I own my Black/ Grey interior 2010 ZDX…. Got it in late 2017.. 🥰😍…. Waiting on my silver 2012 ZDX to arrive this coming week🤞🏽🤞🏽… my wife’s gonna kill me😁…. By the way a steal @ 74,000 original miles….
Nice find. 74,000 miles is very low for these ZDX’s. The Acura ZDX are such a good deal right now. I believe the price has bottomed out. They are such rare cars that they will most likely be collector cars in the future. I want to buy more, but my wife thinks I have too many cars and motorcycles already. 😀

Sorry about the fast forwarding. I was pretty new at making TH-cam videos when I posted that video. I try not to fast forward as much on my newer videos. Let me know if you have any issues replacing your seat belts.
Awesome vid... Definitely helps
Thank you so much for the video. I have a 2004 MDX. At the 33:00 mark where you connect the master switches to lower the window to allow you to insert the screws, my window didn’t move, I only heard a click in the window control module. I also had to make the light connection to the door panel before it would move the window. Other than that, everything went perfect.
Hi, I’m glad the video was helpful. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. I really appreciate it.
What's the top speed? Very nice.
Hi, I have not tested the top speed yet. Still working on connecting the front brake line before we do a top speed test. Thanks for checking out the video.
Thank you!
No problem. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting.
i heard there is some damage to bearins right at the cold start. Any thoughts on that? Something like the 10w60 oil is too much or something
Yes, you are correct. A common issue for the S85 V10 motor on the M5 and M6 is premature rod bearing wear. I have always warmed up the engine before driving the M6. I think the main issue is driving while the engine is cold. The oil doesn’t get a chance to circulate and lubricate the rod bearings. I am still on the original rod bearings at 146k miles and it’s still running perfect. I have always used 10w60 Castrol or BMW OEM oil. I have heard other people use 5w50, but I have never made the switch. My car is still running great and I think I will stick with the 10w60. I plan to do the rod bearing change at 150k miles. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for this tutorial! I was relieved to see instructions specifically for THE ZDX!
No problem. I am glad the video is useful. Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it.
@@DIYwithDUY let me know if you ever tackle the high mount brake light. Mine has one burnt bulb which is nothing really but it'd be nice to have it light up 100%
can u do it on a e100?
That’s a great idea, I will take some measurements to see if this 8” brushless hub motor will fit an E100. I’ll keep you updated.
If you’re talking more speed you want it to be built more substantially. Bigger model for sure, especially w the suspension
Please will you recommend this car for a daily driver? Are they reliable? Kindly advise please
Yes, this vehicle has been great as our daily driver for over 13 years of ownership. They are just as reliable as the more common Acura MDX. We make sure all of the maintenance and service is up to date. 217k miles and it still runs like a brand new vehicle.
@@DIYwithDUY Thanks a million...will definitely get it soonest
My 2012 TL randomly started to show the replace battery warning all of sudden. I replaced the battery a couple of months ago because the previous one would hardly start the car when it was cold.
Hi there. It sounds like your alternator might be going out. That happened to my MDX a few years ago. It would be intermittent when I checked the alternator output. Sometimes the alternator was pushing 14 volts to the battery and sometimes it only had 10 volts of output. I changed out the alternator and the problem went away. Try to get a multimeter and check the alternator voltage output. See if it’s charging more than 13 volts consistently. Another possibility is that there might be a slow battery drain on your TL when the engine is off. Sometimes the Bluetooth unit doesn’t turn off and drains the battery. Hopefully you figure out the issue.
Useless video I’ve ever seen never getting that time back
Why the 200 over a 300 ? Also the mods you’re doing usually come after the electronic upgrades any thoughts on doing those?
Hi, the main reason why I am building this e200 instead of an e300 is because the frame is slightly smaller and more compact. We want to be able to put this into our car trunk when I am done with the build. The suspension upgrade increased the wheelbase by 3” which will barely fit in our rear trunk. I have parts ordered to make the scooter handle bar fold down similar to more expensive off-road scooters. You are right, I usually upgrade the electronics and speed first. I have never seen a Razor scooter with full front and rear suspension, so I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do it successfully. Now that we know the scooter suspension worked perfectly, we will add a 350w brushless hub motor and full range throttle controller next. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the channel and commenting. I really appreciate it.
Can’t wait to see the build! Will most likely copy so be detailed!! lol 😂

