You folks run a farm and have good sized families. You work on your own equipment and have your plates pretty full. I appreciate every video you post whenever you post them. You're gracious enough to bring us along and that's awesome. Thank You and God Bless You Welkers!

You are turning a Big Bud into a MONSTER Bud....I think Big Bud should approve of this big time and have a special "Welker Edition" Pack developed by you guys for their Big Buds! LONG LIVE WELKER FARMS!
@@WelkerFarms I am sure if you go over to Harve Montana you can put a proposal in to the team there and see how goes from there! You are a long time client I am sure they will like anything you guys say! As for specs for you guys, minimum Net horsepower...1000bhp and enough Torque to rip up most of Montana!
@WelkerFarms Use the extra ponies to drive a hydrostatic PTO assembly, tucked in on the back of the frame. Then you would have a high HP PTO for grain carts. 😅
Scott, 4yrs ago you learnt how powerful Morphine can be & although we knew you'd suffered, when we saw you in hospital surrounded by close family & sedated with pain meds it was funny to hear you talking & expressing your gratitude to those that love you dearly. ❤️
not as impressive currently working on my grandpas old 1945 ford 2n tractor he gave it to me now getting it running puts a smile on my face to know the old tractor going to live again love the videos
Good progress. Lots of ideas /suggestions, completely gut the cab, make a new dash using the Peterbuilt dashboard and instrumentation probably modified to utilize the proper instrumentation and switches. heat and AC components from the Pete duct works can be fabricated with PVC plumbing and or salvage parts from the bin site. Go with electric over hydraulic valving for the implements with the actual valve body outside of the cab, possibly a large 4 or 5 spool excavator valve mounted on the back half of the tractor with 2 large supply/return lines and a wire harness. Your cooling package could be mounted independent of the engine and use either an electric or hydraulic fan package. Note the closer the shroud is to the fan the more efficient the coolers are, a little makes a huge difference. You can always move the hood or whole front assembly forward 6 to12 inches and use a filler panel between the hood and cab .
Y'all are almost making a new tractor, almost from scratch. That's the same idea that both Big Bud and Stieger started out with, y'all have a frame that they didn't have. Excellent project, idk if "restomod" is the term, or if there's another way to explain it.👍👍
Oh it'll get a new paint job, the question is: Will it be in line with the other Buds or will they keep the green & yellow pinstripes that are on there from the previous owner? Tune in next time to find out. 😁
I thought it would be pretty cool to take the dash out of that peterbilt 359 or what ever it is you have outside. Probably be more work than what it’s worth, but old school pete dash in the bud would be pretty top notch
You don’t realize how big the buds are. Wow. The 30.5l32 look so small and there a big tire. I would so love to do a project like that. I’ve done truck gliders but to change a whole design would be be so much entertainment. Love to see what you do with the cab. Good stuff
I'm so impressed what does family you're not afraid to take on a Monumental task like this I would have looked at that and said no way really am looking forward to Watching this progress into a new big bud tractor
Leg-Arms, you, and Nick, could teach Critical Thinking to so many young people today. I.E., cause and effect. Your approach to what you want to do with the tools available is world class. I would like to be working alongside of you.
This if you have the room for it, I know the newer Deere tractors and maybe even the Case ones put a lot of the controls on that right armrest. Might be something to think about. I know operating newer modern tractors with all that stuff right there is really convenient because you don't have to reach for any controls.
Are you going to install airbag under your cab, would be cool? Helps against noise, vibration and a bumby ride. Driver comfort is very importend. Greetings from Switzerland and God bless you.
You guys need a mag drill! Mine can drill up to a 4" diameter hole in up to 4" thick plate. Could drill those spacers and also the new frame holes. They are affordable now.
It’s too late for the back axle, but if you stacked the plates in place you could use a mag drill to cut the three holes at once. Vevor makes one that’s surprisingly good.
If the old Pete has an air ride cab be nice to incorporate on the cab so have air ride cab. There was a series 1 bud for sale in Ohio that had a john deere seat with command arm that used the JD finger switches for hydraulics
Would have used either the forklift or the skid steer and a chain to get the drawbar out. I know 620's, 595's, and 580's are quite a bit different than that bar but little more safety and no worries.
So did you guys consider splitting the cab front to back and adding a foot or so, so you could add a buddy seat. The safety glass would be easy enough to alter and i assume you are going to paint the new bud. you guys are quite capable. these shows are my favourite.
Great project, looking forward to seeing the end result. Would have loved to see you put a electric motor kit in from Autonomous Tractor Corporation. No transmission, not pto's, no gears etc. Maybe next time! ;-)
That hole issue only sounds like an issue if you are flame cutting. A mag drill and an annular cutter or a mill could easily cut a 1" hole through 2" of steel
Sorry for the delay in this series, we'll get back on a 2 videos a week schedule. The next video will be, transformative 😉.
can we count on this promise, you told us 2,5 years ago with 2 videos a week and you haven’t delivered it very many times 😢😢😢
@@fynbo1007 I am thankful to see this series, even if I have to wait for it.

