As a wildland firefighter we rely on the lookouts more than anyone would know. Yes it’s boring and ya gotta know your stuff. We all fall in love with the women lookouts voices knowing that it’s best to fantasize on them and not a good thing to meet them in person.
How many Sasquatch people have you seen?
@robert
Lol lol lol
Sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality
Maybe it’s a bigger let down when you find out the truth
That is kinda creepy dude...
@@mikem8488isnt that the reason we're here lol
@@mikem8488 It ain't as deep as you think. It's creepier you automatically assume creepy intentions. Fantasizing is normal and it's not automatically something sexual.
This is literally what most people do with faceless content creators whose voice and personality they like. They build their own idea of who they are and what they look like, then people often become disillusioned after a face reveal.
The fire lookout stories are among my favorites. You give such a strong sense of imagery through your narrations. The stories play themselves out like a movie with your voice acting. Seriously, you impress each upload. Thank you! 💛
Totally! My favorites are fire tower and the list of rules.
Especially when there together like this one.
They're my favorite. I love the fire lookout podcasts
My dad has been a fire fighter his whole life, in his retirement he’s still a fire lookout. His favorite place to be is in that tower.
Are these lookout jobs real? Why have them when you can put in a dozen cameras and have one person monitor the equivalent to 6 towers.
Do you know how much we love and appreciate your work, dear Stephen? We really do! ❤
Here here!!!
Hell yes! Just gets better and better
Agree!!!! Best storyteller on the net by far!
@@042mandy You're so right!!
My absolute favorite. Never even considered joining a patron till I found this channel.
Was not expecting this at all. At first I thought it was a documentary of sorts of the narrator speaking. His life when he got the job but got totally sucked into his story and then realizing this is a storyteller channel. 🤦🏽♂️ well told, well written. It got me listening and really involved. Good job.
Me too. I thought this was a true tale.
OK cool I feel better I was also fooled for a couple minutes😂😂
Same here hahaha until he spoke about the videotape, he had me.
Me tooooo! I was dreaming of applying to do this job!
I did this job for 3 month's then I quit. It's a regret of mine tbh. My uncle got me the job. For the first month it was good, i really enjoyed it. The guy i spoke to on the walkie-talkie was a good guy. He was new too and we helped each other.
He kinda freaked out though and told me the week prior we had to leave. He told me i couldnt handle the isolation and his mind was playing tricks on him. I'd listen to creepy pastas and everything it didnt bother me. Until he left then my paranoia kicked in.
The boss told me id have to watch a wider area and it would be a few weeks before his replacement came. For 2 weeks i felt so alone, so scared on a night. One night i could swear i was seeing things. So i left too and left the boss with 2 empty towers. Hey dont judge, unless you've been there. The minds a powerful thing.
woah!
YOU, my dude, you are the best narrator I have ever heard!
I totally agree. Best narrator ever.❤❤❤❤
Hes got the perfect Joker voice
OK Y’all do know that’s not a real person telling the story it’s A.I. The voice and the Man it’s a deep fake listen at the start you can hear the CPU in the voice and look close and You can kind of tell especially if YOU are aware of these deep fakes krazy right
Mr.Ballen has entered the chat.
check out Donovan Dread, he doesn't show his face, but his voice and stories are amazing
Minus the supernatural aspect, fire watch seems like a cool job. If i knew it was a possible job thirty years ago when i was all about the outdoors i would've jumped at the chance. Excellent narration as always man. Thanks for taking the time to improve my day. I appreciate it.
The supernatural aspect is the part that interests me lol
@@daviddaddy yea it's interesting, but if we're talking about doing the job in real life, then supernatural part isn't really relevant because it's not real, like you're gonna get out there and go "where's the skinwalkers?" cuz there's just gonna be bugs lol.
