That was my Uncles mf 1200 it was used u to pull a drag lowloader wih a Poclain 60 on it.It was parked up in 1987/88 after my uncle was in bad health a couple of young lads broke the windows and tryed to set her alight .it use to pull a Bedford tk tipper body with a drawbar might have a couple of photos of it i was 9or 10 when it was parked
Now that's a restoration project. If it takes as long as the last one in the fixing shed you've got me for the next 10 years lol. Sure Rome wasn't built in a day. Great video Phil. Keep her lit.
We’re just going to watch you while we have our evening meal 🥘 lovely to see you .Hope your calves are getting better we love all your tractors 🚜 and father Phil hope Uncle Ian is coming along we will enjoy watching you .Good luck 🍀 the best farmer in the world 🌎.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Hello from France love your videos a bit hard understanding for me but have been watching sins 2019! I have got a 1200 myself her in France and one youtuber helped me a lot in understanding my tractor is cowfarmerdan he took time to answer my emails very nice of him ! Keep on with your videos love them cheers from France
I love the 1200 Massey I used one for plough for many years it pulled like a train, I wish I could find one to add to my tractor collection. Great video Phil 👍🏻
we had a 1200 for a couple of years, then bought a 1250 all she did was pull the 5 furrow dowdeswell each year on the 1200 acres, and power the grain blower for the loading the permastore silo, both beasts of a tractor ,but sadly just a bit to late and rapidly overtaken by the 2000 series. but ours stayed right till we sold up in 99 , only had 4000 hours when she went
Very nice to see those 2 tractors sitting side by side in your yard. It will be great to see the yellow one in the shed being fixed. I hope Uncle Ian is doing better.
Hey Phil and father Phil, brilliant, brilliant just brilliant video. Been waiting for months for news on the 1200. So looking forward to seeing uncle Ian plowing with it, brilliant 👍
Never had the pleasure of driving a 1200 but always loved them so gel you’ve now got two hope uncle Ian gets to go ploughing with his that will be the video of the year
Interesting projects to get your teeth into there Phil and Dad . I never spotted one around these parts so i am looking forward to learn about them on your channel .
Ah brilliant video Guys, what a challenge 👏, but it's no bother to a genius of a man like Father Phil. And of course Farmer Phil and Robbie. Father Phil is a genius and a pleasure to listen to. I hope that the calves are doing better Liv.
I think i would take the backend off the red one and then put it on the yellow one, that way you would have the hydraulics and lift arms set,any way a great project and it will be good when it is complete.
Brilliant stuff Phil, two fantastic project's. Well ware on the new purchase. You may have to order several pallets of time Phil. 👍🏼 It'll be great to see both of them in action on your farm.
Only ever drove one 1200 , was fitted with a turbo, beast of a machine, spent a day slurry tanking with dad on a fiat 80-90, (nearly as good as a massey) and cousin on a case 1494, i had a 1500 gallon tanker and they had 1300 gallon's, i still managed more loads than them, happy memories
Great video phil. You will need to get a bed & electric kettle in workshop for Father Phil !!! Also as many pallets of time as you can. You wont run out of video material for next few years !!! Look forward to all future videos. Keep em coming lad.
Love the 2725 as a kid had the Britain's 2680 and neighbour had a 2720 as main ploughing and tillage tractor...she was a beast in the early 80s when a big tractor was 80hp.
Another great project in the making, father phil should consider getting someone in, to do his field work. Then he could spend a lot more time in the work/restore shop .This would be his pallet of time that he so needs. He would be in his glory turning out all those restored tractors over time & he could have his own channel for us to follow his progress etc.Life is too short to put those projects off.🙏🙏❤❤
have a look a olly blogs video today as hes visited massey dave i think in the uk who restores a lot of them and has good few pieces for the 1200/1250 and maybe able to help yous out in some way
Did ye ever hear of an IMT tractor a cousin of mine had a dealorship for dem one time here in co limerick and I must buy one of dem to have around the place again, best of luck to ye all. Ye are great people
Have a look at cowfarmerdan's TH-cam and maybe drop him a message he has a running 1200 and maybe worth picking his brains. Great to see the work yous put in! 👍
As you sit in the seat the RH pump is the steering and Multi power LH pump is for back spools. The RH pump sucks from the transfer box through a filter, the output pipe goes over to a valve for the multipower and a flow divider for the steering.
I have been working with 1200s for 40 years and know them inside out, what is the serial number of the yellow one? It looks like it could be a late one.
Jaysus lads, ye will have to be reigned in, is that 3 tractors in 2022 now?? 😂 Best of luck doing up the yellow one, looking forward to seeing its progress
Phil, there were a number of articles in classic tractor in the last year on the artic MF's. Think the 1200's were on that so there is some contact names in that. Ye may already have seen it but i'll see what's in the article.
An MF breaker in wakefield Yorkshire has 3 maybe 4 in for breaking if you need any major parts, I got some hubs of him a few years ago, didn't know about the date in the seat frame you learn something everyday, I'm going to check mine today👍
You could do with communicating with CowfarmerDan he does a channel on TH-cam and does a lot with a Massey 1200 perhaps he may have parts u need or you may have parts that. Could be useful to him, his TH-cam channel is called CowfarmerDan 👍👍👍
I suspect that you guys could have the oldest surviving 1200 out there. A neighbor of mine had a 1200 for years from the early 80's up to at least 2015 , I don't know what happened to it after that it might be still over there somewhere but he had a big clear out of scrap around 2015 and I would think that it went then . I will ask his son if it is still about the place as my friend is dead since 2016 and if it is I will let you know, now it is worn out completely I would think that it had well over 25000 hours up and as it was used for lime and fertiliser spreading for much of its life it would be well rotten.
Lad I love your fleet but if I was use I'd be putting evrey penny into fertilizer , even for next year , 80 percent comes from Russia , yas won't get it anymore at any price if I'd extra cash I'd be buying any I could get to put by
On the flip side , a fifth of world wheat ( among other crops) is grown in Ukraine and Russia , the futures trading had to be suspended yesterday as the price was going up so much , if I could id be growing every acre in wheat , beef will be a problem as like I said fertilizer will be non existent to grow grass and feed price will be stupid , also all the c02 needed to package meat is a by product of fert production , will be desperate shortage and that that is made I the UK is made using gas which is being cut off , there will be famine comming in years folks ,
If you follow Olly blogs he has a Massey 1200 for restoration and he called to a man called Massey Dave who restores them . I sure he would give you his details for assistance especially as it is for your uncle
Hey Phil, I love the video's that your doing. Keeps me close to home being on the far side of the world in OZ playing with all the big gear 😉. Is there any chance you can give my little nephew a shout out for his conformation next week considering i cant get home for it. He's mad in to tractors and wants to be a vlogger like you. His name is Jack Fitzgerald from killanne in Wexford it would make his day. Love to hear back. P.s keep up the good work
Today they posted the video of the restoration finished fair play lads
Father Phil is a mighty man for explaining things, should have been a teacher,,,,,,,