Hi, this particular unit does not have a front camera input or sound input when you are in reverse camera mode.
Hey Duy, ever have any power steering issues with your ZDX?
Hi, I have not run into any power steering issues yet on our ZDX. Is your ZDX leaking fluid, Making whining noises, or is it difficult to turn the steering wheel? Maybe I can help diagnose your issue.
@@DIYwithDUY it’s whining quite a bit. It also is well below the minimum mark when I checked the fluid
@@Keeppdx82nd Hi, Does the whining go away when you top it off with power steering fluid? If the system is low on fluid, then there is most likely a slow leak somewhere in the system. I would check the power steering lines, power steering pump, rack and pinion for any oil residue. Try to pinpoint where the leak is coming. Hopefully it is leaking from the power steering pump or power steering lines. That is much easier to change than the complete rack and pinion assembly. I have changed out the rack and pinion on other vehicles and it was always a lot of work. Let me know if you find where it’s leaking from. I can look in the OEM ZDX service manual and provide some more info on replacing the parts you need.
Hey Duy, I replaced my oil filter housing gasket last weekend and it went well. Thank you for explaining how to remove that wire clip since it is not very intuitive, I would’ve ended breaking it I think! Thanks again, Danny 😊

No funciona correctamente el micro a través de CarPlay cuando el coche está en marcha, hace muchísimo ruido y es imposible la comunicación
Hi, I have not tried using a microphone through CarPlay with this system. A lot of car audio systems can make buzzing noise when the ground wire is not making a good connection. You can try to increase the ground wire size from the battery to the car frame to see if it helps.
Did you have to buy a din sleeve?
Yes, the single din sleeve was purchased years ago when I had a pioneer cd player in the car. Similar kits can be found on Amazon if you search for “Miata single din dash kit”.
Hmm I've never tried closing my hood with the alligator teeth. E60 M5. I was thinking if there was a way to run the flat loop cable which also came with the BMW brand battery tender as alternative to alligator teeth and run the quick disconnect thru the air hole above the wheel well so it stays connected and only have to use quick connect when I want to charge without always having to use the hood.
Yeah, that’s a good idea and would work well. I use the flat loop cable on my motorcycle and leave it permanently attached. It makes it easy to connect and disconnect the battery tender.
Will this fit my Corvette c6 with carbon fiber fin and sides
I’m not sure if this particular cover will fit your Corvette C6. This cover didn’t last that long either. I recently upgraded to Coverking brand car covers when I found out they manufactured the oem Infiniti car covers. They have been great and I use them on 2 of my vehicles. They are vehicle specific and fit like a glove. A little pricey, but it has been worth it. I have the silverguard plus and Coverbond 4. Both covers have been great, but I prefer the silverguard plus because the material is thicker.

Wow i just had replaced mines this past summer and i got less miles then you I'm at 125000 right now
Yeah, these ac hoses can go at any time. This is the second time I have worked on the ZDX A/C. I replaced the A/C compressor about 5 years ago at around 121k miles. My ZDX is getting to the age and mileage that a lot of little things start to break. My A/C is ice cold right now, but the Drivers side air mix motor just broke on us. I have the part ordered, just need to find time to install it and make a video. 😀 Thanks for checking out these ZDX videos. I really appreciate it.