@@thekamotodragonexcept UFOS are real and aren't from this world
@@thekamotodragon I read the book "Been down so long it looks like up to me" (1971 I think?). A free spirit, young guy, really wanted to escape to new reality as fire watch. Really looking forward to it. Next book starts, something like, "I became a fire watch and never have I regretted anything so much." It was mind-breakingly dull, it seems. Just saying, it's not for everyone!
@thekamotodragon Supernatural is absolutely real! 4 years ago, I would have agreed with you. After an experience I had, I can tell you, without a doubt, they ARE real!
THIS IS THE EARLIEST IVE EVER BEEN. The list/rules are my absolute favorite! And you’re my favorite narrator! You read like a normal person with inflection and it makes it so much easier to get immersed. I love your content!!!
I’ve been listening to lighthouse since the early days and I’ve never been disappointed in his story selections and narratives. He’s become my hands down favorite narrator .
Yeah him and Dark Somnium are my favorite Lighthouse makes you feel like a relative telling you a story Somnium makes you feel like you are there both are so good
Anyone who listens to creepy pastas knows to NEVER take a job in a fire lookout tower
This guy should do readings for books like Dean Koontz or Robin Cook. Love those!!!!
I love these fire lookout stories. My childhood home was an 8 mile hike from a fire lookout, i used to go up and visit lightning Bill, until the tower was removed from service, then id just go camping up there.
I feel totally spoiled! Man; visuals and audio are off the chain! Thank you so much for your hard work and time!
HOME RUN! Lighthouse Horror this is just right for the summer & outdoor good times. This going into the deep woods with a list of rules will be a good times. Thank my friends! 🌳👊😎🌳

@@nancyM1313 hi 👋😄Nancy. I hope you have a FANTASTIC WEEKEND!
Rule #1 Keep the great narrations coming.😁Thank you Shine bright.
My favorite narrator!!!!Ever since the first Voodoo Shop Story Ive never looked back lol!! The voices he often uses allow you to envision every person and detail as he speaks. Hes got a gift and Im glad i get to hear it!!!
I freaking love "my job has strange rules" stories! Keep doing great work and hopefully your be able to do this full time soon!
I've been listening to you for over a year. By far you are the best. I love that you've revealed your face. Your voice is so relaxing. It's nice to put a face to the voice.
Whenever I listen to fire tower stories, I find myself thinking of Ranger Gord from The Red Green show, and how we'd all be absolutely doomed if the main character was even slightly as incompetent.
Was outside watching my boy play in the pool, wondering why I felt weird, when I saw that there was a new Lighthouse Horror story. Now I'm in bed with a fever, wondering what the heck is wrong with me, and using this breakdown in my plans to listen while it's new. Been a while since I caught one less than a week old.
As usual, another fantastic story! I actually made myself wait until all my work was done and the house was quiet. Turned off the lights, lit enough candles for a monastary and went total immersion into the story. This is how I LIGHTHOUSE BABY!❤😊
+TheHealing- You're weird enough for your own story...
@@243wayne1 Thank you!
Dude I love rules stories.
Professional rule breaker voiced by dr.creepen is one of my absolute favorites full stop.
Loved this story!! I seriously can’t get enough of these “Rule” stories!!
At first I thought this was a typical real job essay, that made the story even better. Nice.
Whoop whoop lazy Saturday morning here 😁 and nothing better than seeing lighthouse pop up. Coffee and Stephan will do the trick 🙂🙂
Many sleepless nights have been saved by your presentations. I listen again the next day for the rest of the story. Thanks for your efforts...peace♾
I could never come to terms that sci-fi horror stories could be woven with so much thrill. Your narration created HD type of pictures in my mind...great
This needs a continuation! WOW! Not a big fan of wood stories, but this was amazing!! YOU were amazing, LH!
Bro, you gave the rule horror genre class! And you managed to make a V neck and denim shirt look cool! Kudos!
This man has quickly become my favorite narrator, his stories are absolutely amazing! Edit: These illustrations are great, props to whoever created them!
