From London here its the most ridiculous thing that Uber/ other apps false advertise surge price to get drivers to log in and than offer them no surge pricing while charging customers surge prices.

accepted this 7:38 but didnt accept 3:20 (5 star)? LETS GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE, you cherry pick for 7 mins for a 30 min ride. work 10hr (600mins) shift (for example). 600mins % 37mins (cherry picking+ride time) comes out to 16 rides suppose to 600mins % 33mins (waiting for a non share/decent ride) comes out to 18 rides. yes I know not all rides pay the same or go to favorable destinations but those 2 extra rides every shift do make a difference.

There's no trick just decline all the deliveries that are really cheap that you are discouraged by I watch them same deliveries come back with double the amount sometimes even triple

Makes no sense to rent a car to work Uber. You would have to work 50+ hours and accept damn near every ride to make a profit. $300+ rental fee, Gas, maintenance

Don’t be distracted by the $32/H Understand how much it costs you to operate your vehicle per mile or hour/min, makes you understand what’s the minimum per ride you should accept. Doesn’t matter where you’re or what. The cost to operate will always be the same. To summarize it don’t take ride or delivery knowing that’s a guarantee loss it should be easy! Don’t work too hard 😊

You are so right i been driving for uber for 7 years before the $32.50 an hour bs i was averaging $50+ an hour and fridays and saturdays i was average $80+ from 10 pm to 2:30 am now uber is paying less and no more $20-$30 surge when it gets busy uber charging riders $100 and we get $45

The algorithm had already gotten bad enough when upfront pricing was implemented. The $32.50 per active hour law didn’t help, but it didn’t make things any worse then it’s been.
