That’s great but I’m a ball main almost to diamond and I’m trying really hard to learn double boop after the nerf, I already know how to do most tech like wall jump and use it in combat but I’ve been really wondering if there is like a workshop I can do to learn the double boop like he uses in this vid?

At first, I taught ball was a shit feeding character. I was playing monkey and rein I was having fun but i didn’t really climbed with them because they need a lot of heals and ressources (things that you don’t have in silver: thanks dps baptistes). I was stuck in my rank and started to not having fun playing overwatch, so I looked forward and considered playing hog or ball. These are selfish and don’t require a team to pop off, so I decided to go with the character that looked fun. I started playing ball and was feeding my brains out so I looked up some content to get better at him and thanks to you and yeatle, I climbed to gold in 2 days and Im finally back at enjoying the best videogame that exists. Thank you for the amazing content that you put at our disposition!

A year later and these tricks still hold up. I just wish there was more content on your channel at this point, and I hope you go back to uploading. I found the guide to be extremely well made, and I got noticeable and immediate improvement, and hope you return someday. The entire video was super engaging, and this is the ball guide I'd recommend to anyone starting new on the hero.
King’s Row is one of my favorite maps as someone who exclusively plays Hampter. The confined high-walled alleyways with mean lots of good boops & slams. The final objective is a good opportunity for spin-to-win clutches.

I know this comment is super late but I just wanted to compliment you on your explanations. I recently started playing overwatch and initially chose the hamster because he's cute, but really like his dynamic style now. Problem is... I'm not great at games in general so I knew I wasn't using him to his full potential. Thanks to your guide I now understand some options better and won't annoy my team as much xD

As a rein "main" formerly a 1 trick, im watching another ball guide so i guess i should go practice ball just to have as a backup hero Just finished watching, now time to go play more rein lol
3:23 Lesser known movespeed tip: All characters move forwards at 5.5 meters per second, apart from genji and tracer who move at 6 m/s. When moving directly backwards movespeed is at 90%, which is 4.95 for most characters. For genji and tracer that is 5.4 m/s backwards. That is why it always feels like genji and tracer outruns you, it is because they are. They can run after you BACKWARDS and not lose much ground. This means that if you need to run away from a character at all costs, especially genji or tracer, do not look in their direction. Keep your back towards them when running away if you're not gonna get any value from dealing damage.

48:40 also junkrat's trap hitbox is kinda messed up atm and with ball's huge hitbox it's super easy to get trapped. Destroying traps while in fireball or using piledrive is possible but from my experience it's most of the time a risk based on luck and how's the game feeling about it. Sometimes you may just piledrive into a trap without destroying it which will feel very unfair.

Here are some buffs/changes I hope all has in overwatch 2. -piledriver has no cooldown, the amount of times you can use piledriver depends on where you are. -piledriver does 100- 130 damage. Piledriver does 130 damage if the character has over 80% health, but any lower than that it does the regular 100 damage. - swinging into an enemy has increased knock back, so that it is easier to push people off the map. -when swinging into a charging Reinhart at full speed, both characters are stunned for a moment, like if two Reinharts were to charge each other. -add a passive ability called “emergency power” so that if ball gets stunned he gives himself 80-120 shield. Stuns still have the same duration and effect but he instantly gets a health boost. -knocking into people at full speed does more damage. These are only ideas so don’t take them too seriously, but these are some changes that I personally think would do ball some justice that he deserves and make him the brawler that they want to make the tanks into
Piledriver at 130 damage with no cooldown, oneshotting a tracer with piledriver/melee or piledriver/two headshots, get free shields if you get stunned so you don't get as punished by your mistakes as you should, meaning the character requires less thought. Hit and run disruption against a high cc comp? More like piledrive into all that cc because you get a million shield anyways. Adding more knockback to the already high knockback character, and on top of that give more dmg when rolling into people.. Hammond is the highest winrate tank for a reason, this just takes him from very strong to completely broken

I've absolutely gotten much better with ball, consistently getting at least silver damage and elims, but because I'm not a very competitive person, my rank in game is shite lol. Maybe one day I'll git gud tho
I did watch the whole thing. It was very well done. I just wish there were more examples on the video to show interactions with some of the other heroes and how to counter them. Very informative.
Would be great if there was more detailed info on double boops, like how far behind to grapple, stopping fireball almost immediately after first hit and very quickly pressing w again etc. It seems very difficult now.
I enjoy Ball, but... Either i will do a lot of eliminations/Damage but i will die A LOT , like a lot (i find him so squishy sometimes), or i will play more passively, i will not die so often but i will also not kill a lot. Generally i think he is BY F A R the hardest tank but also maybe the hardest hero overall.
The bot codes... I can't spawn the bot in OW2 even following the instructions (using emotes to spawn, teleport, etc). Do you have an updated version of these for OW2?
I've practiced wall jumping so much but I cannot do it consistently, I'm on console and I'm gonna keep trying coz I really wanna get good at ball but man it's frustrating not being able to do this one tech. I should specify on flat walls too
I play tank a lot and it's usually Ball I play. Whenever I'm playing support it's AMAZING how many people I see who cannot play as Ball in any way shape or form. As Ball, you should not be constantly asking for heals. You should not be constantly on the front lines. You SHOULD be a complete nuissance around your enemy's backline. You SHOULD be using grapple and pile driver way more than shooting. You SHOULD NOT be constantly firing at shields.

Zen is the best support synergy for ball in my opinion, zen can heal, DPS and discord to follow up with ball even out of LOS for three seconds
I once got a pog hammond or "ball" play where I ulted and pile drived everybody into bombs.