After "all crates are gone" I didnt waste more of my time
@@arnelgelera242your choice. Pretty irrelevant comment tbh, Each to their own, If you didnt like it/enjoy it, that's on you lol. If we are "wasting" our time in your eyes so be it. We enjoy it
I like how you tell this fictional story, like you are reading a book. Very relaxing!
I love the twist in this one!!
The "Strange Rules" series has been one of my favorites that you've done, and it seems to be unique to your channel.
You're my favorite Creepy Pasta/Horror Story narrator Stephen ❤
I enjoy seeing you as you narrate the stories as well :)
Thank you for all you do, hun ❤
Thank you LH, I was 2 seconds from adding that I love your rules and ranger stories on your most recent story (that one was awesome), noticed you had a ranger story I missed. I feel like this one needs some analysis though, because the MC is driving me crazy:
He didn't investigate the other drop boxes of supplies, he said he only had space for one , to carry in his arms or backpack? He's given a random set of supplies and not asked what he needs, wth. After the first drop, when he noticed the other 2 boxes were missing, I'd have grabbed some rope, then lit the flare, tied the 3 boxes together and dragged them back with me (to hell with only taking 1 box of supplies). This sounds like an experiment in mentally surviving Groundhog's Day, and by agreeing to go back to the experiment with the comment of: the only way to get answers is to go back is nonsense. The video he saw of an older version of himself, proves he's been in the experiment longer then he realized and they had purged those memories. He'll never get answers looking into the microscope the wrong way, kind of like Jim Carrey in The Truman Show. If he was happy to be there in the solitude, like Burt Gummer in Tremors, that's cool, but not if he's feeling scared about going back to the ranger station, is a new level of insanity. I'd have taken the money and gone back to my normal life with real people in reality and been left with the feeling I escaped the Void / The Twilight Zone.
Thank you so much Stephen for the awesome pasta. This definitely made my night. Top notch work as always on the narration and loved the story 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Absolutely outstanding as always thanks Stephen!😎
I'm older and grew up listening to radio shows like green hornet and the shadow.
This was fun.
I download these stories and play them at bedtime.. Works like a charm! Thank you for sharing your voice with us.
Very good!! Totally different direction then I thought story would go!!! Thank You to both the narrator & the author!!!
YAAAAYYYYY!!!! I was just looking for a good “park ranger/fire lookout” story last night!!! I actually rewatched one of your old ones! You read my mind!!! Thanks a million!!!
My favorite are the rules stories.
You Mr Lighthouse are always providing. Been looking forward to Hearing tonight's entertainment.
I'm a simp for a Fire Tower lookout. Add in a Strange set of Rules. You've got a Masterpiece
Thanks again Mr Lighthouse
You need to start a "JOB RULES" Playlist been a few of them lately.. love it ❤
What a great way to end the week awesome story and top notch voicework from Lighthouse I can't say how much I love the new videos
I think I'd be spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to carry as much stuff as possible. 😂
Right he didn't even bother checking the 3rd box im the second drop after he watched the first set of supplies disappear.
I LOVE Fire lookout stories!!! (Who doesn’t?) And I LOVE Lighthouse Horror!!!!
Oh man!!! This is awesome. I love when we get 2 in one week❤
I'm not sure what it is about your narrations but you have become my favorite narrator on here right now. I have a few in the top but you're in the penthouse right now!!! My top fave!!! Thank you for all of your hard work to bring us these amazing Narrations!!!
I enjoyed this one. It was very reminiscent of the movie “Moon”. Thank you, Stephen - wonderful narration, as always. 🙂
Every time a rules story comes up, my day is instantly better.
That deer animation was really cool. Watched that a few times on replay.😮
You are my absolute favorite ❤❤❤I always get so happy when I see you have a new video. .
Thank you thank you❤❤❤
Wow! These stories seem so real life when you tell them! I want to ask why would he go back to the tower? Sigh.
See the story telling so good!
