Lydia, thank you so much for choosing to wear my design in this beautiful Homeworthy feature! Your home is a perfect reflection of your colorful, inviting spirit, and seeing our dress in such a lovely space is truly an honor. Your support means the world to me! 🌸✨

Beautiful home! I love the paintings all the colors this homeowner used all around the house. Most of all I love that the pups were welcomed on all couches. So down to earth.
YES! There have been a few on Homeworthy lately that I haven't enjoyed (though I know not everything will be my preferred taste), but I loved every bit of this home tour. It didn't feel cookie-cutter at all!
There are so many wonderful ideas in this home. And so lovely that it is a collaboration between the two, a showcase of their talents. I love the bold colors, the antiques, and the warm welcoming feeling throughout. I will watch this again to revisit the amazing art! Thank you, Lydia & Homeworthy!
Wow- thank you, Jim! I really do appreciate your kindness- I loved teaching and surely did love those children that I was lucky enough to get to teach!
What a sweet lady!!! And her home is beautiful. I love all of her art😊 Especially the portraits of her children. And the guestroom is gorgeous😃 With all these sketches in the bamboo frames, the bed and the drapery, just love it! I'm not so convinced with both the dining and the breakfast table and the chairs, but that doesn't matter. They really have a cozy home ! 😃I wish her and her family and doggies all the best🍀 Thanks for the tour and greetings from Germany 😊
I think this lady is the most wonderful thing I have ever come across. I sat down to watch, and almost had second thoughts as the home I currently live in could not be more different! However, Lydia captivated me! Lydia seems such a lovely, generous, friendly, fun lady - and I bet she has a wicked sense of humour just bubbling underneath! I love her voice, and her dress. Oh, and of course her home! It felt like we were having a chat! Lovely, just lovely. My goodness, Lydia has her own channel here on YT.

Lydia, talk your husband into a tutorial on those bamboo frames. They’re great! I have watched so so many Homeworthy episodes and this is one of my favorites. I absolutely love the color added to her home through objects instead of the paint. You’ll never get bored! You’ve got endless decorative options!
You are so kind- thank you! I feel the same way about the endless options and I enjoy changing things around every once in a while! I will see what I can do about the bamboo frame tutorial- that may have been a once in a lifetime moment haha! It was fascinating to see his process and so maybe I can convince him to share sometime! Thank you, again!!

I absolutely love your gorgeous home and the creativity you have developed and share with your friends. I’m from North Carolina and the tour really reminded me of home, growing up and memories I have. Like you and other southern women, I am not afraid of color. With so much sunlight most of the time, having color can really stand up to it. The sunlight is strong. Also, we have such long growing seasons and with that you have a lot of color moving inside the house. We’re very used to color. Our house was on two acres and my parents had extensive gardens, formal and informal, and my mother had arrangements of flowers and greenery throughout the house during the four seasons - and arrangements in the bathrooms, too. And she would turn a lamp(s) on, small or large, in each room (including bathrooms!) at dusk. And she loved working with decorators and shopping. The house was warm and enchanting. I don’t have the gardens they had, but I do have a lot of camellias, roses, perennials and some greenery I can bring in throughout the year. The rose hips are beautiful. I collect china, crystal, and silver like a bandit and love to entertain. I would love to see another video on how you entertain using your beautiful things, and the food you have, and lots of ideas. Maybe you and Homeworthy could do that?
I remembered you have a book coming out, so you probably don’t want to do a video. Or maybe do one that is completely different than the book and state that in the video.
Thank you! And, thank you for sharing your lovely childhood memories with us. Your mom sounds like she created lots of beauty for others to enjoy within her home! I love that you continue her traditions and ways and enjoy the colors of each season. It would be so fun to share more entertaining ideas with you, especially given how much you enjoy entertaining too! It would be an honor to do more videos in the future! Thank you, again!
Love the idea of a salad in the pumpkin. A teacher can always entice conversations with both children and adults. Enjoyed all your choices of colours and how seamless they blend without distracting the eyes. Kudos to you and your husband as collaborative partners. Very entertaining and enjoyable. Thanks again.
She is so lovely ! I absolutely love this home and I wish I could sit down w a drink w her she sounds so sweet and like so much fun. Such a beautiful home and full of color which i just love and think is so much fun!
It is wonderful that all your collected items hold memories or meaning. The wall color offers a clean palate that perfectly showcases your art collection and such fun fabric pieces! It provides the freedom to change things around for an instant “refresh”! I love it!!
Absolutely gorgeous home! Lydia, you are the perfect hostess and thank you for sharing your home with us. You and that spectacular blue dress look amazing!

That kitchen!!! The hood. The glass cupboards that match the original glass doors in the house- so well thought out. Even the lighting fixtures. A simple white kitchen but so well considered and interesting. Beautiful! I’ve had to watch this multiple times just to see all the details.
haha, me too!! I stopped several times to take it all in and then looked up the sites of some of the products that I loved in her home. Great tour with a lovely lady!
Thank you- we have enjoyed our kitchen and all of the food and fun that we have in it! Also, thank you for your nice words about my dress- a friend designed it and it makes me love it even more.
Thank you so much! You are so kind- I have to give a shoutout to Kim Lolley who designed the dress. The dress comes in several colors and you can reverse the ruffle at the bottom to who a contrasting color. So clever!
Love those little miniatures on your Thanksgiving table, but the original ones were called 'Toby Jugs' and as far as I know were only ever decorative and never drunk from. My Mum had a lot of them, which my sister has, but I confess I found some of them a little creepy! I did keep a miniature 'John Barleycorn' which is a happy smiley mythical fellow who was "a personification of barley and of the alcoholic beverages made from it: beer and whisky" who not surprisingly had a sad end!
Thank you! Yes, you are right! They also go by Toby Jugs- and that is probably their original names. I think the smaller versions may have taken on other names or maybe the names were changed a bit here in America. They are definitely conversation pieces and a fun way to add a little history and humor to the kids' table. Thank you for sharing your memories of them with us, too! Those Toby fellows are a quirky bunch, aren't they? 😀
Hi! Thank you! Yes, of course- I am happy to help! From the dinner plate, the glasses go on the right side. The water glass is closest to the plate and then the wine glasses go next. Red is first next to water and white is next. I hope that is helpful!

Her interior designer friends clearly aren't up to much, placing a piece of furniture right in front of where you need to access a window seat (see 10:19 ie to the right of the brown chair) - what a bizarre thing to do! Even more odd (and dangerous for both your neck and eyesight) is placing the TV so high - you should NEVER look up at aTV, it should always be sited just above eye level - ask any optician. She really needs to start questioning her husband's decision a bit more .......
A lot of great fun things and all the color. I was very impressed with the bamboo frames that your husband made. All the artwork and the bright shelf from this is really great to see. But if you’re going to be on camera come and get your nails done. That was not a good look.
