I’m an opera singer, and I’d oftentimes cut thru the local cemetery to avoid this 90 degree turn in the highway out in the country where I live, because a guy was killed whilst walking on that turn. I usually do some singing when I walk since it’s the country, and it’s just fun for me. One day, the people who lived about 200 meters from the cemetery saw me walking out with my dog and singing, and they said to me, “Whew! We thought the cemetery was haunted, because we kept hearing this voice singing in the cemetery everyday but never saw a person in there. We’re so glad it’s not actually a ghost!” 😂

It feels like in a lot of these someone gets a set of rules saying while working here, some of these might happen and if you work here long enough probably all will. No gargoyles are very occult, they don't guard anything - on the contrary, they attract demons like all occult objects and practices. You must know that hauntings, ghosts, aliens, BF and the likes are demons who can appear in any form in order to distract humans from the living GOD. Born again Christians have the authority to rebuke them in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! How to become born again? Thank JESUS for paying for your sins on the cross and HIS resurrection on the 3rd day!!! It must come from the bottom of your heart and don't forget, JESUS is GOD, see John 1! Don't give demons a foothold and don't contact them, the Bible strictly forbids occultism and spiritism. Roman catholic exorcism only make things worse (the Vatican is the whore of Babylon from Revelation 17 and 18, they have nothing to do with biblical Christianity!) Please do your own research on occult practices and items that attract demons and destroy them.

In Europe we visited a simple cemetery. There was a beautiful small cottage with windows. Above the door were two photographs, one of a young woman and the other young man. Looking inside one window, there were paneled walks with needlepoint pictures, a settee with small cushions, the polished wooden floor had a lovely area rug. A dining table set with dinnerware and fine cups, unlit candles in candle holders, and a big bouquet of fresh flowers. It looked like a quaint tea room. I asked my European friend what was this for. Was it a small bistro? Or a visitors' room? She said it was for the deceased. The deceased were the ones whose portraits and names were above the outside door. I said, what, for a wake? She said, no, they were buried here in the cemetery, and this was for their ghosts. They were double suicides, and this cottage was their special home so they will stay here and not haunt their families or other places.
    It was beautiful, but spooky.

Okay, i have a theory about the Gargoyles. I think that they are actually friendly & helpful but they are unable to move if anyone living looks at them. Marcus may have presented the rules in a way that the main character would still follow them because your more likely to keep to the rules & not look at them if you believe they will hurt you if you do look as opposed to if Marcus said the Gargoyles are harmless & helpful to you, but can't move if you look at them.

Something like "The gate must be locked at 8pm" or "Don't answer the phone." That adds some believability to them and it makes sense why someone would follow them. Most other stories have these ridiculous rules that no one in their right mind would believe or follow. It will be like, "Rule 1: the walls ooze blood at midnight, hit the griddy to make it stop. It’s a greater show of talent if a writer can create an intelligent character yet simultaneously engineer a situation to where the horror can still happen and what happens when the rules are broken that doesn’t feel like a a random act of of god where the writer is overtly smiting the protagonist. It’s a cop-out imo to have the protagonist just be stupid or needlessly a rebel just for kicks.

I used to work graveyard shift security alone at a city electric company scrap yard and machine shop in a tiny shack in the worst area of my city and it freaked me out and I have been in combat and I was armed on this job but it had people trying to steal copper regularly and gang bangers taking pot shots in the area. Anytime I heard gunshots or multiple people broke in to steal copper I would call police and hide in the bathroom that was attached to the main building and the only secure room I had a key to and I would lock myself in until police showed up. The security shack was thin wood and anyone could get in but the bathroom was a solid brick building so I did what I had to do.

I always saw a crowded cemetery and if my cousin or brothers were playing, if I mention seeing people they would run. I never understood why they ran until I was older. I was seeing the dead that they could not see, to me they looked like normal living people. None looked scary or spooky. The only thing was that each one stayed by a grave and never moved away from it.

There is such a thing as what we call familiar or monitoring spirits… The spirits were attached to the person who is deceased many of them sometimes imitate the one they were attached to or lived inside of and this is why people think they see their dead relative sometimes because it’s a monitoring or familiar spirit. They are always seeking another person to attach to

@@adelerodriguez2432 yes what I’ve come to learn is that there are what is known as “monitoring”or “familiar” spirits. They are actually attached to the deceased while they are alive and then when the person they are attached to dies they are looking for another host.
There are various and simple prayers that one can say to bless their home or Bldg., Place of business- in this case. If your relative is a believer in Christ she could say something like: “in the name and in the power of Jesus Christ and with power in the blood of Jesus Christ I command all monitoring and familiar spirits, and all unclean spirits to go straight to the feet of Jesus Christ for Christ to deal with as HE will in Jesus name I decree and I declare that I am covered in the blood of Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet therefore no weapon formed against me will prosper because greater is HE that lives inside of me than he that is in this world. “ in the name of Jesus Christ, I Command any evil and unclean spirit out, away from, and off of me in Jesus name”
…and then ask father God in Jesus name to further bless this place … That “no wicked evil or deceptive spirit may linger in this place, Jesus name.”
Then, Replace whatever has left you or your building, home or place of business - “with the light & the love, the joy and the peace of the Holy Spirit, I cover all the walls ceilings floors doors windows mirrors carpeting, furniture, electric, electronic, computerized devices, basement, closets, attic and even your prayers - in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.”
You can use anointing oils to place small crosses on doors, doorways, windows. There are prayers you could look up to consecrate and bless Olive oil for example, there are Christian prayers that you can look up to eliminate deceptive spirits pray these often and even when you go to a hotel room or a guest room someplace to bless it because we don’t know what has gone on in these places before hand and what is lingering. This is not superstitious this is just truth read Ephesians 6:10-18 put on the full armor of God every single day.
BTW, I pray the full armor of god prayer over me every day. Be blessed.