SEE ,I love the creepy but semi happy ending stories ...and your voice is my favorite to listen too.....I wish you'd do more fire tower ,list of rules and scifi horror like that
Yall remember the story of the guy who got hired by the lady devil too write these rules these poor unknowing souls have to follow. I take joy knowing I know that guy 😅😂
This channel quickly has become one of my favorite ones on youtube.
The stories are excellent as is the style of narration and the graphical art.
I commented a few months ago about the sound levels being unbalanced sometimes in videos, especially when transitioning scenes. Happy to report that whatever you have done to fix the issue is 100%, really makes a world of difference! As always love the videos, thank you for making them! 👍👍
I don't think I could ever get tired of these strange list of rules stories.
Same here. Honestly feel like the rules pastas are my favorite. I will admit that sometimes it's frustrating to hear them mess up so much, when all they need to do is follow the rules and everything would be ok. Well, usually would be ok. 😅
Looking forward to this! Thank you for the consistent uploads!
Love listening to all the stories and a nice touch to see you narrating it as well
It's awesome finally putting a face to the voice. Thank you for your great stories. One of the few voices that supplies me instant relaxation.
This time loop thing is super scary. Happened to me once when I had too much weed. My guess is that I had anterograde amnesia. Basically, my hippocampi couldn't work, and I couldn't make sense of time, things that just happened seems as they happened before many many times before.
Nothing like waking up and enjoying the morning coffee with these playing. Always spellbound while zoning out and taking in these videos. Perfection.
I'm new to your channel. I watched a few & I really like the way you tell these horrific stories. I don't mean to sound cruel but they definitely need to be told.
I love the imagery & voice switch as well.
Ĝrest job telling this horrific stories.
God bless 👑🙏🕊🌈💕💕
I been listening to creepy pasta channels for years. Some break immersion by reading names aloud at the end, others verbally do sponsored ads even tho i pay for youtube premium, theres one who has sharp high notes at the end so i always wake up but you sir have perfected it! No ads, comforting music, you show names at the end instead of reading them! Thank you so much
Hi can you suggest me some good creepy pastas stories or other horror stories that you found good
@gentletop8910 look up " new fish" its a creepy pasts about some prisoners , tales from the gaststaion is one of my favorites, slendermsn, smile dog and Jack the killer are some classics
I check UTube twice daily for your stories. As soon as I see one posted I click on it. Thank you for the time and effort you put in these tales. Much happiness to you.
"I have a really good sense of direction and i never get lost..." What literally every pro hiker on the missing 411 list said to their peers before embarking on their last expedition ever...
If i've learned anything watching people play exploration video games, it's that even when the landmarks are crystal clear, the areas tiny, and even when they get a FRIGGIN MAP, most people still can't orient themselves AT ALL for the life of them without having a literal GPS. Hell, even that sometimes isn't enough. I truly don't get it.
Now in a massive forest which the sense of scale is just not even a comparison? Yeah people are gonna get lost. Many wars in history have been won due to superior terrain familiarity. The land is merciless to the careless.
That being said there's a lot of other reasons why someone could meet an untimely end while hiking. And besides there are a lot of factors that impact land navigation, including weather, seasons, time of the day and more.
I really liked this story and you tell it so well. I thought the character not taking the money opting to go back instead was insane so there better be part two or I'll have to keep watching this video until I find out why there isn't one.
My job will sometimes be very monotonous but your videos help me stay sane for a little while
Never change ❤️
You always leave us wanting to hear more. The best stories. The best narration. 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🙏
I love me some lighthouse horror stories!
And away we go. Gonna live this. ❤😂😂
Thank you for the release of my everyday mayhem. I find you very pleasing ,to my no one knows.
I hope this becomes a series! I have so many questions and the story could evolve in so many ways.
Thanks for bringing us this story!
You would really enjoy the fiction podcast Tower 4
That was a really good start to what I hope is a story with continuing episodes! And your narration is the best as always, Stephen.
