I’m pretty sure others have proven scientifically that tires really don’t need to be deflated. Also, you may find it easier to keep the pentaclip attached to the saddle and just loosen the pentaclip bolt just enough to remove the combined saddle/pentaclip from the seatpost. To make the bike even more compact, you can then drop the seatpost out the bottom of the seat tube and store it separately in the suitcase, likely padded by some clothes. You may also consider keeping your helmet out of the checked luggage to avoid unseen damage. Glad to see you made it all fit though!
I appreciate your detailed advice. That is interesting about the tires, I have read it and tried it both ways. It does seem that they do not need to be deflated. One less step is always good. I like the idea to include the pentaclip on the saddle, next time I will try this. Thanks for the tips.
Can you do a video on bike racks? Pros and cons from the simple hook-to-your trunk to hitches (and where do you get a hitch if you don't have one on your car already? And who puts it on?)
The way you whispered while telling us about the secret compartment 🤣🤣. Looks like Apple Betty is fully wrapped and traveling in style 😊! Hi mister/ miss cat in the background determined to get some air time lollll. You know cats don’t like to be ignored- except when they’re ignoring you 😂
Haha, Apple Betty is living her best life in that suitcase! And the cat is definitely the real star of the show, always seeking attention and food. He has been on a diet for 2 years now with not much success. You can blame it on his mother.
If you loosen the saddle height adjustment clamp, will the whole saddle and seat post lift out of the frame? Maybe that's a better solution than unbolting the saddle from the seat post?
La maleta que encontré en la tienda de descuento se llama 'Dejuno' Era en el tamaño en lo que me centraba, no en la fabricación de la maleta. ¡Gracias por ver!
Hi! I've been searching for the right suitcase for ages. Could you please tell us the details of which make and model of suitcase you found that ticked the three boxes of (i) not too expensive; (ii) fits a Brompton; and (iii) not greater than 158 linear cm? So far, the only option I've found is the Samsonite Stryde 2, but that's almost 300 GBP.
I just went to a discount big box store with my tape measure and looked for the suitcase that was 158cm (62 inches) big. This particular suitcase is called Dejuno.. I hope this quest for the holy grail of suitcases won't be a struggle. Good luck!
......aha! After some more research (an Google Image Search from a screenshot of the suitcase lining material pattern), I'm guessing the suitcase might be a Dejuno MODA (DJ-8276) ???
I couldn't find where the model number is located on the suitcase, but it is a Dejuno. Sorry for not putting that in the video. I was just more concerned with the size and cost. Although I thought the suitcase was sturdy, I did add a suitcase strap to add more protection...which I should have added that part to the video. Hope it goes well.
One thing to add. I strapped it around the width and length with 2 plastic clip-on-style straps just in case the suitcase decides to pop open. Otherwise a job well done. By the way, I love your sneakers.
Thanks for sharing your tip! And thanks for the sneaker love! You can't have your precious belongings popping out unexpectedly. I did do that, but I did not filmed it. 🤦♀️
The first time I ever flew I took along my favorite snack in carry on to enjoy at my remotely located summer job: peanut butter. Decompression at altitude is real. That bag smelled like peanut butter when I landed. It was everywhere! Later, the ants helped my clean it. I will be deflating any bicycle tire I fly with. Thanks for the reminder.
There have been doubters. Thanks for sharing your flying experience with the peanut butter explosion! Who knew it would be a flight hazard. It’s always a lesson learned when traveling with snacks. Safe travels on your next adventure. 🐜✈️
Clever! Would not have thought to look for a non-bike, yet large-enough, suitcase for the folder. And $70? What a bargain. You thought outside the (big) box! Well, I guess you thought inside the Big Box, didn't you!
Maybe, but I have the mindset of not worrying about that. If it makes people crack a smile, all the better. Everyone has their own unique style. But after saying that, you would be surprised how popular the Bromptons are becoming around here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😅 You made me smile.

Actually, we have already started working on a bike rack video. Look for it in the next couple of months. Great minds think alike! 😄
Hi! Will please tell us what specific bramptom bike you have? Thx
Sure! I have the Brompton C-Line model. It's perfect for city commuting and folding up on the go!

Yes, it does, but I think you still have to take the saddle off to slide the post out. Thanks for watching.
pon el link de la maleta para guardar la brompton y así poder comprarla. saludos

You are pretty funny and clever too!🤣
Sorry, I think you should be measuring the folded Brompton BEFORE buying the suitcase, not after.
Appreciate the tip! I did but I should have mentioned it in the video.
Its such a stupid looking bike.
Haha, it's definitely unique! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? Thanks for sharing your opinion.
stupid is as stupid does, I love my Brommie
Bet you look ridiculous riding that thing with weirdly long metal pipes and tricycle tires

What a stupid looking emoji. Brompton bikes are a blast.
