Love that we live in a time where the Mazda3 Sedans grille is so similar to this Jag, and a Camry grill looks like this V8 Lexus convertible. Mass-market cars not skimping on design definitely keeps the roads looking tidy, and you proud of your purchase even if you can’t drop a crazy amount on your next car.
The Jag isn't that exciting. I when it first came out it looked sexy. Like the R8, the newer iterations have lost its freshness. It looks too derivative and the v6 sounds too whiny. The LC500 on the other hand is art on Wheels. The sound is amazing , the interior is amazing...and you know it won't break down like a Jag.
Such an odd test V6 Vs the V8, could you not get the Jag V8 to compare it with? Defo not a fair comparison... using a Lexus Flagship to a Jag med level V6. But then again comparing the SVR to the Lexus just wouldn't be right even though both cars are around the £100k price point. Lexus great luxury weak performance. The British Cat all the way!!
In Australia these two variants are priced closest. But more importantly, both have an official 0-100km/h claim of 4.9 seconds; we are comparing performance, not V8 vs supercharged V8. And technically, a supercharged 3.0L V6 has a combustion capacity of around 4.0L (or more) vs the Lexus 5.0L. Hope that helps.
I guess should compare Lexus LC 500 with Jaguar f type R since both of them are 8 cylinders. If need to compare this Jaguar f type , then compare it with Lexus RC 6 cylinders.
I’ll have the Lexus thanks. So sexy and the Toyota reliability makes her a winner in my view. 👍🏻. Having said that, the Jags pretty schmick too but if I was forking out my 💰💰💰it’d go on the Lexus.
Some countries get it, some don’t...mine for example dosen’t get it (I live in Italy) The reasons are the new EU regulations Yeah I know thats sad, the V6 is actually my favorite engine for the F-type
Interestingly, the recently tested 3 cylinder GR Yaris got 4.80 sec 0-100km/h and 13.12 for 1/4 mile (close to but quicker than both Jaguar and Lexus). It is slower to 200km/h with 19.11 secs
My Jag had to have 2 radiators changed and electronics freak out where the radio controls adjusted the windows. No more Jags. Now have 2 Lexus with over 100k each… not one problem on either.
Not dissing the Jag...it sounds terrific and looks fantastic (although I do like the pre-facelift more). But is it just me or does the instrument cluster seem a smidge laggy? There's something about it...it's just not as smooth as it ought to be. Like it is missing a pixel width every 2 pixels or something (example of course. i cannot see an individual pixel). Or it doesnt have the frames per second as say...the lexus? I guess I'm use to the lexus gauge (in a relatively pauper IS of course) and I find it super smooth...almost analogue like. The jag just...isnt.
@@vinnie1827 Ah ok. In Australia we only have the P575 V8 (we tested it recently). The main reason we did this comparison is because both manufacturers claim 0-100 in the same 4.9 seconds.
Maybe cause lexus 2UR GSE v8 has dual vvti with electric lift and also rev limiter at 7100rpm while the Jag F-type has rev limiter some where at 6800rpm.

LEXUS LC 😍 DREAM CAR
We own an LC500 and it’s amazing, Jaguar is also amazing, they are there own amazing car ❤️
Long term ownership; you would take the Lexus 500 V8 and you would buy the hard top version.
Lexus LC500. Work of Art! 👌
My favourite is the 2021 Jaguar F-pace model. It is incredible
Lexus v8 all the way
Great video!! There’s nothing like the sound exhaust of a V8 engine. The best.
I cannot believe I prefer the V6, both have good sound tho.
For a v6 the jaguar sounds mint

I have an F-Type R and am seriously considering trading for the LC500 just for the back seats. Both cars are gorgeous.
Yes, those unusable back seats are where it’s at ;-0

The Lexus is perfection when it comes to design, exhaust note, interior craftsmanship and reliability.
And the worst when it comes to infotainment systems
Regarding soud/sensations:
Naturally-aspirated > Supercharged/Turbo
V8 > V6
