I'm happy to see you's enjoyed it here in Scotland and for Harry Potter fans. Whilst I have never seen the films, it's wonderful to see the energy you's have and is wonderful that you's got to see those places. It's wonderful to have a passion and love for something like that and certainly nothing to ever feel ashamed for. In my opinion, they should put up the original hut that stood there to give the fans something to see and experience and it certainly wouldn't take away from the nature and scenery.
Thank you so much Scott for your kind words! And we’re happy that we managed to transmit our energy (we cannot avoid it with HP 😅) We honestly didn’t know what to expect when we arrived, if the hut or not.. but we think that if the hut stood there, there would be much more tourism and for sure irresponsible people that could do whatever they wanted with it 😅 so in a way, it’s better this way!
The many islands in the lochs in Scotland are historically places here people built village long ago. In Ireland, they are called crannoghs, and such places were ideal to live on: well defended, linked by boat to almost anywhere, plenty of fish, usually an easily-broken thin bridge to the shore. These islands are sometimes absolute treasure troves of ancient artefacts and evidence of habitation. They may be the reason why 'fairy islands', 'isles of healing', etc. are so common in Celtic myth and fairy tales.
Yes it was the Jacobite! The one we saw left Mallaig at 5pm 😄 and for Hagrid’s Hut we parked at the Clachaig Inn and then it’s 5-10 mins walk from there!
Midgies only come out when it's overcast and humid, they avoid coming out when it's quite hot in bright sunshine. Midgies are absent on the East coast of Scotland, it's only the biting blood sucking midgies that are on the West coast .I'm so glad you love my wonderful , mystical and majestic country. There is really nowhere on earth like it, I'm Scottish and there are many places in my country that still fill me with joy and emotion, , ,it's that kind of place, you can't explain it.
We totally agree with what you said regarding Scotland! It's unique and so beautiful, we really loved it and cannot wait to come back to explore more. We know about midges, but thank you for writing it so others can be informed about this too 🙏🏻
@@bemayone Can I suggest a product to you that is a great midgie repellent ? The cosmetic company "Avon" makes a moisturiser called "Skin so Soft" (midgies hate the stuff) . So anytime I was working at the West coast I took a bottle with me and it worked very well. I suggest you invest in some, as I later found out that the army has it issued to the troops when they are training in the area.
@@derekhenderson1730 I seen 'Can I suggest a product' & instantly thought 'oh, here comes the Skin So Soft.' :) Although I wont argue against how effective it is, because so many ppl recommend it, what I will say is my brother & I took my Mum to Arran for her 60th, went to Brodick castle for the day & the midges were horrific, almost like a fog. My Mum had Skin So Soft to put on, my brother put some on too, I had my doubts & said no. Now, guess which one of us went home that night with no midge bites? Little sceptic me. I just laughed & said I must taste worse than Skin So Soft does.
So uplifting to see someone in bliss...bliss is something that seems in short supply right now.
Take care you 2.
Anything that touches your soul and makes you feel the way you did in this video is a beautiful thing.

Harry Potter is not popular in Scotland because he is English.
I love people who love my country! Best wee country in the world!🏴🙏
Love that you brought your beautiful dog along for the ride, stay happy, safe and healthy 🏴
‘The Midge’s Hat’ is a great name for it 😂
