    Upgrading Razor MX125 electric kids motorcycle DIY Dewalt 20V drill lithium Battery Pack
    This upgrade worked out perfect for my daughter. She got older and heavier, so she wasn’t able to ride it anymore. Now that it has been converted to a dewalt battery pack, she can keep riding for hours.
    If your motorcycle trips a breaker while riding, you might need to bypass your rocker switch with a 30amp fuse. Some mx125 motorcycles came with a 13amp circuit breaker built into the rocker switch.

    if u put battery in horizontal it will be better

      Yes, you are correct, sliding the battery up into the battery adapter might be a bad idea if the battery doesn’t click in place. We have not had any issues with the battery coming off yet. My newer projects have the battery holder flipped 180 degrees so the battery slides down into the adapter. I haven’t tried installing the batteries horizontal yet. I will try horizontal mounting on the next conversion.

      Hi, sorry to hear you are having issues with your power rider 360 over volt to 20V. We didn’t have any issues with our 20v upgrade. My kids wanted to make ours even faster, so we upgraded to a larger motor, throttle controller and 2 dewalt batteries. The new upgrade has been amazing and very reliable. Here’s the video with our motor swap with new throttle controller.

      If you need some help getting the power rider 360 running, let me know. Check to see if your motor is still working by hooking up voltage directly to the motor to see if it spins. If the motor spins, then it might be your controller. If the controller is bad, you can install a 12v automotive car relay. They are less than $5 on Amazon. Just let me know if you have any questions or need any assistance. I am usually able to get these razors running without spending much money.

    Can i use a dewalt battery charger instead the adapter?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I only use the factory dewalt tool battery chargers. I don’t use the razor charger. The dewalt battery adapters are mounted up front and make it easy to remove the batteries to charge and swap out. Let me know if you have any other questions. The kids love these dewalt battery upgrades. Increase speed and unlimited ride time as long as you have multiple dewalt batteries to swap.

    I’d like to know if there any tip to reduce the noise of it ? Any suggestions?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The motor is pretty loud because it is chain driven. Converting the front wheel to a hub motor would quit down the sound a lot.

    I just think the battery connector should be so the battery dosent slide out down...

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you are right. Bumpy rides might cause the batteries to slide down. We haven’t had an issue yet. I will switch the battery adapters on my next build so the batteries are not facing down. Great tip. 😀

    It didn’t burn out the motor or the controller?

    • @DIYwithDUY
      @DIYwithDUY  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, the kids used it for a few weeks without issues. If you are worried about burning out the motor and controller, I would recommend getting a 20v to 12v regulator. It will reduce the voltage to a safe range for the factory motor. My kids wanted it even faster, so I just finished upgrading the power rider 360 with a larger 24V 350W motor, full range throttle controller and 2 dewalt batteries overvolting the 24v to 40v. They are so afraid of riding it now. No one dares to go full throttle with the 40v batteries. lol. The tutorial video will be posted soon.

      Not sure more speed will be safe because of the poor drift wheels and the fact that it drifts only...im thinking about locking the wheels straight...