A Great Story! Thanks Lighthouse for the all the work you do.
Fantastic story, excellent narration and great visuals! A big thank you from the Netherlands
Another incredible story! I listen to these nearly each evening now and love it. Outstanding
I'm excited for 27mins of great story telling! ty LH!
Thankyou so much Stephen for all the hard work you put into these narrations! You are one of the best! Also what an awesome twist on a rules/fire lookout story, great concept when you think about and entirely possible! 😅 Thanks again! ❤
I just discovered this channel, and am thoroughly enjoying the stories! Thank you for the amazing content and sharing your passion and talent.
Also, how are the videos with you narrating feeling? Is it more comfortable? I absolutely love it, mixed with animations it's really, really good. I want to thank your friends and family who encouraged you to come out of your comfort zone and get in front of the camera. Thank you for even trying it!... and get going on that merch!!! I would love to see a mug/tumbler, so I can bring my coffee to work 😊
“Odd they would hire somebody who doesn’t speak the local language.”
I still write personal journals and notes in Russian, but I speak perfectly good English and live in America, am I the only who thinks that detail is weird? He definitely spoke English.
You have a talent for story telling. I enjoyed this one. 😊
Bubba this deserves a part 2…. Good stuff!
I get so excited when I see a new story has dropped. I stop everything and watch. Thank you again for the awesome entertainment.
Yea you arent putting me out in nowhere like that and "taking away" my service pistol, not happening.
Great place for a ham radio, hf for long range on voice and morse code for chats around US and overseas. Plus vhf- fm for more local - good half of state range from hams, weather stations besides offical comms.
Great story! Love your narration. 😊
Shooting off flares in a forest? No wonder they needed fire lookouts…..
I got a job writing rulebooks. It has a STRANGE list of RULES
lol
Wow, another great story and I hope there's a continuation, a sequel perhaps. Thank you!
I’m all for that job. It’s cool that there’s all these horror tales about being a ranger, but that’s my dream job and unfortunately where I live you have to be family or close friends to land one of those spots. I doubt there’s anything crazy out there, but there’s plenty of real animals to enjoy watching
Such a great story, simple rules but unique story ✨
Fascinating! Excellent… I actually thought it was based on a true story at first. Unbelievably captivating story such a treat.
I confess. I would've opened that safe on day one.... Just found this channel and fell in love
Excellent work! I was captivated the entire time. I don't know who you are or what I just listened to, but it was good. Thanks!
This reminds me of an old radio broadcast before TV. I think it was called "Suspense Theater". Love this!
Wow. This is so cool. I've always liked your voice and am used to the older vids. The editing and visuals added to this one are a great touch.
Great story as usual. These rules pastas are my favorite. And honestly i feel like this one could use a sequel. I want to know more about the group behind it and if he actually finds out whats actually going on there. I need more 😩😅 someone needs to make a series and each episode coild be a different one of these rules creepy pastas. If they stuck to the source material, i feel like it could be awesome. Hell, at this point do cgi or something. Doesnt have to be live action. Cgi would prolly even be better.
What kind of jackass would leave such vague, unhelpful rules for a job with such specific and heavy requirements?? Imagine if you enlisted in the military, but instead of bootcamp and MOS school, they just dropped you off in some country with a rifle a list of rules like "ONLY fire upon the ENEMY" with no description of who the "enemy" is or when or how you might encounter them. Then, twice a week, they just magically drop off a container of ammo and MREs without ANY actual contact with you, but they're clearly still there because after you take some supplies briefly step away to drop them off THEY RUSH IN, GRAB THE CONTAINER, AND RUSH OFF before you can make any form of contact and ask even a single useful question.
Seriously, incredibly obnoxious and unnecessarily irresponsible.
Also, it's a good thing they give you a radio so they can completely ignore you.
Wow, brilliant, really loved this story, so much better with the graphics, and told so well 👍
