The 2725 is the ideal tractor to restore as it can be added to the fleet as a working machine. The Massey Ferguson 2600 and 2700 series are among the classiest tractors ever built.
If the Crystal gets chosen Father phill will get help offered to him from all over Ireland. The man who sold you the 1200 once told me he didn’t ever break Zetor/Ursus because the new parts were very cheap and the used internal parts were often too worn to sell on again even though they were fine in the tractor prior to breaking it.
The 8011 would be a handy one too parts can be got cheap for them out of poland. The pto welded in is common as it used to slide out and if u wernt using 1000 shaft it was welded. Breaks not a big job to do on them eather. All cab parts and infact all parts for the whole tractor can be easyly got for them. If that engine is completely gone u can get a perkins 6354 conversion kit that bolts straight in and will bring her well up on power and speed. Extremely comfortable tractor blows anything of the 70s out of the water. Would be a lovley one for ye lads for a bit of extra flavor to the fleet. 👍👍
I think the grandfathers tractor would be the best one to do phil. One reason it would look good in the farm shop, two its a handy enough to restore and three it would give space and time to finish off the 1200.
Grandpa's tractor or the 590.. . You guys have enough tractors to work on for along time . The tractor that started it all should definitely go in the shop
The old fergie 20 for me lads, its the first tractor to ever come to the farm and should be given pride of place in the new shop when its built, keep it up lads ye are giving us great content👍
The Ferguson 20 would make a great project. The first tractor in your family - that's more than enough reason to get her done. Straight petrol ones with the early Standard Motor Company engine are rare. I had one from 1949 too. It wouldn't be a very big job either considering the job ye did on the 1200!
Brilliant I will stick with my original choice 1 Ferguson 20 2 , 2725 Why be useful tractor to have running 3 Crystal Also be useful tractor to have running and going on my experience of them the cheapest easiest engine to repair Front axle off Head and Sump everything easy to get to you would do 2 Crystal 4 cylinder engines for 1 Perkins and likely a better engine As you said Father Phil the 6 Cylinder was a Beast We never had a lot of trouble with Stopping Big downfall was those sick rubber blocks under the diesel tanks and poor radiator 4, Massey 590 Never a big fan Now it’s poor starting could be due to a slow starter motor Had a similar experience with a Perkins Changed Starter no more difficult starting , and the starter came from Kerry Ireland to Western Australia Not available in Australia in 2017 G Luk
8011 was the workhouse on many farms and contractors used them too because of the wheel grip . I have a 74 one and it's still able to work. Brakes could be a problem if not maintained especially the rubber covers on the brake units at the back-end and the thimble size of a brake resovoir emptied too quickly if you had a weep from a worn seal. I used mine for years on a Welger RP 200 baler and many other jobs around the farm. As Massey men there yous will probably find it strange to consider restoring a make that yous have no family goes with but throughout Ireland a lot of farmers got great service from Zetors and especially the finance packages to purchase them back in the day which gave the less well off farmers a chance to have a fresh tractor to use and a great dealer network also...
Unfortunately in my opinion some of the machines wouldn’t need repair if minded slightly rather just fucked around the place, like the kneverland mower shouldn’t be left out the way it was and appears to be perfect, also what about the johndeere mower and baler & the front kuhan mower, where are they. Buy a few covers and tarps wouldn’t go astray, line up the tractors and put them under cover, or even a couple of containers so things can be undercover.
The tipping in the 1200 was in her the first night it was started! Sounds like a valve as she's a bit droney and soft on the rev. Should be hard and sharp.
I think either 2725 as like others have said it'll be a good working tractor for you, or the 20 as it'll make a nice attraction for your farm shop/ museum
That’s a tidying job that can be done anytime once the tractor is quieter at the end of the year along with any other wee bits. Not a winters long project
Zetor Crystal 8011 hands down my da and uncle both had 1 for hedge cutting many a memory fighting with the brother to see who would get out with da in the zetor
Evening all and the walking Tractor Guru I would like to throw a spanner in the works The last project was for Uncle Ian And yes its great for your subscribers to have an opportunity to choose But !!! Why not let Farther Phil choose out of the last 4. And I vote for 590 ? It’s all good and fine for something to look at But you are a very busy farm If an extra tractor can help Why not !!!!
I just watched the video of the collection of the 2725 and everyone was commenting that there was a knock in the engine which could be heard on the video and phill said it was only the wind on the microphone, so now hes saying their is actually a knocking.
The Ferguson 20 is getting my vote because its the tractor that started it all at the beginning and with the family connection that sealed it for me because we still have my grandfathers first tractor which is a Saunderson model G but it was a very close decision between the 20 and the 590.
Father Phils passion for his engineering is so nice to see, his knowledge & memory is very sharp...
The 2725 is the ideal tractor to restore as it can be added to the fleet as a working machine. The Massey Ferguson 2600 and 2700 series are among the classiest tractors ever built.
Lads this is the best channel on utube great family hard working people lovely family well done 👏
I would sort out 6499 first as a front-line tractor it's looking tatty it needs sorting, in my opinion, mudguard aircon mirror paint
That tractors fine I wouldn't even mind them sorts things lad
Agree
I 100% agree w you she is in bad need for some tlc
@@Johnnycambellif she’s not broke don’t fix it 😊
6499 still making money without all that
If the Crystal gets chosen Father phill will get help offered to him from all over Ireland. The man who sold you the 1200 once told me he didn’t ever break Zetor/Ursus because the new parts were very cheap and the used internal parts were often too worn to sell on again even though they were fine in the tractor prior to breaking it.
Convert the 7610 back, would be a handy rake/Tedder tractor.
The 590 is definitely getting my vote anyway
8011 ..............a tractor that was ahead of its time .........when it first came out in 69 ............love to see it restored
Do the Zetor phil
Zetor
Zetor.cristle is fine tractor one.ingardin
Have a zero crystal in the garden reconditioning

