One thing I truly love about new Alice is that they made her so pretty and beautiful in wonderland. I could just stop playing and look at her for hours!
I don't know I'm wrong but from the things I've watched, this is what I understand. Alice was a little girl, with a family. Her sister,parents with herself. The doctor/therapist guy thought that Elizabeth wanted him. But it's not clear if Elizabeth wanted him. He came in during the middle of the night, since he was so close with the family he was entrusted with a key to the home. I'm not sure, or he had just walked into the home. Going he house he took the key to Elizabeth's room, raped then had killed her most likely then had locked her door. Took the lamp downstairs, started the fire and left. Alice had been up a little bit before, she put out the fireplace before she went to sleep. Alice saw the doctor doing what he did just from her bed only realizing later that what really happened. Smoke was everywhere, the house was on fire. She had gotten out as the cat had showed her the way out of the house. Alice had gone to stay in the whore house with 'Nanny' while being in the asylum. After being taken out she had gone to work at the orphanage, the same doctor from when she was a child worked there. Alice cleaned (as much as we see) the orphanage. While going to see the doctor for therapy, he had known Alice since she a child. The doctor had been the one to start the fire in her home when she was a child. Alice when in wonderland as if was falling apart has rediscovered these memories putting it together of what happened that night that turned her life to what it was now. When wonderland was stable she had come back then killed the doctor pushing him onto the train tracks. Alice forever remains in a peaceful version of wonderland while it's mixed with the world that has been around her in the real world, sure wonderland is damaged but it's peaceful again.
It's not that she lived with Nanny while in the asylum, the Nanny took care of her while her parents were still alive. She's the closest thing she has left to a family.

You can change it so that you have one dress throughout the whole game if you like. Each dress has different properties, so you can even choose one to compliment your play style.

The dresses in this are DLC which you can buy from the Playstation store or unlock them on the PC by going through the system folders. The one in Pewdiepies video are the games story level costumes that are already in the game and change with each level but once you've worn a dress you can wear it again in any level. You can also unlock different weapons. Each dress has a special ability.
I'm not sure about a game, but I heard that American McGee is making a short animation to give some closure to the story, which is called Alice: Otherlands. They needed funding for and I don't know if they got enough or if they've completed it, though. I guess you can find out if you search for Alice: Otherlands!

Well she actually did ... the doctor wasnt there once in a scene (at the end) She was lost in her madness(talking to no one/herself) after that she "pushed" the doctor and gets killed by the train but there was no one wich means she pushed herself in the train. And that "londerland" thing is just the life after death...maybe her soul is trapped in the world instead of going to heaven or hell... Just kiddin the scene where bumby dissapeared was just a bug . Shes free

Soo no she didn’t kill her self she killed doctor bumby for rapping and killing her sister and burning down her house with her family locked inside Then as the game ends she walks out into a world where wonderland and the real world have merged together because she has to figure out a way to fix both the real work and her mind aka wonderland. Also Doctor bumby is not the source of the train she is. But doctor bumby help her create the train in her mind so he can control it. Basically Alice is the train and doctor bumby is the trains conductor

My interpretation (and I've seen others say something similar) is that, while Alice was already batshit crazy, killing the doctor may have saved her and others from what was more or less a child sex ring, but it also broke her completely. Killing creatures in your mind is one thing, killing an actual creature is something completely different. That's why London and Wonderland are merged into one world at the very end of the game.Sure, the doctor was a horrible person (and this is WITHOUT looking at the fact that he raped and killed her sister and murdered her parents) but he was still a living, breathing entity. It's like when people go to war; Soldiers are twice as likely to develop PTSD. In some cases, soldiers have had to kill CHILDREN to stop the from blowing up a town. (A friend of mine who was in the military had to watch this happen.)You know you did the right thing, but it still fucks with your head.

So long-story-short, Alice's family all died in a housefire when she was a child, she was the only survivor. After the traumatic experience she was sent to an asylum. After years in the asylum the doctors decided she was sane enough to be free again, so they sent her to an orphanage/psychologist. Alice returns to Wonderland after many years, and notices that everything has changed, and in chaos. I won't spoil anything, you have to play the game for the rest of the story. Trust me, it's a great game.
There is a game that explains most of this stuff,she isn't trying to prove herself.She's going insane and it shows her fighting all her guilt and fear that's mixed in one twisted nightmare and she is fighting for her sanity and her memories
