Great review. We sold our 2018 GLE 350 and bought a used 2023 GLS 450. Could NOT be happier. The term Land Yacht really is appropriate. Fast and strong enough to get out of the way while pulling a small boat but comfy enough to drive 10 hours a day. And the fuel mileage is better than our 2018 GLE 350!
My wife has a Cayenne S and I have this in Mojave Silver with the AMG package - I call her "Smooth Jazz". Coming from a sports car, have to say that my driving level stress has gone down dramatically - this thing is just so smooth and stress free to drive. With the suspension and steering in sports mode - it feels like an S Class on the highway. This is our third GL/GLS and this one is a big improvement - especially at speed - much more agile and not truck feeling. Plus the tech is great in the car.
Thanks for info. I ordered the GLS 450 to avoid paying the market adjustment, only issue was I couldn’t drive one on 23” because none was on the lot. Does yours have 22” or 23” wheels? Trying to figured out if it’s a major difference in ride quality
Just bought one yesterday. It feels tiny/low after decades of driving honking big truck chassis V8 SUV rigs. It drives like a dream though and now I have the built in excuse of not having to haul large groups of people and luggage around.
I test drove the GLS 580 a couple of months back and really liked it, but I always felt that a little less power would be ideal. This is definitely on my lookout list if I can find the right specs with a middle bench seat. My one gripe is the absence of a spare tire for such a utility rig. In my experience, one could easily run over a screw or a nail in late night driving, then what?
Up grade to the leather seats and the cooling system. It is a better seat! I highly recommend that option. NO CD player!! So SAD!!! I love the car but would have kept my 2018 if I had realized no CD player. The 2022 MBUX system does a great job with voice commands. I have been driving it for six months and while it has some quirks overall I can't find another car to replace it and have this ride and space and safety!

Good narration. Is it worth taking Acoustic package as well? Skeptical about visibility through windshield and side windows which may get tinted with it. Loved the test drive. Waiting for mine in 3 months.
Thank you great Review Do u think this car can last me 10 years without major car repairs. I drive about 16,000 miles a year. Thinking of buying new and passing it on to my kids in 5 years. The eldest is 12 years old now I Bought a used 2015 X5 and spent $15,000 in repairs the first year. I only had it a year but going to sell it and try to buy a GLS Thank you
MY 2014 Toyota Tundra crewcab lifted just reach 100k miles. Only replace recently the 4 tires with 275 65 20 Duratrac. And did brake pads ever since. Peace of mind, great friend of my wallet. No more Benz for me😅😂
i was in a 2017 audi Q7 the other day. the 2nd row seats move back and forward. giving a Great Deal of space in the backseat, felt like i was in the backseat of a S class or 7 series bmw. do these 2nd row seats slide back and fwd ?

Your wife isn't bothered by the turbo lag?

Totally agree on the look of the read end, dull. I hate the back lights design. The older models look much better exterior wise
This is a great comprehensive review. Great job!!

Couldn't be happier with our 22 gls 450.
Thnx for your very detailed review Appreciate you compare side by side with X7.
Correction! The GLS is in its third generation.🤦🏼♂️ not second generation
Really great review and video. Thank you so much!
Put it on sport mode to get a sporty steering / handling
Very good report. Here in Europe the best option is the 400 d twin turbo diesel with 330 HP and 700Nm of torque.
Greetings from Spain.
Hi bro, dis Don Joseph.
Please can we talk privately
Awesome review ! My wife has has her eyes on this GLS.
Me and ur wife have that in common she has excellent taste
@@jenniferwiilis5267😮😮😮 you better stay away, far far away and never meet...
@rhoods Kevin ok I didn’t mean anything bad by that I meant it in a good way
Conveniency isn’t a word
Chapter 3 title should probably be fore GLS 450, not X7...
I hate no back up alarms on these gls

No one uses CD players anymore 🤣🤣🤣

Grand Wagoneer
At almost $100k real leather
is an option?
You can buy a separate CD player and connect it to the car.
Hi , thanks for the information for the lovely car demonstration ,
Can I get this car when two tone colors .
Nice report bro
Absolutely wonderful review!!

The Voodoo child intro though!
You did amazingg
I do not like how big the front and back emblem has become. It is like what Cadillac used to do.
So the bar in the trunk (behind 3rd row seats) cannot be removed?
It can! I just hadn't removed it in the video
@@DriveSteady thanks for the reply!

No, never hold on to a German manufactured vehicle past its warranty period.

yes ofc
Warranties.. compared to x7?
These 23 wheels… can imagine how heavy they’re lol
Does 2nd row slide back and forth for more space?
In my GLB it does but I am looking to upgrade to the GLS in the future and would also like to know!
Yes, it does.
@@gidd999 great! Thanks.
I have a GLS 550. The second row is fixed.
Does the bluetooth connect for MUSIC?? My 2018 one does not and Its dissapointing.
Have you seen the aftermarket android screens for this model? I just purchased one for $800. Tons on reviews here on TH-cam.
Great car, fantastic driven experience,
Good view👌🏻
Everything that you have to order is standard equipment on the mdx type s and blow its doors off. And better reliability
The videographer should be focusing on the car not the presenter.
I traded my GLS for an X7 and can't believe how much of a better everyday drivers car the x7 is!!
Very good report tengo una y todavia estoy aprendiendo todos lo que hace 😂
It’s ridiculous how it’s a massive engine bay with a small in line 6 but they put all of the accessories so close so you can’t work on it easily
I mean when you buy this suv its meant to enjoy the drive , if you want a track car get a Porsche
this same engine bay is designed to hold the much larger 600 engine. its a shared structure so it has to be that big.
‘Conveniency’ 😂
Ruined the entire review 🤦🏾♂️
Conveniency?
Biggest disappointment for me was the electric, numb feeling steering. But I'm sure soccer moms will love it.
I own a 2022. Not sure what you mean. Steering, suspension, engine, and trans can all be adjusted to your liking in individual mode.
How is the reliability @peterszmerdt1959
I would like this better with an EQS driveline. Gas engines are dinosaurs
So is your mom
Is 2022 MDX TYPE S A BETTER SUV I SAY SO HONDA RELIABILITY
i have that car
Peace be upon you.
VERY UN RELIABLE THO
Conveniencey????
Don't forget the Chevy Suburban.
That’s not considered a luxury car sorry
my white 2015 gl 450 looks sexier than this..
Not really
@@Luisp333 with those ugly skinny tail lights most everyone agrees with me
For the money I would rather get a Denali

It looks so boring
Grand Wagoneer is superior.
What a waste of money
looks like a can! ugly front! lights look old.
“Conveniency”?
Wtf is that? Lol
