Thank you, very pleasant experience as always, weather doesn't seem to be as bad as it is here in the States. It's 19° here right now. Hope your cold weather is over for the winter. Already eagerly waiting for your next post. 😉
Thank you Phil you never disappoint. I'm disabled and can't get out to the countryside very often so your Vlogs cheer me up no end. All the best. Stephen
Thank you Phil not the most picturesque of places but still very enjoyable. You have lived on the canal for more than 30 years, perhaps you could share what changes that have a occurred over that time the good and bad the funny and not so funny. I think it would make a interesting vlog or maybe a series. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing.
I'm here !!! you just never disappoint... I just love your music its happy..I do love that!very nice ducking!! LOL!😊.....your hard work is always my joy..Thank you once again..😁!Im glad we got out of there as quickly as you could...back into beautiful nature again...safe for you and The boys..😍
Always a pleasant and informative trip thanks Phil. It's pouring down outside, nothing better than doing a few locks and having a cruise, makes me feel I've done something. Thankyou, and take care. (I know from when I lived in the Uk, you do have to be wary of groups of youths, some have no moral boundaries and are capable of anything.)
Just moving into summer daylight saving today in New Zealand and enjoying your latest vlog. Feels summery even though we guess it’s Autumn in Britain. Thought we’d now revisit your recent slow tv vlogs from the past year as we enjoy them so much.
I didn't notice any boats passing you so perhaps this is not a popular part of the canal. It wasn't attractive but your video was excellent as usual. Best to you, Jane, Philadelphia
Crikey...deep locks at Stoke.... this is sadly where we had to abandon our first boat!! I could not see where the ladder was on those... did u have to climb up and down hanging onto your rope....???? Good job you had a long enough centre line....
@@NarrowboatJourneys phil, new boat 'The Dame' is doing well, latest vlog is on my FB page to watch, decluttering the house and doing odd jobs on her getting all that done before we move onboard to cc in April.... we will then get a YT channel going for friends and family to follow our journey!! Hoping to do our 2nd cruise soon, driving practice for me!! Xx
Narrowboat Journeys good move full steam ahead captain and get out of Dodge City even your music couldn't raise the video. Then again canals weren't built for scenic views but to transport cargo from A to Be so I suppose this is a true reflection. Have you received a Jackery generator yet to review?
@@NarrowboatJourneys they are sending them out to narrowboat vloggers free of charge to test them and do a review on them. Thought you may of received one because you've been around such a long time.
Hello again Phil. You didn’t like the low geared paddles, but at least they are easy to operate. When I watch Emma on Narrow Boat Girl, she really struggles with conventional ones. I do feel very sorry for her. What is the reason for not mooring up around that area. Vandalism? Don’t blame you for avoiding trouble. Too many people around who don’t respect others property. Was that a new piece of music towards the end?
It was a good job then that I held back and didn't share my true feelings about the place. 🤣 On a previous visit my boat was pelted with stones at Etruria, and there were drug dealers under some of the bridges.
@@NarrowboatJourneys I had forgotten your problem 's there I could tell your had reasons. In the states you would have had to be afraid of the bushes. Here they hide till they can get you. Glad you got thru safe.
Fab once again Phil. Peace and beautiful countryside . Thank you.

Thank you Stephen, glad you enjoy the videos, and thank you also for the coffee donation. :-)

Thank you. Even mooring where I did, I had someone knocking on my boat late at night! I moved next day.
Good video interesting
Hello Phil, Guess this was a city video?😂, I like them all, That's why I like your channel! Have a good night my friend!
I'm watching from my tablet!
Glad you got through my home town unscathed :)
Thank you once again. Beautiful cruise, locks, colours and scenery.
Phil thank you so much for these beautiful videos they are a tonic in a mad world. Wishing you and the kittehs well from New Mexico.
The stark contrast between the urban jungle and the beautiful countryside brought into focus by this excellent video . Thank you Phil.
Nice music coming out of city. Well done.
Thanks Phil. Take care.
always good

Autumn is coming. The trees are just thinking about colouring up.
Oh nice I'm on for tonight!!!
Love your blogs krafoldsky
Thanks Phil. Hopefully you will be headed for more rural waters soon.
That's the plan!
Nice one. Have you ever found fishing gear in the trees above the canal?
Many times.
I'll bet this section of canal isn't on any brochures! Glad you made it through the sketchy area alright.
It was horrible. The place I moored up at the end was the place where a man knocked on my boat late at night and asked for a drink of water!
@@NarrowboatJourneys Oh no, that's a disconcerting thing to happen after boating through that area.
@@NarrowboatJourneys He must not have seen what your water looks like!
A lovely mug of iron oxide solution!
@@NarrowboatJourneys 🤣😹😂
Two great videos, as always. I am afraid that my next staycation won't be in Stoke on Trent, sadly...
It's a horrible place!
good vid on the cut keep it cranked on the cut
Thank you, that was really very interesting. We don't have anything like that here in Estonia.
You're lucky - you don't want a place like Stoke on Trent! ;-)
So after you have used the lock and locke dit back up, it fills back up over time?
Sometimes the lock refills on its own but it depends on how leaky the gates are!

Thank you. I think most of the boats raced through Stoke in the morning?

That bridge was low dude. It got a pretty big WOW! Out of me and my wife. Ha!
That's about as low as the Harecastle tunnel was in some places.
@@NarrowboatJourneys well. You pulled a pretty good Matrix move to miss it.

That whole place is dodgy! Not new music, it's an old tune.
You can get a work out doing locks alone !
They are very tiring to do on your own.
I live in Stoke and regularly go round the canal paths on my bike. I’m 63 and was slightly offended at your comments not safe and glad to get out😠

Not a fan of those deep locks especially solo !
Easier going down than going up though. I like locks that are six feet or less.
@@NarrowboatJourneys yes much prefer downhill, especially on the T&M going uphill they can be vicious