Hi , my friends m6 e63 has an issue , when full throttle the cars throws a DSC error and enters limp mode , cuts power and wont let him rev past 4-5k he got from the previous owner a kit of actuators gears and he told him a change of them will solve the issue but its not the full kit those are just the gears if u have a tip or something ill be gratefull
Hi there, a lot of things can cause DSC and limp mode errors. Do you know the exact codes that the car is throwing? I have tried the throttle actuator gear replacement and it doesn’t work unless you also change out the mosfet transistors on the throttle actuator circuit board. Changing the gears gave me a little time without limp mode, but after about 1 to 2 months, it started happening again. I ended up changing both throttle actuators and both idle actuators and the car has been great for over 20k miles. That fixed my issue with limp mode. Let me know if you know the exact code or if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the video.
Painful looking. Now replacement is a painful..

Hey Duy I've just changed the whole vtec solenoid and I'm still having a check engine light come back on i changed this past Saturday and cleared the check engine light do you think i have to give the car couple days to register the new vtec solenoid cause the same code came back on
Hi, the Vtec solenoid should register pretty soon after installation of a new replacement. It might be something else that is causing the check engine light. What check engine codes are you getting?
P2467 that's the only code
@@deshawndavis2510 I haven’t had this engine code personally, but here’s a good video that might help. Most of the Honda/Acura V6 engines are similar. th-cam.com/video/rgF6pNIaCxc/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared There is a commenter on that video that said their main engine oil pressure sensor connector was bad and when they fixed the connection, the P2647 code went away.
Okay thanks alot Duy
So just to make sure you leave the existing motor, controller with throttle, and battery and you add a new ones to make it stronger but how do you activate the old ones so you achieve the turbo you were saying? Btw I will be building my own for my yt channel and for a science fair project for school!! And also silly question but how do you turn it on, should I get a controller kit with a thumb throttle and key start
Hi, I never hooked up the old motor. I was waiting for a larger sprocket to arrive and it got lost in the mail. The original motor and sprocket rotated slower than the new motor and wouldn’t provide any extra benefit unless we upgraded the sprocket for higher speeds. I put the bike together and it was way too fast as it was with the new motor. My daughter never went full throttle on the bike, so adding extra speed with the second motor was not necessary for us. You are correct, you can add a thumb controller to activate the existing motor and use it with the second motor. You will also need a longer chain to connect both motors to the rear sprocket. There are a couple of different ways to do this. You can use 2 sprockets on the rear if you wanted to keep them on separate chains. Good luck with your build. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the video.
@@DIYwithDUY how would you make you throttle work for both motors and I would just have to connect the chain to both of the gear prices of the motor than to the rear sprocket of the bike correct?
Hi, making your throttle work for both motors would be pretty simple. The controller has a 2 wire output. Connect both motors to those 2 wires. They can be connected either way. If the motor rotates the opposite direction, flip the wires and the motor will rotate the opposite way. Connect both motors to the chain. The Issue would be the RPM’s of the motors are different.
@@DIYwithDUY ok so I think I’m just gonna remove the original battery, controller and motor to reduce the weight and then I will add upgraded parts
Also how do you connect both battery wires to the controller when there is one

