I am curious about your copy of Dracula and whether you know anything about the cover variations? My copy, like most of the images online has red on the cover, whereas yours is missing the red. Do you know if this is a misprint, or if it is a variation of the cover? (perhaps due to a specific print run or other significant reason)
I have become obsessed with collecting the B&N books since receiving one as a present (I have purchased 5 this week alone!)
The Beauty and the Beast and The Snow Queen and other winter tales books are marvelous. I would really like to have them. The Wizard of Oz is also stunning.

I've JUST started my leather bound collection.. I started with An Encyclopedia of Tolkien by David Day, it's a Canterbury Classic, beautiful book with ribbon book mark and golden gilded pages.. I have now an addiction lol, I have The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection in one volume by Barnes and Noble in the mail now it will be here tomorrow, over 1000 pages with all four novels and 56 short stories.. My next purchase will be the Arabian Nights B&N Leather Bound, can't wait... I've actually had to start my whole book collection over bc I sadly lost a lot of books in a house fire about 10 years ago.. Although it's a sad thing its given me the opportunity to start a really nice collection so.. silver linings lol
I want to get that Sherlock Holmes edition. I have an entire shelf dedicated to Sherlock on one of my bookcases because of how much I adore the stories. I mean, it might look out of place on my shelves since I only have the paperbacks from Arcturus in comparison to such a beautiful book like the B&N edition- but it is a stunning copy and I adore Sherlock.
I take it that your books arrived by now. How do they look on your shelves? Did the books arrive in good condition, do they hold up? I'm always worried buying books online so I want to make sure that they are good quality before I splurge money on them. In my country, these B&N leatherbounds cost a small fortune to buy- even when you buy secondhand depending upon the book seller.
Also, I'm so sad that you lost everything to a house fire. That's horrible. However, at the same time, I'm glad you made it out and that you're okay. Have you gone to see a counsellor to help you with the trauma? One of my neighbours down the road from me lost everything in a house fire. They are still in therapy to get over the trauma and fear they have- and they suffered through this for about the same time.
I've slowly started collecting these as I read the big classics I'm scared of (i.e. I treated myself to War and Peace once I finished it last year and I wanna do the same with The Count of Monte Cristo!) so this was so fun to watch and see all the books I'm probably going to buy myself in the future lol

@@SparklesBooks Not sure if you have other editions of classics, but do you have recommendations for any paperback editions of classics? I haven't watched many of your videos so don't know if you did bookshelf tours- but I am curious to know if you have other collections of classics that you can't find in the leatherbound editions?
For example, I have many classics from Oxford, Penguin, and Wordsworth... and a lot of Arcturus Publishing LTD classics. The latter of which are incredibly cheap where I live whereas the other three can be quite expensive unless you're buying secondhand. So, I'm curious to know if you have any paperback editions of classics that you've been collecting that are worth the money?

It really depends, I read the Dracula one in a week but some of the other books are really long 😊

love your collection! I just added the beautiful blue Jane Austen one to my collection but I noticed the oval part of yours is not blue foil. I'm not really a fan of the blue foil because it seems like its chipping off. Where did you purchase yours? I got mines from B&N. Not sure if they changed the look to blue foil now. I think yours looks nicer =)
I've heard sometimes that you can get very shoddy copies of these books if you're buying them online. One of my friends collects these editions for her personal library and found that some book collectors aren't truthful about the condition of the book they are selling as long as they get a lot of money for it. I've seen these books being sold for upwards to $200 CAD depending on edition.

Interesting video. Are the two King Arthur books the same with just a different title or does each tell a different story?
The first King Arthur is from the children’s collection so it appears to be a less intense version of the King Arthur in black from an adult collection 😊
@karen t King Arthur and the Knights is somewhat of a retelling of Le Morte D’Arthur (my second favourite Arthurian legend book, the first being The Once & Future King)
These books are absolutely beautiful. However, in my country, they are extremely expensive unless you manage to find them secondhand, and even then they can be extremely expensive. I don't have these books but I do have a few Folio Society editions that I managed to find very cheap at a secondhand bookshop- so these editions look just as bulky. Are the Barnes and Noble and Canterbury leatherbounds readable or are they meant for show?
I've heard that sometimes their binding cracks which causes the pages to fall out. Just wondering if you've had any negative experiences when reading these books? They are such gorgeous editions and I'm interested in getting a few that you have shown- but I don't want to spend so much money on a beautiful book that breaks or something.

In my experience, the barnes and noble editions are hardier and better equipped for reading than the Canterbury books, they tend to be easier to damage.

I started my collection of this books with the Jules Verne seven novel collection it has a red cover. It’s a beautiful book I didn’t see it in your collection. I have a few others as well but my first one was the Jules Verne. I’m still trying to finish it I’m on the fourth story.
I got my first one yesterday for Christmas (Alice adventures in wonderland and other stories (the blue one)) and bought three more today (beauty and the beast, classic horror and cuthulu) and I NEED the wizard of oz one and the wicked one!! Thank you for making this video

A lovely collection. I have just got my first 2 barnes noble editions , Greys Anatomy and Arabian Nights. Although they are at present on the top of my wardrobe waiting to be wrapped up for my Christmas by me wife. So won't get them till December 25th.

Is Arabian Nights well edited? It's certainly gorgeous, but I read someone complaining about many miss spellings and mistakes.
