I was a chef there in my early 20s for a couple of years, what an experience, the work was hard and the days were long... but, i loved it.

He's right. The martini was a gin cocktail. Hence 007 requesting a custom vodka martini - shaken, not stirred.

I know a guy who makes retrofitted appliances a my God there is a reason why the stuff is awesome not only did it last long if you took care of it but the Styles we're honestly phenomenal not that I don't appreciate some of the more Sleek modern looks and he's able to combine that but there's something about the older fashion that has so much charm to it and because he's been able to work on these models using future technology he made them a lot more efficient because unfortunately some of these things had problems but it almost seems more rare in comparison to what we have to deal with a lot more simplistic depending on the appliance the same guy has a cousin who works on antique model cars and planes so in many ways it's a family business

“Film stars, celebrity chefs, fraudsters, murderers, sex criminals” were the last three really necessary? I feel like they’re kinda implied in the first two items on the list. Heck, they probably could’ve just left it at “celebrities” and we would’ve filled in the blanks.

Visited the Savoy last month: sumptuous, a bubble isolated from the real world.
One curious observation, though: Adjacent to the elegant entrance to the exquisite WCs is a grand portrait of our late Queen. Why there? Is it a subtle joke, linking one throne with another, perhaps?

This is supposed to be a look into the history of the Savoy and there is no mention of Cesar Ritz ? Along with chef Auguste Escofier, these two friends made the Savoy world renowned and yet this fool ( Dr Mathew Sweet ) does not mention Ritz ? He also doesn't mention that both men were fired from the Savoy for embezzlement? In typical British snobbery and bigotry, Dr Sweet complains that the Savoy's new owners, mainly the major shareholder being a Saudi prince, are the reason that the Savoy is too far removed from what it once was and is now a lesser hotel. This is a piss poor history lesson.