Hey Duy, totally off topic, but have you had issues with the weatherstrip coming loose on the outside of the windows? The rubber weatherstrip right between the bottom of the windows and chrome trims
Hi there. Yes, our ZDX also had that issue a few years ago. The little rubber strip towards the back of the rear door stuck out a little. I put a little bit of gorilla glue contact adhesive onto the rubber molding and pushed it back under the chrome trim. Hey Duy, I’m glad you did this video. I tried to remove my front bumper to replace my fog lights a month ago and couldn’t because of the 10mm bolts under the bumper, just right in front the wheels, both side, are stucked. I tried WD40 and other stuff, but still can’t. Didn’t try with heat because of plastic. I will have to find a way. Thanks again for your great content for ZDX owners, Danny
Hi Danny, no problem. Glad to help. I will also post the front bumper installation video soon. Rusted bolts are always tricky to remove. I am wondering if a rounded bolt extracter would help your situation. Here is a cheap set I found on amazon that has a 10mm size. amzn.to/4eyLOby Here’s what I do when I run into difficult bolts on bumpers. I try using locking vise grips to grip the head. If that doesn’t work, I get a Dremel or grinder and cut a Line right on the bolt head. Then use a flat head screw driver and hammer to unthread the bolt. Last resort is grinding off the bolt head completely with a grinder. Once the bolt head is gone and bumper is off, you can use the vise grip to remove the bolt treads. The bolt and clip will need to be replaced. Good luck and let me know when you are able to get the bolt off.
@@DIYwithDUY Hey Duy, my problem is not a rounded bolt head, it’s the treads that are seized. Nothing’s moving. Based on your advice, you are right, I didn’t think about grinding the bolt head, then remove the bumper and have access to the rest of the bolt after and remove it. There is a metal bracket in which the bolt is strewed, will this bracket stay in place and not causing any problem when removing the bumper cover? Thanks man, your help is much appreciated! Danny
@@Danny-pk9ht Hey Danny, yes, once you grind the bolt head off and remove the front bumper, you will have access to the U-nut clip that the 10MM bolt screws into. The U-nut stays in place and you can use pliers to remove and replace. Make sure you use a lot of masking tape on the bumper around the bolt. You don’t want to slip with the angle grinder or dremel and scratch your bumper. Here is a link to replacement U-nuts. I’m not sure if it’s identical to the ZDX U-nut, but it should work. amzn.to/4exCQek

@@DIYwithDUY That bike is pure art. Thanks for the link.
That's gonna flip you over. Leave the scooter alone.
Yeah, you are right. Scooters can be pretty dangerous. The E200 scooter is too bumpy and slow from the factory. My kids don’t want to ride it the way it is. I figured if we upgrade it, my kids will ride it. They will definitely wear their safety gear and motorcycle helmet on this scooter once it is completely built to handle off road trails. We have 10” off road wheels to install and rear extended swing arm suspension. I build aftermarket motorcycles parts for a living and can weld extra frame supports if needed.
Would love to see where you remove old gas from
Hi, you should be able to remove the gas from the petcock/fuel shut off hose that goes into the carburetor. Fast forward to 31:09 in the video. Turn the fuel shutoff to “ON” position and drain the fuel through the hose. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks for watching the video.
Link to that shock ?
Hi, Thanks for checking out the video. Here is the link to the front shock. amzn.to/47J4tyw. I also added links to the axle in the video description. Check it out if you need the axle too.
If upgrading battery to 20v or 24v dewalt do you need a larger motor or control unit etc. Just concious of more power through it an blowing other things on the bike
Hi, you are correct. If you overvolt the original 12v motor, there is a chance that it will burn out the factory motor depending on the terrain and weight of the rider. If you go uphill or off road, it may strain the motor too much and cause damage to the original motor. My 50 pound daughter had a blast on the power rider going back and forth on our street. She wanted the power rider 360 even faster, so I did a complete motor swap and controller swap to her power rider 360. th-cam.com/video/XvX3cYZmJfQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.
Very nice video brother
Thanks for your help. I was looking for a video on how to change the pump. I watched a few and went outside to start mine then noticed that I had 2 belts. The others video didn't show how to replace the pump with it's own belt. You saved me from ending the cars life.😂
Glad it helped, thanks for watching the video. Let me know if you run into any issues.
That is the wrong belt diagram . I've seen it on other videos. Because you're car is like mine which has it's own belt for the power steering pump.
Hi, Thanks for letting me know the diagram was incorrect. It was a little difficult to find diagrams that showed both the serpentine belt and power steering belt. Hopefully, you were still able to complete the belt change with the information in the video. Let me know if you have any issues with the belt replacement.
Where do you get the replacement pad ?
Hi, I purchased this set of pedals. amzn.to/3N3vgw2