    • @LeaMessenger
      @LeaMessenger 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@adelerodriguez2432 That is very wise of her to do that! She may also use specific wording if she chooses to ward them off that would keep her safe, in general…[as it would keep any of us safe in this crazy world we are living in now in 2024!]
If one is connected with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit here is a sample prayer to pray audibly even if in a whisper in faith of course: “in The Mighty and Holy Name & in The power of Jesus Christ’s Blood, I command all evil, unclean, monitoring and familiar spirits to leave this place right now, in Jesus name! I command all evil, unclean, monitoring unfamiliar spirits to get out of here, going straight to the feet of Jesus Christ for Him to deal with as HE will!
‘I cover my self now in the blood of Christ from the top of my head, to the soles of my feet. I cover all the walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, mirrors, carpeting, furniture, electrical, electronic and computerized equipment and devices in Jesus name. I cover my health of mind body and spirit with the blood of Christ, I cover my food and drink supplements and medication‘s, I cover the air that I breathe the prayers that I pray, and all my personal belongings in the blood of Christ I cover my travels and communications in the mighty blood of Jesus Christ-- therefore no weapon formed against me will prosper because greater is HE that lives in me… Than he that lives in this world.”
“In Jesus name I decree that Jesus Christ & The Advocate/ Holy Spirit HE gave to me, are living in me and through me.
I trust in Jesus Christ and THE set apart spirit/holy spirit… HIS grace high IS sufficient for me, in Jesus name I decree this, amen.”
Then, turn to The Father, Yahweh, and thank Him for everything HE has provided for you& HIS son Jesus Christ has done for you (&for all of us l, while on the cross.)
BTW, Jesus Christ was beaten and flogged so severely that his organs were exposed much blood loss was there and then there was a poisonous crown of thorns imbedded into his skull where He was meant to carry a heavy wooden cross on His back - walking uphill to Calvary where He was then nailed to a cross--His feet and wrists.
No mortal human being would have survived the floggings and beatings let alone the rest of that… HE is THE sacrificial lamb of Yahweh/God who takes away the sins of this world-for you and me --just for us turning to Christ and repenting, believing, surrendering, and asking for salvation into eternity with Christ into THE kingdom where there will be no more pain, sadness, struggles, suffering, grief, lack, losses and negativity … In His kingdom we call heaven, the most beautiful colors we’ve never seen before, the most beautiful music and singing we’ve never heard before, the most immense Joy peace and love we’ve never experienced before and then some… Why would people reject Christ knowing this? But yet they do.
If any questions read in the New Testament the chapter of John especially chapters 3 and 14. 1Corinthians 15, Ephesians 2, Ephesians 6:10-18, Matthew 7, Romans 10:9-12. If you profess with your mouth that Jesus Christ I S Lord and ask Christ into your heart & life, confessing that you are a sinner (because we all are none of us are perfect)
… If you believe what it says because it is written that there were over 500 witnesses of Christ’s resurrection from the dead …ask Jesus Christ also for baptism of Holy Spirit fire and you will be saved it has nothing to do with religion, church, synagogue or temple no dogma necessary just relationship --be saved friend. Time is running short… all prophecies have come into fruition…. It’s only a question of time for the departure a.k.a. the rapture and followed by those left behind to experience a seven-year tribulation.. It will be hell on earth I’m sorry to say and I keep praying for them, please.
Put on the full armor of God daily you can Google that or look into Ephesians 6:10-18. Thank you for reading this and I pray that you are saved.

Spent the night alone in a cemetery out on a dirt road in rural Alabama. Was a dare, I was 18 or 19. Freaking pitch black most of the night until a very late moon. Biggest concern I had was someone coming back for me. No cell phones for most people in 1990-91. Lots of insect noise, dont remember any big animal noise. Didn't see or hear any ghost, couldn't see it anyway it was so dark. I drank a couple beers and slept. Woke up with some moonlight and dozed some more. Was bored. Got picked up at 5am ish. Just before sun came up.
I will say I stayed on the outside edge of the cemetery. Near where the trees started. About 50 yards from the dirt road. Were maybe 15-20 gravestones there. All seemed to be 50's 60's if I recall correctly. But I didn't want to sleep "on top" of someone's grave, was too disrespectful. So I always stayed just outside of it by around 10 yards.
No ghosts or spirits or demons or supernatural stuff.

    List of rules for cemeteries:
    1. Keep the living out.
    2. Keep the dead in.

There it is! I think of that song “It’s a beautiful morning!” Except I would change the word to “EVENING” instead morning since it’s nighttime. That’s we feel EVERY time you post Lighthouse Horror! Thank you my friend! 🪦👊😎🪦

Awesome story! I love stories about "strange lists of rules"!

  • @TboneWTF
    @TboneWTF 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

I have a few thoughts on this story:
1- If the gates are to remain closed until day light than how are you to remove trespassers?
2- If your only job was to lock the gate why not lock it from the outside and leave until morning?
3- It was irresponsible of you not to get Marcus' cell phone number in the event you had any questions.
4- You said Marcus was retiring. For $2000 per night you should have made arrangements to take over his position.

Same. I have 1 exception and it's that fire tower story. Imagine having a mangled woman laying under your bed and you just have to lay there 😰

@@Observer_Decayif thats the same firetower story that i know, i think the rules would still be pointless because of the last one. The one that says the other watcher lies
If its not, may i know the title? Id like to give it a listen!

This reminds me of a fun fact that I read somewhere. Old burial places were established by sacrificing a person and burying them in the central plot so that their soul could linger as the guardian spirit of the new cemetery.
