I once met a man who owned a cafe, on a coast, in the middle of nowhere, and he said to me that he was one of a few individuals that were in charge of producing Harry Potter 1 & 2. He was in charge of specifically the filming locations for these movies, at first I was not convinced until he whipped out his dusty old phone and showed me a picture of himself with the main cast and the other producers. It’s the unexpected things in life that gives it colour.
I have a similar story. I met a British man on a bus in Tokyo! His uncle played Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films. Also did not believe him until he showed us pictures with his uncle. What are the odds! I kinda forgotten about this side story from my Japan travels. Thankyou for reminding me.
@@be_reyt How was the Jackabite train used or when was it used in the harry potter films? as GWR 4900 Olton Hall train was the main train they used in all the films and it is the one that is seem the most
You're right, Olton Hall played Hogwarts Castle, the steam engine, hauling the Hogwarts Express and that is currently on show at WB Studio. But West Coast Railway, who run the Jackobite, actually supplied that engine and the carriages used in the films. So though we may not have seen that same engine we may have seen some of the carriages. But to me, it's more about the service, so much of the Hogwarts Express' journey was filmed on the Jackobite's route, between Mallaig and Fort William passing the lochs and going over the viaduct.
I must admit I've shed a tear watching this, especially after the crowd cheering when the hogwarts express appeared on the viaduct. Thank you for this video

Rip Professor McGonagall 😢❤
52 minutes flew by so fast, because I was just magically focused on this video and interesting information. The story was told very professionally. Thank you very much.

Such an impressive video. The fact you pretty much went to every filming location is astonishing.
I liked and subscribed, hope to see more videos like this!
21:15 I went to the Harry Potter studios (although it wasn’t filmed there) crazy to think that was a filming location is now a place to park cars😂
Harry Potter will live forever
I'm sure!
Snape impression was the best I’ve heard / seen so far loved every second of it haha ❤
Missed one! Elliot's Row in Elephant & Castle is where the Knight Bus almost hits and has to wait for the old woman to cross.
Oh cool! Didn't turn up in my research but got it up on street view, and it's exactly the same. I knew I'd have missed something! I had to leave out a few, where actors weren't really present, but I should have got that one. I'm going to need to do a part two, aren't I!
Loch Shiel really is quite breathtaking....it's the most incredible scenic view I have personally ever seen with my own eyes
WE ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS?
Awesome epic video!! I must say your Snape impression was accurate af 😂
