Recently found your channel and I think you are doing a great job. Going between F-type and LC500, which one do you think sounds better? Also which one has the more responsive auto- transmission?
Hey Miles, is Ferrari making a bid at Jaguar customers? I'm seeing "Ferrari Roma" in the Jaguar F-Type coupe's proportions. Everything about the Roma seems aimed at the Jaguar set, just add a bit more money in the mix, and the typical Jag owner will have a car with the prancing horse sitting in his/her driveway. Love the new F-Type in British racing green metallic, just wish the car had more exciting design details that give a sense of sporting flair. Maybe that's what the drophead coupe version satisfies. Awesome review, Thank You!
Two very different driving experiences. Boxster, with its mid-engine and smaller wheelbase, is quicker to change direction but down on power out of the corner. 911 launches quicker with more power and weight over rear end, but feels heavier in corners. Which is better? Really depends on which experience you prefer. I'd take a 911 coupe with a manual.
@김현섭 My two cents: The jaguar is better for daily driving and travelling on the highway. The Porsche is better for non-daily driving and for shorter distances, like, I mean I would rather take a Jag to travel 500-1000 miles in one go than a Porsche. The Porsche is more of a sports car: you should expect it to be a bit of a harsher ride, a bit more nimble, a bit more precise, and a bit noisier. That said, it depends on particular models, driving modes, etc. The Jag would also have more ground clearance. Porsche cars are very low, you might hit a speed bump. You should not but....things happen... As to the 911 vs 918, I'd take the 918 because it is a bit lighter in weight and more nimble = more fun to drive. If you yourself are very tall or have a lot of weight, then 911 might be more spacious and comfortable. The huge advantage of the two-seater Jag: It is both a sports car and a luxury car with a lot of comfort and niceties. The Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren are more of sports cars, albeit the latter two brands are extremely expensive! I mean, most luxury cars are big and slow in the corners as they are almost always four-seaters. A full-fledged dedicated sports car is a two-seater (no more than around 1500 kg in weight) which is often stripped of many nice options and features that create comfort. To give you a comparison: A racing GT car, say, Bentley or Ferrari or Porsche will all have a mass of around 1100 kg. It will also have a huge rear wing for some downforce during cornering. It means a 1500 kg car in weight will be ridiculous under racing standards. Also take a note that rear wings on civil cars are useless gimmicks in 99.99% of cases! And the last point: The heavier your car is, the more ridiculous and useless the rear wing is. Normally, it's just a decoration. Plus, it's a shout-out that your car is a sports trim or something like that unless you jerry-rigged that rear spoiler onto a mundane civil car.
Since Ferrari released the Roma, I can’t help but see the Jaguar F Type as the poor man’s Ferrari Roma. For now F Type has the advantage of a roadster model but maybe Ferrari will introduce a soft top Roma Spider.
Beauiful car and great review. BTW that's a pretty part of California (?) you're in. And yes, all of the petrolheads/gearheads in this world will be crying in our beers when electric takes over. Something very, very special will have been lost when that happens. Just glad I was born in this age to enjoy real cars.
Ironic that the bigger engine is preferable to the V6. Among the E-types, the original six-cylinder versions (3.8 and 4.2) are far superior and more desirable than the V-12s that came later.
@@MilesPerHr And which is more fun to drive? I'm referring to driving pleasure and smile-per-mile factor, not speed on a straight or on a track, where obviously the M4 is much faster.
Do yourself a favor, jack your rear of the car up. In front of the muffler, there are 4 wires clips. Unplug it, it keeps your exhaust active valve open at all times and it sound so much better. I did with mine, no code, no error light, and you can always plug the wires back.
@@p_enta5012Better based on what criteria? It’s better if it meets your goals for the purchase. For others the base v8 F-type or R will be more suitable. Or in other cases a Porsche or beemer. The LC is way too soft and has grandpa vibes. Not for everyone.
I've driven everything... the Jag struggles because it's not the leader in any category. It's not the best sports car(Cayman GTS), ride quality(LC500), tech(M4), or value(depreciation issues). The Jag is a car you buy simply because you smile when you see it, smile when you hear it, and smile because you own something special. As for the ride quality issue, I think part of the problem is it's a heavy car for its size, all that weight in the nose of a short car means the suspension has a hard time controlling the mass while also remaining compliant. This is another reason the mid-engine Porsche and C8 Corvette are superior in handling, the engine is near the rear axle leaving the front to be light, responsive, and buttoned down, without becoming harsh and choppy.
definitely not, the new F-type tries hard to appeal to the younger generation. the previous F-type had classic e-type heritage style headlights, the new one has no historical basis other than to freshen it up for younger buyers, why do you think it has a bunch of sharp lines lol
@@h7pubg The 2017 had a more exotic car headlight look and the sound was absolutely amazing. This doesn’t have that same exhaust sound and is quieter. These headlights have the look of a Ford Taurus typical sedan type rather than sport car super car-like look. The straight edges back lights take the style away if you ask me, to attract quieter type of people looking for something new and “modern” hence the older generation reference.

This is another reason the mid-engine Porsche and C8 Corvette are superior in handling, the engine is near the rear axle leaving the front to be light, responsive, and buttoned down, without becoming harsh and choppy.
Eh it looks okay. Made more for older generation IMO.. the 2017 f type is and will always be the best looking jag
Nah
@@eden20111 seems like you’re in the minority
definitely not, the new F-type tries hard to appeal to the younger generation. the previous F-type had classic e-type heritage style headlights, the new one has no historical basis other than to freshen it up for younger buyers, why do you think it has a bunch of sharp lines lol
All I see is cars passing it up even went you’re punching it. 😆
i owned a 2011 XKR, it is a much much much better designed car, however it navigation system is years behind, and lacks all wheel drive, otherwise a much better choice......
its brand new an the check engine light is on
Looks like Aston Martin 20 years ago
Looks like a Mustang mixed with an Aston Martin
Can you do a 2022 Land Rover Defender pov
I've got a 2021 Defender POV coming! (No real change for 2022)

Model S Plaid guest appearance at 12:35
I have an F type -please Jaguar change that time bomb indicator sound and move that traction control button from the dumbest possible place where you can easily disengage it by mistake.
Thanks for sharing your feedback as an owner 👍
Front fascia actually looks like a feline. I might have to pick one up instead of 911
I like to watch videos of these kind of vehicles to remind that I bought the right car, the LC 500
And This Compared with Mazda 6
I can not believe that all the cars gonna be electric. The cost are muchhhhh to high to put everywhere charging points. Second it is not better for the environment. When it comes to 50/50 is it already a lot.
Hopefully we get synthetic fuels soon so we can continue driving petrol cars
I was going to buy this car. But, bought the XJ instead.
The XJ was discontinued in 2019, so no you didn't buy an XJ.
🐾
It looks like a modernized 240z
Ford Focus headlights have ruined the look.
Doesn’t it look like a mustang slightly
Asking a lot for not quite enough.
