The 17 mm nut torque specs are 105 Nm, and the 13 mm are 34 Nm.

Those came out easily normally I have to use a lot more force, especially if the disk is a little rusted on the hub. I always use a bit if anti seize on the face to the hub, and on the centre, so it comes off easy next time. Yes those countersunk screws do not need much torque, they were there for the assembly line, you often see the vehicle come in with them long gone, or snapped off from some previous mechanic.
Nice pads there, reminds me I should probably look to changing mine, as they are down to around 6mm, but still good.

Hey Sean, thanks once again for your interaction, It is strange that some manufacturers still use those countersinks as the wheel bolts are responsible for holding the discs in place, as you say it does make assembly easier when the wheel is off, stay well my friend. Gary

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Gary, the production line has the wheel, hub and axles supplied as a unit, with brakes already on, and only has to put the axle into the gearbox, put the suspension arm bolts into the frame and the top of the shock in the body during assembly. Then it runs through an alignment section where a computer and robots grab the steering and do a full alignment, then the parts are tightened up to the correct torque, and the shell goes further down the line for finishing. Wheels are added only near the end, to give room to work, so the disks need to stay in position down the line. The little bolts are only there for that, otherwise yes the wheel bolts or studs do all the holding.

I bought the exact same Metelli HybriX pads for my Sandero 1.4 MPI. I glued the anti-squeel pads to the back of them. The mechanic had them installed, but I had a problem with the old pads where the outer pad was worn completelly, while inner ones where not. I told the mechanic that, but I think he had just replaced the pads. I don't think he cleaned and lubricated the slider pins. Now again I have a squilling noise that stops when I touch the brakes, or when I jerk the steering wheel to the side. Does that mean that the outer pads are still touching the disc when the brakes are not pressed? Or the he did not install the pads with the right orientation of the springs, because I noticed that they turn around easilly with hand.

Disc pads will always rub lightly against the disc while i n motion without the pedal depressed, but I will suggest you have the caliper serviced.

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Thanks. I will have to check the sliders myself. I ordered Ate Plastilube grease, I hope it is meant for use with slider pins.
