Are these "instant-on" on power up? What I am wonder is, since they do not have DMX, can I power them off of a DMX dimmer pack? Do you think, if I did that, could I get immediate output from the laser when I would switch on the DMX dimmer pack channel? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer!
Wow.. that looks nice.. In IL, you can't point lasers at people or the cockpit of an airplane, so the side of a building would be fine. My question is, 1) what state is the laser in when power is first connected (Last setting, or some default) and 2) how does the black out work.. Does it turn off the laser, or just cover it? I really like this effect. I know in the vid you said not to project it outside, but is it bad to project it on to an outdoor building, rather then just into the open? I have seen it done once instead of Christmas lights and thought it would be a great idea for my house. The unit was inside a car (assuming so no one would take it) and projected through the window onto the house. Thanks for any info.
Nice effect Brian. Light .6kg and selling for about $90 on ebay. What I like about this also is the nice remote with some pretty cool functions so you can mix up the effects. Wish more lights had these . Good to see you in stand up mode :) Video production is at a phenomenal rate. American DJ need to send you a camera crew :)
Which would you recommend for a home production studio? the Micro Star or the Micro Galaxian? I want the lights to give the music life...i already have the ADJ Aggressor TRI LED light and just wanna add 1 of these lasers to it.. thanks in advance! great videos!

im 10 and have galaxian 3d, min spot, x-scan, fusion bar 4,etc....i cant understand dmx....i have the chauvet obey 3 and that works ok but i want to do real dmx
Hey Brian are you ever concerned with the liability attached to the use of lasers at your gigs? Crowd scanning with lasers of >5mW is strictly prohibited in the U.S. I believe the Micro Star is rated at 110mW total. Just curious.
I just got one of these used off eBay for under $30. I really like it. It's fine for a house party or small dance area. You might want 2 if you had a decent size gig to do. Light weight & compact. Radio remote is nice so you don't have to be right in front of it. It does have a wall wart transformer for a power supply so keep that in mind. Not a deal breaker for me.

I was reading a federal law stating they are only to be used 9feet off the ground and pointed toward a ceiling or side wall. Never into the eyes. Do you know anything about this? Thanks djmcrod
