- We love this small Toyota! It needs nothing more than the right road. We took advantage of this closed off section of rally speed test and took the Yaris for the spin.

Matey gave that Yaris GR the abuse it was made for. Perfectly executed driving and cornering, a good and entertaining watch.

In europe, lots of owners do exactly that. The garage that has sold seven in my vicinity, had already received 4 back, crashed. Peoples are too accustomed to cars easy to drive and they underestimate the short wheelbase. I have driven the Yaris GR like I stole it, and if it's rather easy to predict, it can be extreme very fast and the abundant power make it easy to overshoot your target. It's a very interesting car, that really needs to be mastered and driven with a cool head.

Rallying can so much more intense than drifting, unless it’s formula drift.
@@dreeary9475 formula drift doesn't come close to rallying. Watch WRC or some classic group B rallying.

@@dreeary9475 New drifting is so boring bruh. It's literally only handbrake and power as opposed to using the weight balance to throw the car into a slide. Watch old BestMotoring/Tsuchiya videos to get an idea
Rallying takes far more skill than drifting.
Superb driving. skilled drivers make it look so easy.

He seems like he knows the roads, not just going in blind. You can tell cause he chills out at the blind corners and gives way for traffic

Well looking forward to trading my corolla hatch for a GR in a year or two... that's some good handling by the car and I imagine the tires also seem to stick well to the road... and obviously not to take any credit from some fine driving!

Epic driving mate, great car also. Only issue I have with the GR is the sound... literally hair dryer like. But I guess it is a 3cyl so can't expect the earth haha.
Have a look at one with a proper exhaust on it. Actually sounds superb, petrol particulate filters choke the sound out of everything these days....

Looks to be a wrestle between under and over steer. I’m not a experienced all wheel drive driver , but it sees to me that power over steer is another tool to help pull the front end in as it pushes wide. ?
