Here, so many beautiful pieces are thrown away simply because they’re "not modern enough." I try to save some of them and try to make them work in my appartment (houses are sooo expensive), but honestly, I wish I were more like you-I’d revamp them and resell them. I have one going upstairs to the top floor. I like seeing all my artwork and pictures. Great job on the make over!

Looks great Mailey, the picture frame artwork is a great idea, I'll remember that later on in my renovation. Also, I have to tell you that you are the secret compartment queen! The antlers…well. Not as weird as I thought first. 😂 All in all I like the new space, and I LOVE the brass bees on the stairs. I don‘t know how other people feel, but I would prefer no music in the background when you talk. Elevator music like that gets on my nerves and distracts me. You have such a pleasant personality, I think these music doesn‘t you justice. Sorry. 😵💫 Do you a vlogmas this year? It was such a joy in 2023 (and I know, a LOT of work). I‘m in an advent calendar group of 24 young people. Everybody does one „door“ 24 times. As I am the oldest one and a mom I invest a little more money as the students (I feel honored that I am allowed to join in 😌) and I did the pincushion jars for the door 24 I was elected for. I used not the mason jars (hard to find in Germany and very expensive) but normal jam jars. I used fabric circles and sewed around in big stiches to contract them, stuffed some fluff in and put cardboard on the bottom. I glued them on the lid with hot glue (aua!). A nice border around to cover the mess. Some sewing supplies in the jars. I think students in their shared apartments can use something like that. So thank you for the inspiration! 😊 Mona
Haha gotta keep the people guessing! and the bees are one of my favorite touches. And all good to say I will say without music the videos feel stale. Most videos have some sort of underscoring it helps with pacing when editing. Hope that makes sense! So glad you like the entryway! 🥰🥰🥰
You could also swap the bulbs for Alexa smart bulbs and then you wouldn’t have to open the cabinet at all I covered all my light switches with art and everything is voice controlled
I actually did consider that but I switch got in the way. I would want it right over the cabinet in my entry but the mirror I had in mind wouldn't have worked with turning it into a cabinet door like I did with the picture to cover the switch.... stupid switch!
A lot of museums have their art online to download and copyright free! Some etsy sellers are just art from museums, edited sometimes or color corrected. Museums have nice free options.
Iron Ore can swing both way. In real bright lighting it'll look a little grey and but in most natural lighting it looks black. It right on the line! :) I plan on keeping the wood railing how it is. It's in good condition I typically only like to paint wood if I have to. So glad you like it!!! 🥰

Oh you know what I have a video save from a museum that had a bunch of free digital downloads. That's good to know about Etsy I didn't know that! 🥰
