The F Type is such an interesting car. Pre refresh, it was the best looking car you could buy on the market. However its interior was embarrassingly poor, it was too heavy for what it was, and the price tag was too high. The refresh fixed the interior for the most part, turned the front into an Audi sadly, and kept its price tag high. Its a shame Jaguar couldn't make this car more competitive. While the V6 Supercharger is a gem of an engine, I would take a Lexus LC500 with its NA V8 for the same price, over it. At least locally here
Some time ago I had RRS 5.0sc 510hp 2016. Since I had lots of problems with it, apart from engine and gearbox (the only reliable parts), pretty much everything was a head pain: noise in cabin, door lock exploded, auto-steps always lagging, basically everything electronic element was replaced in dealer. Also dealer was a mofo: one time they forgot that engine oil was already out and started it (My scream "What the hell you are doing!" got them in time. Another time they forgot to tighten screw in wheel, screw fell from wheel on autobahn.) since I still had warranty, they gave me Jaguar F-Type p380 awd for a week as present. The only fun part is first two days. Apart from simple "wow factor" bc of red exterior and cabrio, nothing special. Too stiff, drives ok only in sport mode, but I gotta admit, sounds awesome.

I have a F-Type R, and my dad has a 400 Sport. I think the V6, as others have said may be the sweet spot of the line up. It provides an awesome soundtrack (sounds better to my ear under acceleration than the V8, but I am in America so may be a touch de-sensitized to V8's), feels lighter and pointier than the AWD V8's, and still provides the crackle and pops when you want to have a bit of fun inside of the speed limit. Don't get me wrong, I love the shove of the V8, and it is still pulling hard at 160+ mph, but if I had to choose between our two cars, I would probably choose his. Overall Jaguar knocked it out of the park with the F-type. The refreshed design had to grow on me a bit, but I now appreciate it as much as my 2016 or my father's 2018. It's not a 'pure' sports car, and doesn't try to be. Both my father and I have knocked out 600 miles in a day and been as fresh stepping out, as we were getting in. It'll hold its own at the track (will be tracking mine more this year), but isn't the best choice due to weight, and running costs (price out 20 tires at 255 front and 295 rear, then compare to 18's or 17's. You aren't going much if any smaller wheels due to the 15" brakes). A great review, and I like that it left you with a smile on your face. It does that to me each time I drive it.

Slow and expensive, a cruiser not fit for track. First edition was better looking upfront (now it's too Mustang), but inside still plasticky. ZF is disappointing. Didn't know Jacki Chan's brother was a car reviewer!

Yeah, the mic picked it up nicely. I couldn't hear the supercharger whining, but i can hear from the video. Nice.
