Always interesting listening to Father Phil talking about different tractors. He has a massive knowledge on them.
She's a beast sounding like she's needing an engine rebuild tho.
I think it's taking your Dad back a few years and you can clearly see the happiness on his face. Hopefully done up and cleaned down you will have a useful functioning , appreciating asset . What's not to like. Health to enjoy.

Same thing here. First it sounded like a broken bearing or worn gears somewhere but it could be just vibration around engine. Watched it again and now it seems like engine knocking. Go figure.
@@matains88 had one on a ford 3000 rattled like that drove me nuts till it had to come aff sure father phill would have noticed , keep us in the loop
Just looked at the video and the noise is down to the way the mic is picking up the sound there’s no knocking in the engine

Father Phil sure looks happy to have that tractor on the yard. Sure is a good feeling to find something that you've been waiting to find for a few years. She sounds really good. Like a real tractor!@
Delighted to see ye got one, I think Father Phil will be happy working on that one. Im tidying up a 2720 at the moment myself so hopefully I will learn a bit more about them from ye.
Great tractor , my neighbours had a 2720 and a 2640 and done drainage for years and putting in the grass with them

great to see a 2725, remember my grandad driving one from new was on a uk D registration plate, as a 13 year old I left like a king driving it leading bales etc, it was an electronic one too

Nice one lads i remember driving one of these about 20 years ago with a dump trailer i was used to driving a 575 so this seemed like a beast of a yoke 👍
And a fine looking tractor so she is . It will look grate with a little clean here and there and father Phil will have her working like a new one no time at all.

hello Phill I used to work for an agri contractor who had an a neighbour who was also an agri contractor that has an MF 2720 pulling a NH 342 6' double chop harvester side filling. Lovely sound from the Perkins 6 Cil deisel engines

She might’ve been 147 horses back in her day but I’d say a few horses have galloped away over the years nice tractor though 🤌😂

They were good tractors in there days, I remember you could have a picnic in side the cab they were that big.

Gurteen ag college had a 2645 from that era before it was replaced by a Fiat 110 90 it must have been a big tractor for students to operate in the 80 s

The MOD had these back in the 80's and Massey changed the speedshift gears round so that it did a genuine 30mph on the road so 50K. The brakes are slightly under engineered for going at 30mph tho.

Serious tractor In their day! One for the lowloader!
They had a 2645 in ag college while I was there. Lovely machine to work apart from hooking up to a trailer or 3 point machine. The clutch used grab like a dog when trying to inch backwards. They tried anything and everything but could never get it sorted.
hi phil that tractor is a french import , the hitch are all the go out here , very good hitch just here in france all trailers come with a jack or run a bar under the drawbar and in the arms
It's 1987 you couldn't expect a minter.. Far better to buy in working clothes than tarted up imo... Father Phils smile says it all 👍🏻

Guessing the ursus is for going. It's one of the only tractors that aren't Massey and haven't seen it in any videos since the clutch went
My uncle has a 2685 some beast them old masseys are.
One thing I am surprised about is not to see a drop nose/slanted bonnet Massey in your yard yet. I thoroughly enjoyed driving a 5613 and 5455 back in the day.
No reasoning behind this but I do know a lot of local farmers love them! Surprised to not see one in the Stewart fleet! Maybe you’ve had one?

I like these type of tractors now why spares are not so common in Africa 🌍 probably Zambia thank you very much for your advert made on 2725 make spares like hydrolic pumps and 4 speed shift available on markets

Hi, just an idea and i don't know if they still have it but on Ebay a firm called Tyrone tractors are selling parts off a 2640, on the pic the door is there and it looks a bit better than yours