Father Phil said "love to see the photos and any other information you have on it, would ne greatly appreciated "
Could listen to father Phil all day
Great video Phil I could listen to your father all day Wath a wealth of knowledge he has god bless you all stay safe🙏🇮🇪

3 people called in the comments last video 🤣🤣🤣 I'd love to help out father Phil is a wealth of knowledge
I don’t know a huge amount about tractors tbh but the enthusiasm for this hardship is infectious 😂
Bro out in his shorts, he’s a differnt gravy 😂
Bro is on the milk replacer and the seaweed mix 💪
Blood must be hydraulic oil!
That gravy is strong stuff
@@pauldoc567 Probably anti freeze

@@FARMERPHIL3690 great to hear about the calves liv. Huge effort, but fair play to you all.

Hope ye get it running & you're uncle gets to enjoy working with it, 👍
Great video, hope you get them both going especially the yellow one for uncle.
Brilliant stuff... a big journey for us all to follow
I think i would take the backend off the red one and then put it on the yellow one, that way you would have the hydraulics and lift arms set,any way a great project and it will be good when it is complete.
Nice to see the 1200's together, there was a little bit of water in the exhaust on the yellow one :p
Can't wait to see the 1200 running
Best of luck with it 👍🏻
The big dog cleaned up well 👌
Hope u get them both running
The red one defo would look gd on the big square baler

Great video as always, if you watch olly blogs on TH-cam he got a 1200 and has been to see a guy that restored then might be worth a watch.
Drop a message to Cow Farmer Dan, he seems to know them very well or could put you on to the right man 👍
Great video Phil I think it looks better in the yellow

@Olly Blogs Agricontract farmer that pump looks like it could be your issue too
Nice video Phil, father Phil is going to be busy

If I had those two 1200 I would take the engine out the yellow one and put in the red one and use the yellow for spares.
Great engines them old a6.354s just a dog to turn over, has the 1200 one battery or 2 like its 2wd counterparts in the 11x5 series.
Should have two batteries.
Phil you should contact cow farmer Dan he has a very clean 1200 in working order he would give u a lot of tips on them he's massey mad like urselfs
The yellow always throws me for a spilt second I think off a "Muir Hill"
Dave the Massey chamberland guru. Restored a few 1200
Both pumps are the same, one runs spools, the other steering and MP
I understand there is a letter on the serial number, letter changes each year
they are special tractors them 1200
Great video phill you would have some outfit if you had the two of them both going 👌
re bonjour merci pour cette belle vidéo 😍👍👍👍
Well Phil hope you got some footage at the show yesterday 😅
Can't wait to see uncle ians face when he sees it

Ye certainly like a challenge.
would you not be better restoring the red one ? The earlier serial number would be more "valuable" if she is as early a model as you think .
Hi farmer phil love the videos. What out of all the tractors yee have and that you and father phil agree on is the best tractor that you own??
That's what happens when you don't buy tractors as much all of a sudden they all appear and give you plenty to do over the next few years
If you follow Olly blogs he has a Massey 1200 for restoration and he called to a man called Massey Dave who restores them . I sure he would give you his details for assistance especially as it is for your uncle
