I went with something I haven’t done before this spawn… I breed a fm red spade tail with a m green mahachai. The fry are now 2.5 months old and there red is only showing on their heads and halfway down fins and the color of my mahachi is starting to come through on the upper portion of their fins and on their bodies
that makes so much sense about the color layers because I have a male Betta that has a black body but then he has a real shiny (metallic) patch on top of it

Yes, it’s always the case. Achieving desired color and quality is a real challenge. Asian breeders are so successful because they know it takes time and breed same stain for multiple generations to achieve quality.
Bro while pairing betta , male betta builds bubble nests. By making many bubble nests,male betta will become stress or not
and what if we breed double tail male and nemo candy female ,what tail type will be the results in fries .
Making bubblenest is their natural habit. It’s not gonna stress them much unless it’s get destroyed by waterflow frequently. You will get mor double tails than candy or plakat.
I've seen blue dragon on plakat. One thing I haven't seen is blue galaxy. Blue body and white cover. I notice people are trying to produce blue galaxy, but it looks like all that's been produced have been blue dot dot. Lmk if you guys see one cause that's what I'm looking for in my breeding project.
I was so curious about this, color-wise how it turns out. Punnets square and all. I have the cutest little (cambodian?: absence of black, lighter body than fins) double tail making his bubble nest. how do you make sure your filtration doesn’t destroy the bubble nest? And how do you clean the aquarium without messing up his bubble nest?
If you are planning for breeding. Keep the filter off for first 4 days, till frys free swimming. If it’s only male tank, lower the filter water flow, add big plants like Amazon sword or tall ornament to spilt the flow. This will help betta to find, space where low flow rate to build bubbles.

Yes, that’s right. If you breed betta fish and see them grow.. you will able to see their transitions of layers.

Hey, what if I breed black melano male ohm with Royal Blue female ohm? How the frys will look
I will attempt to answer your question but I'm not a professional. Firstly only melano males are fertile. What this means is you can only get melano offsprings from 2 breeding methods.
1. Melano male x melano geno female. (Higher melano % results )
2. F1 siblings inbred which has melano father. (25% results)
All the results are based on fry survival. Also from my experiences the slower growers were melano over there faster growing siblings. But results can vary depending on stock used.
Royal blue is the blending combination of 2 separate colors steel blue and turquoise blue. When breeding royal blue x royal blue you get all 3 colors of blue. Royal, steel and turquoise.
Melano black is highly recessive and often crossed with one of the blue types to create melano black. Depending on the color irids on the melano male when breed to royal blue female youll get either some variations of blue types and some multi bicolor.
You'll only see black if royal blue female carries recessive melano black.
What I've mentioned is based on my experiences and from pure lines. If your stock is from varied genetics your results will be similar and vary as well.

Dumbo is a recessive gene so the fry will most likely show veiltail
Veiltail will be their dominant trait and dumbo gene as recessive(Ll)

Many will be blue. But based on their recessive carrier. Also you will get some blue on fire which is mixed color.
