- Maggie's first guest appearance in Home & Away is as Aunty Jean to Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons). Emily also co-starred with Maggie in Richmond Hill, the appearance also sees an on screen reunion with Ray Meagher, last playing opposite Maggie six years earlier as Ernest Craven in PCBH.
She is awesome. Maggie could play any role.
She was well liked whatever character she played, good or bad.

So, it looks like The Freak was released from Prison, under a new alias and Ernest Craven survived the stabbing and both relocated.
Ray Meagher (pronounced Marr) played three different roles in Prisoner - and died in all of them!
Maggie Kirkpatrick & Emily Symons again crossing paths in Home & Away as they were regular & original cast members of Richmond Hill when both of these shows premiered three years earlier.
I remember this., I did like both of these 2 in Richmond Hill
Marilyn Chambers! What a teenage dream she was! Forgot The Freak was her aunt, but seeing this again brought it all back to me. Nice to see her and Craven letting bygones be bygones and not even mentioning their past set-to's, haha!
Marilyn is one of the most underrated beautiful women on home and away, forget the ditzy personality she really is gorgeous, even though she dresses conservatively.
Yet again another gem!
Something Home and Away really needs to do is bring back old characters like this. Marilyn has been back in the show for 12 years now and in that time Jean, or even Donald Fisher could have made a return. I’m sure if Maggie Kirkpatrick was asked she would make another appearance.

I really like home and away back then and I really like Maggie in Prisoner the year 1982.

This was the golden period where you get a good laugh out the show. Nowadays it tries too hard to be some cop or medical show.

many tried to get rid of the freak, steve faulkner was the first to lose his job, followed by the ginger screw, then Len Murphy ended up the worst off getting framed and sent behind the bars, many a person had evidence but she either got hold of it and destroyed it or it got burnt in the great wentworth fire along with the beautiful barbara fields, But when she met Alf alias Ernest Craven i thought she had met her match but he had too many enemies to survive his fight with Joan

neighbours and home and away are dead now.....too many crap story lines and pretty boy teens and jersey shore types overran and killed both shows years and years ago.....
Home and Away has actually been pretty darn good as of late, as a huge fan of the 80s and 90s eps of Home and Away, the 2018/2019 season has been pretty interesting.

Home and Away in its original format was awesome. Now its just a load of rubbish with rubbish actors and story lines.
Joan Ferguson shame prisoner didint cary on see what happens to the freak 86 onwards dose she get her job back clear the chargers we never know
I can't see how the charges would be cleared she was caught red handed, whether it was a set up or not, I think it's clear she was finished as an officer. But would be interesting to see what happened next.
Hahaha...the freak has escaped from WA,and Craven has been resurrected from the dead!!...this time,they wont be partners in crime,because Craven has mutated into nice guy Alf lol
