face about the nightmare fuel.
YAY!!! You just cheered me up....thank you soooo much😌I needed something to take my mind off the negative mood before going to bed. I really appreciate your talent&time, much🤍and respect🥰

Oh, that ending. Great job as usual. I've said it before, but I really like the videos you do on screen. It really adds to the experience, kind of like sitting around a campfire listening to scary stories.