This is a hell of a winter project!
Happy Sunday to my favorite Dirt farmers.

Happy Sunday to you too!

was thinking the same. I'd see if the engine could be tweaked to 750hp just to make a point ;)
We need a good 20,000 more
Lbs to utilize that hp... But I mean why not!

I'm bolted to the tv watching you guys! Thanks for sharing. God bless you and your family from Tennessee!
Thanks for watching!
I think case ih red cab foam that matches the seat and black floor carpet would be👌
Your Dad cracks me up, I love his sense of humor and he is super punny.
Just the little bit you talked bout the incident with the drawbar gave me the shivers Leg Arm. You guys be safe working on the Bud
Bob, the PUN Master is back! Esp when you were just "chill'n" with the AC.... all I had but great to see the progress 👍😎✝

Quilted sound proofing/upholstry like in old semi trucks would look awesome
I could watch these videos all day and night. Awesome work!
It really feels like I am right there with you, in the workshop. This video series is awesome.
I get exhausted just watching you guys working! Keep SAFE!!!
This is going to be, a cool project to watch come together.
Always enjoy Bob's puns. This project is going to be amazing. Thank you.
Faith, family, FABRICATE, farm
Heck yeah, a new Welker Farms video!!!! God bless
Quite the monumental project fellas.
This tractor is going to be a colossus ,amazing episode one again 👍
loving this build.....safety first guys..
I appreciate Bob just popping in with puns every once in a while. I imagine that makes shop work more entertaining
2:35 Now that's a big wrench!
This is awesome, guys
i love winter projects.....
20:09 Nice to see you trust the shop cleaner with the jack, that will definitely boost his confidence 👍👍👍👍
Great work! 💥 Happy Holidays 🎄
Loving this build.

I can't imagine Scott's wife would let him uh...live unscathed if he messed with another draw bar alone. 😂
He better not get hurt again!
@@WelkerFarms Just make sure there is another person in the workshop.
Super excited about this build Amazing 👍
I so look forward to these videos cause I know it's about the building of the 770 Big Bud custom made by Welker Farms.
Hey guys. Hope you and yours all had a great Thanksgiving. ❤ love your videos
Love it...this would be so much fun!!!
I love this tractor already.
Sweet stuff will be on the way soon
@Hougenmanufacturing the Welker’s need a magnetic drill..
I love this project, more off this 👍👍👍
You got a good canvas to try to build a Big Bud with a PTO.
What an awesome project!. I have to say something I like about any old equipment you can still actually work on it.
You lads+ dad are an unbeatable team .
hope this beast gets nice new Bud paint job!!
That's the plan!
@@WelkerFarms great project!! Cant wait to see its completion! How long do you guys think it will take?
Oh it'll get a new paint job, the question is: Will it be in line with the other Buds or will they keep the green & yellow pinstripes that are on there from the previous owner?
Tune in next time to find out. 😁
In the winter months I spend more time in my garage than I do in my house. My new toy, Mustang GT350. I wanted a Big Bud but I only have 2 acres.
Will you be making it have a tilt cab like the newer series for better access for maintenance?
It’s a budding beauty!
I've been looking forward to this!!

The series 1 and 2 give retro look😊
It'll definitely have a unique look. We want to keep the overall look as close to the original as possible.
Your build videos are my favorite videos please keep them coming. God bless your families in the new year to come..
FrankinBud got mini stilts.
Wow, that will be a big transformation for the big Bud. Oh, not to forget, you need to change the name to Godzilla Bud. Just a thought.
Something for Nick to chew on a stand is only as strong as its weakest piece something i learned many years ago
That makes a lot of sense!
I think three cabins like this fit in a versatile DeltaTrac.
Man that's real heavy steel on the frame if that Big Bud
Good job
Legarms man you’re lookin good! “Strong like bull”

Coolest project ever!
You guys should get a mag drill you would love it and make the holes perfect we have two of them

Cork works good for sound proofing

The bud frame is like rebuilding an iron bridge.

Just imagine installing an air-ride suspension for the cab. 😉
Oh, good! Thought it was your face..... lol 😂😂😂😂
It’ll keep you girls out of trouble this winter
Id love to see dual lsw’s

The water jet in Great falls can do 2” plate with straight holes.
❤way to go
Who's gonna invent the ratchet wrench big enough for those bolts :D @2:25
Greetings from Choteau
You should spray lizard skin on the inside of the cab for heat and sound control.👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
