This flog sounds like he loves the sound of his own voice Bet he would be fun around the campfire too wouldn’t stop telling ya what he’s done down to every nut and bolt
I use CTEK smart charges for my vehicles that do not get driven frequently to maintain their charge. When I know I won't be driving them for a while, I simply plug the CTEK to the quick connect plug that's permanently connected to my vehicle.
thanks for giving the Prado a chance haha love the 90 even though I own j120 myself. just loved the overall looks interior and exterior looks quite classic but not so classic imo.
Nice rig, I'm about to get the same tent on the rhino platform aswell. I'd be really interested how you mounted the tent to the platform. Pics or a quick vid would be amazing if not too much trouble.
I have just gone back from lithium cranking to lead acid in my fte 105. Cost too many alternators. The alternaor runs full output as once lithium is full, BMS shuts off and alternaor detects nil voltage and therefore cranks output.
Interesting you say that as I did a alternator awhile back and put a higher output will see how long this one lasts if does same will go back to lead acid
I hear ya in that regard I’ve had my 60 series for five years now and honestly I’ve done very few mods mainly due to the price of things but also because I’m always working having the time to do the mods is hard plus I’m now studying. Im actually in the planning stages to make my own rear bar.
In both a good and a bad way, its also gotten more people into camping, particularly the lovely ladies in our lives. The convenience means we can get away more often and on a whim. We've been at this for nearly 30 years from where we started to where we are, definitely added considerable 'luxury' but far off from much of the OTT stuff on the huge $$ builds we see now. I think the 105 is a great build, function and practical.
You won't get anything better than a FTE 105 👌

I dig it, after the 90 prado the 105 series cruiser is the next most slept on 4x4
Aha fair
They’re overshadowed by the 80 series in my honest opinion.
@@samratcliffe6449 i feel like there better bang for buck because of this

Was your spill valve a wiring issue throwing a p1222 code? Or did the spill valve fail?
Threw that code and spill valve was failed

This hobby isn’t fun anymore, ridiculous money that’s all money money money.

Yeah fair enough. It's definitely changed over the last few years, to many creature comforts too make the camping experience more luxury.
good motivation to pay attention at school and work smart (and/or hard).
Yep. It's become a fashion sport now. I always tell myself, they did this 50 years ago with a fraction of what I have. No need to get the upgrade.

Just not sure if I trust the lithium battery under the bonnet with all the controversy around that with battery’s bodging from the heat
My understanding of lithium batteries is they shouldnt be under the bonnet.
Some brands are rated for under bonnet. I think it's more to do with the insulation and sealing of the casing rather than the battery itself.
Do 100 body mounts fit 105 chasis without any fabrication ?
Hey mate just bolts in 1 engine mount change to put fte in and fuel tanks etc and lines super easy weekend job
