Awesome interview, Maggie is one of Australia' many and most iconic actresses. Yes her character of Joan the freak Ferguson made her a huge star and as she says was a role of she of which she only played for over 4 years in a career spanning some nearly 40 years . Thanks to the likes of dvd, you tube and re runs of the show she will be a hit for many years to come and will always be known for that great character.
I just love her work. I will admit back in the 80's when it was aired i was a young teenager, and it took till my 20's before i accepted Maggie lovingly into my life....lol...she played the part of 'The Freak' so well i just had a hard time separating the two.
I would love to meet Maggie Kirkpatrick. She's such a sweet person in real life. She an amazing lady. She's an Amazing actress. She's got to be one of Australia's best actress of all time. I was only baby. Didn't watch cell block h till I was 11 years old. I always remember her in Betty's Bunch. It was Betty's bunch l first sore her in. So as l sore her remember thinking "She's Betty". But I like her in prisoner cell block h. She played Joan Ferguson perfect. I couldn't imagine anybody playing that part. She did an amazing job. She's still one of the best actors that's out there. She's a legend ✌🏼️😎🙂
i must admit she was best actress in prison movie (Joan Ferguson) entertaining when she plays her part, always makes me laugh ..... she is the best player in the film thumbs up for Maggie and keep the good work good women
