- I wanted to try something different so this plane caught my interest and I decided to give it a go.
I fly mine on 3s 1300mAh battery using my Spektrum NX10. Receiver inside is a Spektrum AR630.
Wingspann: 900mm
Lenght: 990mm
Weight: 560grams
Give some thought to trying a Twisted Hobbys 32" Light monoplane series plane (the Laser is a great one) . They go together similar to this, but are about half the weight. That really translates in the flying...you'd be amazed. I've flown that Sbach, with the right set-up on each plane they fly very similar to the Eratix, and they are both very good...especially to someone with very little 3D profile foamy experience. The lighter Twisted Hobbys planes are on another level that you just can't imagine until you fly one. That said, and this may be a factor for you, the lighter ones are geared more for making 3D easy, for sport flying the heavier ones like the Sbach are probably better. Nice vid man...glad you enjoyed it!
Great suggestions! Thanks Adam.
I have to agree with Adam. I’ve got a crack yak back yard plane from RC Factory and I’m sure you will love it. A great lightweight slow flying plane that I fly just in front of my house. I still have a long way to go for flying 3D but I improved my skills a lot!
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I like how you're cutting all the slots first, while the pieces can be flat on the bench. This seems a better approach than the "official" video from MotionRC. Looks great, thanks!
@@gbisaga Thank you for commenting! It was the best way to do it to me atleast.
Nice, watching looks sounds like it will be fun to build and fly👍👍
Thanks for commenting!
This was very easy to build with this video, every part fit perfectly also flies great.
@@CentralRidgeRCFlyers Great to hear!
I'm surprised by the performance of this, considering the construction and simplicity. Thanks for the perspective 👍
Well done 👍✅ looking forward to receiving mine 😊
I like the size. I like the price. From this video I like the way it flies. I like that bu8ilding one would give me ideas for building my own scratch profile planes. I just might get this one or one of the other similar models.
Is there a profile to the wing or is it just flat? I don't think that type foam is readily available; would two layers of Dollar Store foam board have about the same thickness? Thanks.
It is a symmetrical wing and I haven't seen foam board like this in any store but I only buy my planes online so it might exist.
