This is the way to travel the canals...slow and gentle admiring the scenery and our industrial heritage....love the relaxing music also....some of the wall paintings are very artistic and nice to look at whilst others are just an ugly mess with no talent at all.....

Love the music, much better than most other vlogs. The industrial scenery reminds us why the canals were built.

I spent all of my childhood up to my 20's living in Middleport, I thought I knew this part of the canal like the back of my hand but perhaps not. I haven't been back for more than 30 years and so much has changed, some for the better and some not so. Lovely Vlog and thanks for the memories.

That was an interesting vlog for me Phil. I do Genealogy, and found that although I'm Cornish, a lot of my Ancestors came from the Potteries. A lot of them lived in Fenton. So that was interesting for me,thank you. 😀

Thank you. I kind of raced through as I'm not keen on any city boating, and also didn't feel good about letting the cats out there. They're not used to urban areas.

Another enjoyable cruise. Can always tell when getting close to larger cities by the graffiti, but there were still a lot of pretty trees and interesting old buildings to see.

You do bring your own, characterful, personality to your videos, which makes them so enjoyable and attractive fims to watch.
This one through the somewhat decayed urban and industrial landscape is sensitively narrated in your uniquely enjoyable way.
A lovely cameo of canalside Stoke on Trent which is most relaxing to enjoy, intelligently detailed and special, even, this time, with the added feature of some alarming "noises-off" !
Thank you for your continued magical You Tube programmes on land and water.

Westport Lake is dodgy as hell. I fished and camped there when I was younger, and at night there was more than one occasion where gangs came and asked you what you had to figure out whether to rob you or not. Advice amongst fishermen was to have weapons close and visible as a deterrent...or to avoid it altogether which is what I did after those few experiences.
