This is gonna be my last comment. This man does not deserve four thousands subscribers. I understand he has a cultural language barrier, but he should at least acknowledge his subscribers. His cherry picking days are gonna be over 6 months after this law turns into effect. I'm a 10 year driver in my city. All platforms including black car. Here's the deal in my opinion. The fares are higher in boston and there's less drivers. With the rate hike, there'll be more drivers and drivers will not get surge As much. The cost customers will still pay, the higher costs. The drivers will get less like most cities 50. Percent or less. His theory's of they make more now will be history. His job will be done . Thier will be no more big mornings and evenings everyday. Uber and grift will earn more and drivers less
it would be 140.07 / 4.75. You have the right answer, but using the wrong denominator. LOL! 45min out of an hour is 75% of that hour...which is where the .75 comes from. 30mins out of an hour is .50, which is 50%...which is HALF and hour.
it's a joke, long rides are now dead, more dead than they were already. what about surge, will they even offer surge anymore?? no one will take someone from DT Boston to Worcester or the cape both about 1 hour rides for 32 bucks, you'll never get a ride back. this will only be good for short trips around town. the only good thing about this is earned sick time, government should get out of the business of setting wages. they are too stupid to do so.
As of July 2024, the average rent in Boston, MA is $3,445 per month. This is 127% higher than the national average rent price of $1,518/month, making Boston one of the most expensive cities in the US. When you rent an apartment in Boston, you can expect to pay about $2,854 per month for a studio, $3,445 for a one-bedroom apartment, and around $4,408 for a two-bedroom apartment. If you opt for a three-bedroom rental, you could pay $5,759 or more.
Besides MA has very strict background check they check if you have speeding tickets, accidents in your driving record you basically are not qualified to drive for Ride share or public transportation
Everyone from Boston is trying to leave Boston or being priced out of Boston, trust me dude it’s not worth it… even if the pay is lower at least you can enjoy the sunshine
This is amazing content. Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!
So if your online for an hour and don’t accept a ride will you still get paid $32 for that hour
Every market is different.cherry picking is good but us in NYC we are getting lockout. Be happy for the app being open in your market.

It's buying subscribers.
To the Uber Boston guy, it’s the City of Boston, not the government of Boston… hmmmm
Don't forget, your expenses are a tax write off. Not 100% of it, but a good portion of it is.
$140.07 / 4.45 hours = $29.49/hour 🤔

@@MicDropBBQ I actually did use 4.75
$32.50/hr is only while you’re on the ride. Boston Uber Guy is making $30/hr ONLINE TIME. he’s driving minimal miles. Way better than the minimum.
@@bostonmatt I know. I was just providing the calculation cited in the video.
How much is the rent for apartments in Boston?
$2800 studio
