I love how the ambiance of the fog illuminating the battlefield adds to the fact that, you can’t see much, but you know the battle- no matter how many ships the UNSC have- will be a complete loss due to the sheer firepower of The Covenant.
New computer. New animation. Testing it with a quick sequence and decided to clean it up as a little short. Lost some of the fog crispness to TH-cam compression but it is what it is. Enjoy

Imagine the horror stories told by crew of destroyed battlefleets picked up in lifeboats about 28 to 30km long ships of unbridled power that rip apart even Punic supercarriers with ease. HIGHCOM would dismiss it publicly as rumors. But both them and ONI know they are real....and they have few weapons that can stop ONE....and they have no idea how many the Covenant have.
@@deloreanrc Thing is HIGHCOM didnt see it as a rumor - this was sort of why infinity got made originally then people got pissed and it got reconned via banished.
@@deloreanrc From what I'd remember only 2 or 3 CSO Super Carriers and about a dozen or so CAS Assault Carriers were made, because the Covenant didn't really have a major shipyard only a few planets and High Charity itself
Really like the upgrades done to the Covenant ship hulls light wise, makes them seem even bigger and more dangerous! Also the camera work was amazing, lots of shots of both UNSC and Covenant ships lifting out of the fog making it even creepier. And lastly the Assault Carrier reveal...!
dude, the cloudy scenery and deep sound effects make this feel like an underwater submarine fight and it feels sooo coool, ominous and scary in a cool way
Honestly, this feels like a movie, the tension created when you see the little longsword passing through the fog next to those giant ships while they fight feels amazing
Also- whei I first saw this, i thought of the scene from First Strike, where the Ascendant Justice was in that weird slipspace bubble fighting in a fog, where they could barely see anything.
Dude your camera work is getting insane Those wide panning shots zooming in and out really gave the impression of a computer-assisted pilot trying to navigate their way through a naval battle. I also LOVED the fog all around, adding to the impression of an ant crawling around giants fighting in the dark.
I absoletely love the lighting and the fog-esc effect. Massive ships creeping out the mist like monsters creates a terrifying sense of unknowability and terror
I do wish you could do a space battle of Ancient Human ships against Forerunner Ships, it would be amazing, but I know that is asking much considering the limited number of models.
This looks good but I am confused. Are we in space or atmosphere, if space I'm not sure the fog is nessasary unless there is a rendering limitation or something. Either way the longsword movements look very natural and the narrative atmosphere is pretty good
