Yeah that's it. I have a phantom xr8 that's about to undergo a full resto. Freshen it all up and just make it a bit more spritely. Absolutely love it

Good old 5.4 boss motor...reminds me of my old BF Super Pursuit I used to own about 10 years ago that had a 2.6L Kenne Bell with 4.11's. Was an absolute tyre fryer

I've always thought yellow suits that body. The black bonnet makes it extra badass. That furious V8 rasp is one juicy cherry on the top.

I have a B series ute and she’s na nothing spec but getting her up above 4K with some twisty corner’s hitting gears is so much fun I love the sound an feeling… I also have an F6E an it’s just different… loving the sound of this thing 👌👌

I love the colour combo black on yellow.. it's gorgeous.. I've just bought an XR8 bonnet for my Neo Blue XR6, I know what yas are thinking "but it's a six" I don't care I love the look of the BF XR8 sadly I just couldn't find one in my price range, I've been racking my brain for a sweet black n blue combo pattern was thinking of the XA GT stripes with the bulge sides Neo but I don't like the sudden colour change (blue to black) from the bumper to bonnet around the grill this yellow n black stripe combo however is sweet as I may just borrow this lmfao... N yea love the 5.4 raw I guess I'll have to settle for a 2.5" exhaust n a mild cam job...

Seems to me Ross near every damm B series XR Falcon that came through the workshop nearly ALWAYS suffered from rear bushes and diff issues ,besides that they were pretty much bulletproof the taxis went for miles and miles so i guess thats got to count for something,outstanding editing ,spot on mate

hi Ross , if you ever visit NSW mid-coast you can drive my BF wagon XT, but it is stock as a rock. Also in average condition, and could do with a bit of suspension work as our pot holes are out of hand ATM.... 🤣

It has all the mods you want in a car like oil leaks, dog smell, Macdonalds, Hungry Jack's and stale beer farts.

I wonder if anybody has ever replaced the control blade IRS on these BA/BFs and replaced them with double wishbone IRS off the AU XR8 which not only allow the rear end to be planted better, but also possibly allow for a larger set of custom rear wheels like 305s.

Sick car, just wondering if it’s got stock internal rotating assembly & what the red line is set to. It spun to 6.5k on boost which is pretty damn decent

Yes its still stock internals. Stage 2 is to build the motor. Red line is set to 7k.
If thats the Kuhmo Ps 91 tyres that are supposed to be for supercars then thats your problem. Even Rob at Monsta Torque drove my G6E(543RWKW) with the 285 PS91 and he was amazed at how crappy they are. Cant beat the Toyo R888R tyres for grip, a little noisy but awesome for grip.
Can confirm, rubbish tyres.
But they are the best in the segment for price.

The sound of a Boss shits all over the LS. That car really needs some decent rubber, some Michelin PS4's or something.
Really? LS sounds better in my opinion with an aftermarket exhaust and they're easier to modify, but this is something different...
That's what they had going for them, against the LS when they were new (according to the reviews at the time)
Everything is subject to opinion of course, but in my books, the Boss 2x0/Barra 220/Windsors are the beefiest sounding Ford v8s.
Well, as someone who has an LS, it sounds identical. Check out the review Johnny did on my ute, search supercharged ve ss, it's yellow and black, same as this one.

I don’t care how fast a Tesla Plaid can go, nothing can compare with the sound and feel of a V8, especially a monster like this. You can add the Barra i6 as well. Electric motors just have no soul.

You should mention power figures in just kw and hp, instead of rwkw/hp. It makes the car seem more powerful, might be better for views and in the thumbnail

@@RossReviewsau l have a BAXR8 since new and she is still the 260 Boss 5.4 but cold air intake, Defillipo Tuned length headers high flow cats Herrod sports exhaust from cats back with the muffler in front of the IRS removed for straight pipes, only rear muffler remains. Enjoyable drivers car and those modest mods has made significant improvements over standard but this BF is a beast.

@@giovannitodaro589 The heads on the B series GT's were actually built to take the pressures of s/c, the GT also received 15 improvements to the engine over the xr8. I have a whipple s/c BA GT and she does 80-200 in 5.7 seconds. 0-100 is to much of a hand full, but the low down torque is very enjoyable for everyday driving
