@naveen4nse I disagree, Naveen. I've been using these since they came out and had Euro versions of them before that. You have 3 basic lighting effects 1 - Arial: These look best going thru the air with fog or haze 2 - Projection: These look best hitting a surface 3 - Special FX: These can be either Arial or Projection I'd classify Galaxians as projection effects which look really nice on anything they hit, but not so intiresting while going thru the air.
the problem Brian with these lasers is you do not see any beams on the dance floor without haze or fog. I have two of the ADJ Galaxian 3d lasers with red and green lasers - they look great on the ceiling but only look good on the dance floor with fog effects
@briansredd - Brian - I do agree with you that the galaxian 3d is best as a projection light - I think it looks great on the ceiling but I do not think it looks good on the dance floor
I really like the look of this laser, having two of them on my rig would look great. What's the life of them and how long are you meant to keep them on for?
wow it's basically the same thing that has been on ebay for 25 dollars forever and is instead of blue painted green and ouch a price of 99 dollars compared to the cheap 25 so whats the deal with that. can American Dj even make that product legaly as it already has a copyright or did they buy out the company that made them alltogether? and why is American Dj makeing cheaper products like this laser and some of their other products? Believe me I love AMDJ but I don't like their recent choices.
I just ordered one, but when I read all the safety warnings in the user manual I am a bit nervous about using it. I had planned to us it under a scrim king table cable, but it would be pointing at the audience, so perhaps this is not such a good idea?
Hello, I am considering getting the Micro. 2 questions 1, is there an on/off limit for it to cool, as with some dj lights, or can I just leave it on? 2, Would this work to put on a light rack or something only about 8ft or so off the ground? I am starting up a dj service and dont have much. I imagine I'll just rig up some way to get it somewhat elevated and point it at the dance floor. Im thinking wedding receptions etc. Thanks for the video!
@Graymanz And I might add, its my ONLY light that i have, and it definitely does the job just fine. and the remote control is awesome for when i want to change the color for certain build ups or break downs...Definitely worth your money like i said before.
Well it's been a while on a light review. Well worth the wait great effect. I have a cheap micro laser star frm china and does pretty much the same thing. The quality is definitly lacking this little baby is what I've been waiting for! Thanks brian
Hey, I was wondering how you would describe the visibility of the laser in a rather bright environment (200 - 400 lux)? Do you think the laser is visible on a wall, 10 meter away? It's for a school project... Thanks!
ive got a star cluster type laser, payed £99 for it. i know someone who wants one the same as mine. i might sell mine to him so i can get the micro galaxian as my laser hasnt got a remote control, what do u think?
@aumMW91 Those are generally illegal in the states- you'll need a variance for anything above 4.9 mW. I think brian has some videos discussing in detail the legality of using higher powered lasers in the states.
how much does the original galaxian cost nowadays? I'm looking for a laser light system but something cheap cos I'm just a student on a tight budget lol. Any idea about the china made ones you can find on Amazon for about $35?
I have had endless people approach me at my Christmas banquets asking me about my Galaxian. They love the effect it puts on the ceiling....Both of these are mandatory for me at Christmas events. Nice vid Bri.
Can you see the full beams of the lasers at one point on the mini? Or do you need fog? Thank you very much and please reply asap because I need for school theatre. Thanks!
I bought this thing like 4 days ago....and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!! it is so bright, and its distance is great. Definately worth the money, it is such a good light.
Hi Brian when i look at pictures of this laser i only see one aperture for beams to come out of so does both red and green come out from the same one or what ?
tell ya what if your a weed smoker and looking to trip out this thing is shit hot got mine today and omg, the beams in slow mo are awesome let alone the sapce effect
great video! Explained the remote which I had been dying to see what it does! Thanks a million Brian!

@fagAshLil1234 Yeah, I saw some new ones that I'd like to pick up when I was at Chicago's Ikea on Friday. Some way cool London murals
@aarons102 it's actually too small for a regular power cable so yes, it has a power transformer box wall wart thingy
@DudasMiska I ran them side by side. I think they are the same or close enough to the same
@dadge35 Part of the reason is that everyone in the house is asleep.. HA!

@aumMW91 I'm seeing the original for $299

Price point is great for beginners in the laser world. And the steel construction is nice too.
~DJ Bo~
Brian, can you do a side by side comparison of the micro Galaxian 1 and the micro Galaxian 2???
@Graymanz

whats the life time ? how long does it last.. is there an our of usage rating
Now where have i heard "Practice and enjoy" before? You don't sound very British either :D Excellent review though! Was helpful.
I saw one of these in action last night at a party! Great effect & spread for such a small laser! Can't wait to get mine!!!!!!!
tell ya what if your a weed smoker and looking to trip out this thing
is shit hot got mine today and omg, the beams in slow mo are awesome let alone the sapce effect
We use 3 of these for our live shows - search for "Riversyde". We have a fog machine running too so it looks incredible!
ACTUALLY WITH WOULD BE NICE UNDER A SPEAKER ON A TRIPOD. KIND OF A HIDDEN THING BUT WOULD CREATE NICE EFFECT.
NOT BAD!
awww its sooo cute, does it fit in an envelope :P post it to me :P plz
that is cool
Mention is that mini is not DMX. Anyways...love your videos man. Thanks for all your help.
Sweet video bro!

That is so f'n cool. I have to get one or maybe 2.Cool vid.

Im thinking maybe the Micro star instead. Same questions apply. Thanks
@pcALLSTAR Is there a light that doesn't look good with some fog?

$99 is the selling point
Does it have a regular power core or one of those adapter boxes?
If it was DMX...maybe I'd pick two up.
