I must say lads this is very close to a perfect video, no fluff straight to the point, and i cant quite put my finger on it but there was something about the way this was filmed and edited that made its seem so professional and polished, well done the whole team, your hard work shows.
I used to work at the River Restaurant and I have to say I'm glad they had a really nice time. The team there is fantastic. If you're looking for really good fish, I really do recommend going and having their specials. Dover Sole is incredible and their cocktails are pretty great too even if you just want to sit at the bar and have a nice time with some oysters.
I'm a sucker for the American Bar at the Savoy as well as their afternoon tea. One of my Musts when I visit London (from far-distant San Francisco.) Now I need to put the River Restaurant on my list.
Is it really a Review, if a "Marble" bathroom with massive room and attendants (4 out of 5) gets the same score as the tiny closet "Smallest so far" (4 out of 5)? Maybe its a "Tour" of the Loos?
Great episode! It’s nice to see people review Gordon and be positive. I met him back in his kitchen nightmares days in the Us and he was fantastic it’s rather refreshing to see positive reviews as it seems to be a going theme for people to try and knock him down

We ate at petrus when I was very pregnant with my first child and while the food was delicious, I was overall even more impressed with the hospitality, the accommodations, and just the overall ambiance. I've never felt more welcomed to a restaurant and while we spent $500 on a meal for two of us, it's genuinely an experience I will never forget

Having dined at my fair share of Gordon’s restaurants, from Royal Hospital Road and down I would go along with Ben’s quick review. Of the Savoy restaurants I personally go for the Savoy Grill, when the foods great in all of them, the small things like old memories comes into play, had an orgasmic moment with a Sole en papillote there 🥰
They were so shocked to be recognized.😂 Perhaps the fact that it was pre-arranged and they just happened to have a camera crew trailing along behind them gave her a subtle clue.
If I hadn't seen the Community Note about a "Sorted Studio" I'd be confused why y'all are releasing these kind of videos and filming at Barry's house. So excited for Wednesday! My alarm is set for 2pm est!

Gordon Ramsey used to have a "gastro"pub in Chiswick. I went once. The food was mid at best with an unjustified mark up, and the only ale on draft was Pride. Given the quality of the competition in the neighborhood, it's no surprise it shut down in short order. Trading off your name isn't going to work where people have ample better and in some cases better and cheaper options.
OMG, this was so fun! It's so nice to see you guys out on the town but still in a food setting! Baz was extra charming in this video for some reason but that could just be me. Either way, this was such a breath of fresh air! Also, happy cuddles all around!

Went to a Bread St kitchen at St Paul's a good while ago, left highly disappointed, ordered a king crab omelette that wasn't seasoned. Asked for salt and explained that there was no seasoning in the omelette. No apology and plonked the salt on the table, then left. Was lovely once I'd salted it but...so when I'm in London now zero chance of me going back to one of his places. Really enjoy these review videos, more please as we haven't had a low medium or high budget one for a while. Love the channel and thanks guys.
Ramsey not cooked for about a decade, but his protoges are really damn good, is why Clare Smith and Matt Abé are some of the best chefs in the UK. I still say you should go to the Dorchester for actually good food, the Savoy is for tourists. The burger place is rubbish, complete waste of money, 100s of places in London better and cheaper. Love the video, like kush taking Jamie on steaks, have the feeling the boys had a great time.
Many, many years ago, I was in the UK, and the best fish & chips I ever had was out of a hole in the wall in a little town called Mallaig in Scotland. I followed my nose down an alley to a literal hole (window) in a wall and got my fish & chips wrapped in newspaper and sat on a bench by the harbour to eat it. I have never had fish & chips so good in the 40 year since.
This whole episode, I just kept thinking "Ramsay - Pass it on"!!! It would be absolutely insane! Gordon would have to turn down the pressure by several notches though. They got Dame Emma, they can get Ramsay!!

You guys have been trying to get him on the channel, and I'm here for it! He does the basics so well, after watching his video on frying an egg, my breakfast game shot up. I'm organising the team Christmas dinner this year and the middle restaurant looks amazing and up my traditional British street. Got a dumb question, never been to a high end restaurant, I'm guessing you guys just didn't order sides right? Kind of weird just getting fish and nothing with it.
Egg dishes are very hard to do perfectly. That's why you don't so them very often on high end restaurant menus. Restaurant chefs are frequently asked to cook an egg dish as part of applying for jobs. To see that perfect omelet on the menu at the Savoy says quite a lot about Ramsay's dedication to the quality coming out of that kitchen.

i read once that the two places fooderies let themselves down is the loos and desert menu. For me ice-cream only puddings is like being punched in the face, i have paid £45+ for a main and the puddings come from wilco, yet i went to a Lebanese place most expensive main £15 and puddings all made in the restaurant , the loos were really clean and supplied too (i dont use hand dryers)
I've seen a lot of reviews on TH-cam from UK based food reviewers on Ramsey's food and more often than not they aren't impressed by it. Yet you both were impressed so either it's a case of it's just been a bad day or restaurants have seen you recording and want to make an effort
I think most people are looking to take him down. We had a genuinely lovely time and that that they delivered on all levels. It’s not cheap but they make sure you get what you pay for.
What was Barry's problem in this video? Only time somebody is that desperate for cuddles all day is because theyve been drugged up on ecstacy the whole time. Theres affection and theres overboard and this was unusual for him
It may have been auto-correct, did you mean "Sarson's" malt vinegar? I disliked salt immensely as a kid, but loved flooding a fish supper with lots of vinegar!

i read once that the two places fooderies let themselves down is the loos and desert menu. For me ice-cream only puddings is like being punched in the face, i have paid £45+ for a main and the puddings come from wilco, yet i went to a Lebanese place most expensive main £15 and puddings all made in the restaurant , the loos were really clean and supplied too (i dont use hand dryers)

I've seen a lot of reviews on TH-cam from UK based food reviewers on Ramsey's food and more often than not they aren't impressed by it. Yet you both were impressed so either it's a case of it's just been a bad day or restaurants have seen you recording and want to make an effort
I think most people are looking to take him down. We had a genuinely lovely time and that that they delivered on all levels. It’s not cheap but they make sure you get what you pay for.

What was Barry's problem in this video? Only time somebody is that desperate for cuddles all day is because theyve been drugged up on ecstacy the whole time. Theres affection and theres overboard and this was unusual for him

Was so funny to see the Pearson's with the fish and chips. I still order mine from the UK for my french fries down here in South Carolina.
It may have been auto-correct, did you mean "Sarson's" malt vinegar? I disliked salt immensely as a kid, but loved flooding a fish supper with lots of vinegar!
