Thank you for this video! I just have a quick question, do you know if the airbag could still deploy even with the battery disconnected? I’ve read some forums that say the airbags hold a charge in case the battery gets damaged in a collision?
I am not sure to be honest, I have always been told to remove battery terminal and wait 10 minutes. I have worked with airbags over the years, never found a battery in one nor in the airbag control unit, so not sure where it would get the power it needs to trigger from. What does catch people out is that some models have two batteries and both must be disconnected.
Is it the same on the E220 w213 model as im trying to replace the switch panels TIA
