Cool colour mate you can't beat the xr8 engine had my mandarin mica one nearly 20 years strong as an ox and reliable if you keep up the maintenance only thing I had changed when new was I had titanium guides and chain dine along with billet oil pump as the early version had a tendency to chain wear and oil pump drifting at high RPMS other than that a great model to own
Cheers mate! I don't get the bad wrap over these engines! Make decent power and reliable. People say they are slow but compared to what? This one did a 13.66 down the quarter, quicker than my old barra turbo of the time which people rave about 🤣 but will be doing the timing chain kit for sure, but as it sits, no rattle on start up and still running mint 👌
@@RossHollandAU very underrated engine here way better than us version I'm ex GMH worker and I bought mine because I'd had a crap run with VN and VT ss commodores they just didn't cut the mustard stock like the boss engine did the ba v8 will become one of the most sought after cars because everyone concentrated on the 6 complete opposite of 70s I'm old enough to rember back then lol pity they never got the aftermarket performance mods and research like GM stuff but I wouldn't change mine from original it's to reliable
i know its your car man but since your running nos dont blow her shes such an awesome engine dont see many of these around they are way harder to get your hands on another one if you blow it
I agree! That's why I'm only going a very small shot... some would argue its not worth the hassle, but I'm confident a 30 hp shot won't even bother it 😎

I think you should get a turbo terry and make videos on how to do shit with it, would help lots with me personally!