I've just voted for the Zetor if only to get it in from the weather. The others are stored inside.
The new camera and double Mike setup are class.. serious improvement
I vote for whatever Father Phill want's. Passion if key when it comes to restorations imo.
Hi do the 20 and 590 as ye good at 2 tractors no problem to ye best of luck
Refurb the grandfathers tractor and use the time saved to get the 1200 right 👍.
Zetor the workhorse in Ireland for many years!
Think since the 20 has such a family history it would be great to have it in the museum.
2725 because you can put it to use on days when there’s a breakdown or Days when you are really busy
Grand fathers T20 gets my vote. 2725 would nice as could still be used around the farm.
Straight petrol Ferguson 20 a very rare machine now
Definitely the zetor, they really are a beautiful, eye catching tractor restored👌
Well you're grandfather's 20 would get my vote Phil, just because it's your family's first tractor, nice pice to have in your museum ..
The old fergie 20 for me lads, its the first tractor to ever come to the farm and should be given pride of place in the new shop when its built, keep it up lads ye are giving us great content👍

I have a crystal and want to do it up.the vids of ye restoring urs would Realy help vote zetor crystal
Ferguson 20 gets my vote.
Ferguson 20, there's a glint in father Phil's eye for it
The 20 is my vote Phil
Darn. That 165 you have was the one to do for me. But the Zetor is my favourite now
Zetor Crystal all the way phil👍
I used to drive a 2680 brilliant tractor
Brilliant I will stick with my original choice 1 Ferguson 20
2 , 2725 Why be useful tractor to have running
3 Crystal Also be useful tractor to have running and going on my experience of them the cheapest easiest engine to repair Front axle off Head and Sump everything easy to get to you would do 2 Crystal 4 cylinder engines for 1 Perkins and likely a better engine As you said Father Phil the 6 Cylinder was a Beast We never had a lot of trouble with Stopping Big downfall was those sick rubber blocks under the diesel tanks and poor radiator
4, Massey 590 Never a big fan Now it’s poor starting could be due to a slow starter motor Had a similar experience with a Perkins Changed Starter no more difficult starting , and the starter came from Kerry Ireland to Western Australia Not available in Australia in 2017 G Luk
Drop that 590 down to me Phil , I’ll leave her like brand new for ye .
The 20 for the family history and could go in your shop
I voted for fergusson 20 love to see it when its done up
Do the 8011 there the best yokes
Ferguson 20 it’s a peace of family history it’s 3 generations of the Stuart family what a bit of history for your museum got to be the 20
8011 was the workhouse on many farms and contractors used them too because of the wheel grip . I have a 74 one and it's still able to work. Brakes could be a problem if not maintained especially the rubber covers on the brake units at the back-end and the thimble size of a brake resovoir emptied too quickly if you had a weep from a worn seal. My vote still the ferguson 20 nice to have the very first tractor on the farm up and running. And maybe pride of place in the museum
If your using a 565 cab on that 590 the center tunnel will need to be altered to suit 590
Zetor is the one ❤
The 20 seeing as it was the first tractor for the farm
590, it would be a handy tractor to have around the yard
Straight away, the Fergey 20.
Family History, the lot.
Definitely would like to see your great grandfathers tractor restored fully. The biggest challenge in it is getting it out if the shed 😅
2725 as it a good work hores and go straight to work when done and a great addition to your everyday fleet
590 would b a good one to see back in action!
The family 20
1: the 20, 2: 590 3: 2725 4: that scrap metal zetor😃
Zetor or 2725
The tipping in the 1200 was in her the first night it was started! Sounds like a valve as she's a bit droney and soft on the rev. Should be hard and sharp.

I think either 2725 as like others have said it'll be a good working tractor for you, or the 20 as it'll make a nice attraction for your farm shop/ museum
That 1200 is a fine looking yoke
The bonnet of the 99 should of been on the list
That’s a tidying job that can be done anytime once the tractor is quieter at the end of the year along with any other wee bits. Not a winters long project
Will the 1200 engine man stand over the repairs?
Engine spares Ltd.. not a chance
Has to be the Zetor Crystal for me. Without doubt my favourite tractor ever made. Learned to drive on a 5011.
Zetor Crystal got my vote...

Evening all and the walking Tractor Guru
I would like to throw a spanner in the works
The last project was for Uncle Ian And yes its great for your subscribers to have an opportunity to choose
But !!!
Why not let Farther Phil choose out of the last 4.
And I vote for 590 ?
It’s all good and fine for something to look at

I said if to my father at the time and he told me that’s what it was but changed his mind later
Jaysus that will be a good one,
The first Artificial Intelligence tractor in Longford😂😂
The Ferguson 20 is getting my vote because its the tractor that started it all at the beginning and with the family connection that sealed it for me because we still have my grandfathers first tractor which is a Saunderson model G but it was a very close decision between the 20 and the 590.

The 20 just the history it has its number 1 all the way !
The 2725 would look a lovely tractor done up and the 8011 aswell but for the family history alone I'd pick the Ferguson 20 first tractor on the farm..
